I bought this tablet last week, and I tried to install CM 10 roms. I managed to install with succes except for one big thing: The screen is overlay, and I cannot see the complet displayed image! So... I downloaded and flashed the "original" rom from MSI website (versio 1.08). For my surprise, everything was OK except for the same problem with the screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem for a few days. The story is that I installed Custom ROM and it stop asking for unlock code when I insert a new carrier sim card. Somebody told me to restore to Stock Firmware. I used "KDS Firmware Update" to push Stock Firmware from my PC but when the phone restart to install Stock Firmware, Custom Recovery Mode appear instead of Stock Recovery Mode. As the result, it failed to install.
I'm looking for a way to restore Stock Recovery Mode but I found nothing. Now, how to do it or give me the Stock Recovery Image zip for my LG Optimus G E973.

I had rooted my galaxy FIT on stock rom with gingerbread 2.3.4 & firmware version S5670DDKQ5 using SUPERONECLICK earlier.
Recently my fone was upgraded by samsung kies to gingerbread 2.3.6 & firmware version S5670DDKT2, and after the upgrade I was unrooted again
When I tried to root again, all my attempts failed, I used SuperOneClick 2.3.3 to root my fone again, but it failed after STEP 7.
Why can't I root my fone now, has SAMSUNG patched the zergrush exploit?
If so how do I root again?, I mean it should be safe enough to try coz I don't wanna brick my phone....

I have a small annoying issue that I am sure could be fixed with a flash, the back button randomly stops working until I reboot.
The baby Einstein on their 800 number thought a factory reset would fix it, then that using the software button was a good enough solution and had no clue about tablets in general. Through Support e-mail they were heading towards wanting me to ship the tablet back rather than supply a link to firmware. I explained to them it doesn't appear to be hardware related as it is random, and reboot fixes it.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (GT-19300) international version. I rooted it last night. Took a custom backup of ROM and backup using Titanium backup. I installed cyanogenmod 9 on it today. It was working perfectly. Then when i installed Google apps (gapps) and restarted it got stuck on the bootscreen. I hardbooted and now all i see is this fuzzy black n white screen ( like static). I tried going into clockworkmod recovery but still the same screen. However, i can still go to odin mode.
So i guess i have to install stock firmware through odin now. But i'm unable to download the firmware. All links are on hotfile and as everyone knows , it sucks :/ download stops after 2 min. Cant find a mirror also.
I've tried downloading it many times but failed

My question is, since I flashed the csc and kernel, how do I flash back to the stock JF6 rom that came with the phone? Just the pit and .tar (pda)? I have the firmware and the pit file.. just wondering what is entailed because of flashing the additional csc and kernel files as well.

This is my first post and I am new to Android so excuse my ignorance if this is well documented and common knowledge. I have a stock ADP, firmware 1.0, no updates no mods and of course I want to get the latest features such as voice control, latitude etc, and so begins the fun. Why is there nothing official that can be easily found which states what is going on for people that own the ADP? I must have read dozens of articles showing update procedures and claiming to have leaked OFFICIAL developer updates and only recently did i find 2 thread that eventually end with something stating there is NO official update for developer phones yet.
I have 2 gripes about this:
1. Why no official and clear statement from the development team to clarify this before people start scrambling desperately to install leaked versions that are false? (I know I almost did) 2. Why as a developer do I have to wait for features that are already available to end users?
Pls advise me the best unofficial firmware update to download. Froyo based.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently have a i9001 using Android 2.3.3 with baseband version I9001XXKF8 and am planning to flash with the newer I9001XXKQ1 version since there is no official 2.3.6 update for my region.
My current firmware I use has the South African CSC files(I9001OJCKF3) but the newer firmware uses the German CSC(I9001DBTKP1). My phone is not sim-locked.
If I flash to the newer firmware would that 'brick' the device? If I backup my current CSC files from /root/system/csc would I be able to restore these onto the newer firmware? If so would replacing these require factory reset or any such thing?

Now I would like to upgrade to the latest firmware. I found out that I needed something called Kies, so I downloaded it and followed the instructions - hooked up the phone after checking debugging, etc, but I got an error that said I don't have authorization or something. I started researching a bit, but got quickly overwhelmed with things I'd never heard of like "Odin".
I'm definitely a newbie with Android. Today, I looked online for overclocking my LG Optimus F3, and I found this thread "[MS659][F3] Freedom Kernel Overclocked" (I'm a newbie xda won't let me post links yet). It said you could achieve a 1.4 GHz overclock (my device has a 1.2 GHz processor). So, dummy me, I got all excited and flashed the MS65910c firmware to my phone like the thread said I needed to have (I didn't know that that would switch my service providers as I had Virgin Mobile). So, I'm a little confused still... Can I still have Virgin Mobile service with MetroPCS firmware? If not, I want to restore my device back to Virgin Mobile firmware (LS720ZV6). The problem is, I am also a little confused with the flashing firmware thing. Can I flash .zip files instead of .kdz files (I couldn't find LS720ZV6 .kdz firmware files on the web)?
