So basically my Samsung Galaxy S3 was SIM locked when I bought it. After getting it unlocked (long after warranty was void) I noticed the guys installed a really bad ROM and I want to reflash with a stock firmware. Will this lock my phone to a single network provider SIM card again?

I had rooted my galaxy FIT on stock rom with gingerbread 2.3.4 & firmware version S5670DDKQ5 using SUPERONECLICK earlier.
Recently my fone was upgraded by samsung kies to gingerbread 2.3.6 & firmware version S5670DDKT2, and after the upgrade I was unrooted again
When I tried to root again, all my attempts failed, I used SuperOneClick 2.3.3 to root my fone again, but it failed after STEP 7.
Why can't I root my fone now, has SAMSUNG patched the zergrush exploit?
If so how do I root again?, I mean it should be safe enough to try coz I don't wanna brick my phone....

View 1 Replies View RelatedUnable to find my stock firmware.. every link points to the same file from hotfile.com and my ISP provider sucks causing the download to get stuck in between, tried two times at 100Kbps, failed both the times, once at 62%(552 MB)! its very hard to download it, any non hotfile link or some direct link if possible, can download it and host it as a torrent or something because i have very bad net connection and its slow also.

yesterday I flashed my Galaxy Ace 2 with the JellyCreamMessi10 Rom.
The update worked fine, but not so the Rom. It looked quite well, but didn't detect my SIM Card.
So I wanted to downgrade my phone again to the original firmware with Odin, which also worked well until the phone said "Now rebooting...".
Nothing happened, the phone did not reboot, so that I powered it off and tried to power it back on.
Unfortunately, the Ace 2 does not react on any button, display stays completely black.
Tried several things like connecting the phone to USB and inserting the battery, afterwards, but nothing happens.
For me it looks like my phone is broken, but how I can get it back to live?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 phone with Gingerbread 2.3.3 version installed by default.
I tried to install Jelly Bean ROM 4.1.2 version but could not succeed.
I have tried out the below steps-
1) Phone was unrooted, so rooted it and checked using Root Checker app.
2) Downloaded zip file for Jelly Bean ROM and tried installing it, but getting some error as "No space left on the device"
Yesterday I was having fun trying out the secret codes (like *#*#4636#*#*) and tried out the touch screen code. Then clicked on update (firmware).
Then the touch was not working. I tried taking out battery and putting it back on. Tried factory reset after backing up data with Kies. Tried rooting the simplest way. Tried to flash using Odin with a recovery and pit file. Still nothing is working.

"Incompatible with other applications using the same shared user id." It comes with the Maps, too. I cant find a solution to the problem. There are some, but I dont want to flash another ROM. So, i was looking for Firmware for Returning to Stock. and i found one, and used Odin3 to force update with the firmware,then i turned on my phone... and the screen said AT&T WORLD i accidental downloaded AT&T Galaxy S Captivates firmware... and now i cant go to 'Reset Factory Mode' or 'Downloading Mode'. can anyone help me? if i just can go to downloading mode, i can fix this. is there anyway to auto-goto downloading mode when you insert USB? like un-screwing the phone and doing something? i can take any-risk to fix this.

My question is, since I flashed the csc and kernel, how do I flash back to the stock JF6 rom that came with the phone? Just the pit and .tar (pda)? I have the firmware and the pit file.. just wondering what is entailed because of flashing the additional csc and kernel files as well.

S2 i777...a friend of mine bought it for me from us and i unlocked it using the code purchased from ebay..my problem is that i rooted my device to remove bloatware from the device and accidently removed samsung stock weather app(accuweather)completely..after that i unrooted my phone to stock stage as it was at the time my friend bought it but the weather app is no where to be found on my device....i tried to find for a solution to reinstall that app..i found the apk from here but when i try to install it gives me an error "Application not installed".

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Samsung GT-P6800, that is 7.7 tab, actually, some days ago, it has developed the bootloop problem, I decided to load custom recovery and take the backup of the data, because I can't able to lose the data as the data is very much important that is stored on the tab, but when I load the Odin V3.70 & V1.85 and in the PDA section I load the .tar file of TWRP 2.6.3.0 recovery, and flash then I got the success & pass message in the Odin, but when I restart the tab in the recovery mode, I again go in to the Default stock recovery that is e3 Android System Recovery, I don't know why this is happening, as I have tried many versions of Odin as well as twrp and cwm recovery, but whenever I go in the recovery mode, I found the stock recovery loading(e3).

I'm not all that new to rooting I had a coolpad quattro which I rooted in the past phone btw don't ever buy it. I have been round and round this for 3 weeks now trying to find the right ROM so that my phone will work as if it was a UK phone. Mostly I find myself directed to parts of this web-site which I am them prevented from accessing because I am judged to be technically not competent (which is probably true, but not useful).
I have a problem for a few days. The story is that I installed Custom ROM and it stop asking for unlock code when I insert a new carrier sim card. Somebody told me to restore to Stock Firmware. I used "KDS Firmware Update" to push Stock Firmware from my PC but when the phone restart to install Stock Firmware, Custom Recovery Mode appear instead of Stock Recovery Mode. As the result, it failed to install.
I'm looking for a way to restore Stock Recovery Mode but I found nothing. Now, how to do it or give me the Stock Recovery Image zip for my LG Optimus G E973.
