General :: Bluetooth Peripheral Device Drivers
Nov 30, 2013
Windows 7 (64 bit) Dell Desktop PC and my lovely new Sony Xperia Z1 trying to send files via Bluetooth rather than keep plugging and unplugging the USB cable and risk breaking the cover. well that was my plan anyway. The Dell didn't come with Bluetooth so I bought a wee plug-in USB Bluetooth unit. I have managed to copy a couple of files but it took ages to get it to connect properly and now it won't do it at all. There are 4 driver messages under hardware which all show problems with Bluetooth peripheral device and no drivers installed, but I can't find any anywhere?

I ordered Le Pan II tablet yesterday.Today I found out that so far there are no ADB drivers released by manufacturer.Does it mean I will not be able to develop applications on this device at all? I do not mean developing applications that require root access (this tablet has not been rooted either but I am OK with this).

I am getting the "Code: 10 - This device can not start" issue.
Running XP SP3
Looking at the device manager I see the following drivers installed under:
USB Controllers>
Samsung USB Composite Device>
-
sscdbus.sys
sscdwh.sys
sscdwhnt.sys
-
What driver am I missing? I read that there should be four. One for adb? I have even tried selecting the adb driver and it still only installs the three. I build computers for a living and can not for the life of me figure this out.

I've installed AndroidSDK and have the drives download but every time I point Windows to the folder it says no drivers were found for my device. I'm trying to do this with the phone being recognized as an ADB device.
I got the PC to recognize my phone by installing HTC Sync but in the Device Manager it still shows a yellow exclamation point.
When I troubleshoot it, it says Windows can not launch driver "Error 37". Anyone know what's wrong? I have my phone rooted using the PB00IMG.zip file but can not complete the recovery partition due to the Windows not being able to communicate with my Eris.

I've googled this with no luck so far. I paired my Droid Charge with some an awesome pair of Freedom Bluetooth Headphones for the gym. I want to go running with a friend...can she buy the same headphones and connect to my phone as well so we can both listen to the same music as we run?
In other words, can one device (my droid) pair with 2 bluetooth receivers simultaneously?

Basically what am trying to do is use my HTC Amaze 4G or my ASUS Transformer as a usb blutooth adapter for my pc running windows 7 so i can connect my ps3 controller or wiimote via bluetooth so i can use it as a game controller. I figure since i have both of these devices that are bluetooth capable i wouldn't have to buy a usb bluetooth adapter. how to do this or if there's some required app or driver?

I have an MSI Windpad Enjoy 7 Tab that I used to to connect to an ELM327 OBDII bluetooth dongle for car diagnostics (torque app).
After upgrading from froyo to gingerbread, my tablet bluetooth doesn't detect the elm327 anymore, it also doesn't detect my car kit but it still detects other android phones perfectly well.
I know it's not a hardware problem or incompatibility since I already paired that device to this tablet before, it's a scan problem.
So here's my question: is there a way to "force feed" the bluetooth address of a device into android so it doesn't have to rely on a scan to find it?

Few months back Bluetooth worked fine in my HTC Velocity 4G and the OS was 2.x.x. Suddenly it started to malfunction. Bluetooth is working. Can search and find for Bluetooth devices. Can pair (but doesn't ask for the passcode confirmation). But,
1. Cannot connect to the paired device.
2. Cannot send or receive files. When share through Bluetooth it just nothing happens. Same for the file receiving.
I did reset but didn't solve the problem. Therefore I updated the OS to 4.0.3, then reset the phone. But no result.

Is it possible to control an Android device with a Bluetooth headset? I have a friend with a Windows phone who can listen to and reply to text messages as well as initiate calls through his bluetooth headset without touching the phone. It's very very cool, and I don't know that my Android has an answer to it. I would love to be able to do this on my Android and to use Evi through my bluetooth device. I have FlexT9 from Nuance, but it seems to require that I speak into the phone's microphone, as does Evi.
I have a rooted HTC Thunderbolt running das Bamf (don't remember the version) and a Plantronics Voyager Pro headset (same headset my friend with the Windows phone uses to control his phone).

I listen to Pandora in my car via Bluetooth every time I go somewhere. It's slightly annoying to have to launch the app every time. I'm wondering if there's an app out there that will automatically launch a program when my phone is paired with a specific device (like the Pioneer deck in my car).
I'd like my music to start up automatically when I start my car.

I'd like to establish a Bluetooth communication between an Android phone and a remote device. The class of the remote device is a basic one just a simple Bluetooth adapter. When I use the Bluetooth scan devices function, the phone recognizes devices from different class (ex. computer, phone, Bluetooth headset) but not this one.I tried it on a Samsung Galaxy Theos and a HTC Wildfire with Android 2.1 but I got the same result with both.Is that possible that the phone manufacturer or Android filters certain class of devices? Otherwise, is there another way to make this device discoverable?

C:> c:AndroidSDKadt-bundle-windows-x86sdkplatform-toolsadb devices
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached
Although I can see in Windows Device manager Android Phone - Android ADB Interface, some applications still write they can't see my Android device. I also can't see the tablet number.

I boot my Acer Iconia Tab A200 into fastboot mode (robot lying down and RED exclamation mark over it). I plug it into my Windows 7 (64bit) desktop computer with SDK installed, and from the directory with fastboot.exe I type FASTBOOT DEVICES but the device is not being seen, it just goes back to the prompt, like the command executed but didn't do anything. I assume this is because the drivers aren't installed. But I don't know how to install the "adb drivers".

My understanding is that once two devices are paired that they will happily exchange information with each other without further intervention and this is certainly my experience when working with Nokia phones and PCs.
I have a problem with the pairing of my Nokia 6300 phone and my new HTC Desire.
I paired the devices and ticked "Always Trust Device"
The HTC shows the devices as paired.
HOWEVER in order to transfer date from the Nokia to the HTC I always need to make the HTC discoverable before anything will happen.
This is particularly annoying since I 'm trying to transfer my photo collection and this has to be done photo by photo.

For my application i make a bluetooth discovery search to list all available bluetooth device in. If I'm in a room with a lot of computers etc, there is a really long list. So I'd like to filter Android phones from the lists. So I'm able to filter some devices like laptops, computers, etc.Does anybody know what are the possible constants which android phones can have? I don't want to risk to filter too many devices, but I also want to limit the list to only Android devices.
