General :: Installation Of USB Drivers Don't Works
May 15, 2014
I take the CyanogenMod 10.3 for my Alcatel OT995, it works fine on my device, but I can't use adb command line neither other features using adb.exe ! I can only access to storage mass device, so I think I have a problem with the USB drivers which connect ADB command to my phone. I can add that before I've installed this Rom on the device, I've installed many drivers on the PC :
Firstly I installed the owner's driver provided by Alcatel in the AlcatelAndroidManager.exe package,
secondly I installed the Google USB drivers provided because I'm using Android Virtual Devices (AVD Manager) to do some developping works. I used to launch adb with "adb start-server" so it's still working, I don't obtain any device in the list with "adb devices", why don't I get it ?
I've realized some cleaning actions : I uninstalled the USB drivers of Alcatel's software, I uninstall the Google USB driver , to finish I reboot the PC but it don't changed anything I tried to apply this (well explained) post without any success :URL.... I can't find "Android devices" category, neither "Usb Adb" entry... so my device is not recognized in the "Settings Panel". However the storage mass device appears as a volume named "

I'm trying to install SDK so I can root my phone, but I've run into a problem. I'm trying to update my drivers, but when I choose my usb driver folder, it says it cannot find the drivers to be installed. What is it I'm missing? I have the SDK folder on my computer. Does it need to be installed onto my phone's sdcard?

I'm running a GOCLEVER R75 tablet. I succeeded in installing the USB drivers to Windows XP pro from the last SDK I downloaded previously. But I can't install other drivers:
C:> c:AndroidSDKadt-bundle-windows-x86sdkplatform-toolsadb devices
adb server is out of date. killing...
* daemon started successfully *
List of devices attached
Although I can see in Windows Device manager Android Phone - Android ADB Interface, some applications still write they can't see my Android device. I also can't see the tablet number.

I boot my Acer Iconia Tab A200 into fastboot mode (robot lying down and RED exclamation mark over it). I plug it into my Windows 7 (64bit) desktop computer with SDK installed, and from the directory with fastboot.exe I type FASTBOOT DEVICES but the device is not being seen, it just goes back to the prompt, like the command executed but didn't do anything. I assume this is because the drivers aren't installed. But I don't know how to install the "adb drivers".

I'm trying to use the SWM and when I have everything all set up it tells me I have no device set up. I looked to see if I could find drivers for me Xperia X10 and all I kept getting linked to was the sony PC companion that apparently had those drivers installed. When I installed it and did all the set up stuff it still wouldn't recognize my phone other than as a removable disk. I have the USB debugging turned on, .Net framework installed, and supposed the drives yet it still won't read my phone.

I cannot find out how to add drivers to a ROM
I don't have a backup of the stock ROM, however i have a ROM in which everything apart from WiFi works ( 5 point touch screen, all hardware buttons, sound, screen)
This Q88 ROM is downloaded from [URL] .....
I tried the cyanogenmod ROM from ANONFBI [URL] ..... and nothing works apart from the wifi driver no touch, no volume buttons
I would like to extract the drivers from the q88 rom and add them to the cyanogenmod rom.
I've never been able to get the camera working its the single front camera it doesn't bother me its not very good
I tried this thread [URL] .....
However when i load a driver the ported PORTED JB-4.1.1 rom doesn't boot up
I see it has camera drivers but i dont know how to install them
I have attached a LSMOD from the q88 rom

Windows 7 (64 bit) Dell Desktop PC and my lovely new Sony Xperia Z1 trying to send files via Bluetooth rather than keep plugging and unplugging the USB cable and risk breaking the cover. well that was my plan anyway. The Dell didn't come with Bluetooth so I bought a wee plug-in USB Bluetooth unit. I have managed to copy a couple of files but it took ages to get it to connect properly and now it won't do it at all. There are 4 driver messages under hardware which all show problems with Bluetooth peripheral device and no drivers installed, but I can't find any anywhere?

I have a Chinese touch pad. I tried to install several custom rom (CM9, AOKP, etc ...) as well as Roma manufacturer of tablet very similar to mine (A90 Ampe, Sanei N90, etc ...).The flash firmware or install via Recovery is done very well. The android starts very well. However, the only problem I have is that my touchscreen is not responding.Indeed, I have to connect a mouse to use my tablet.
I love and I think it is possible created a sort of patch to apply via the recovery or via command ADB with the "drivers" of my touchscreen from my original rom.
I already recompiled the image of my ROM so I have access to the entire file structure. But I do not know enough to identify which files that match the drivers of the screen.

I own a Moto G (Global GSM) running CyanogenMod 11 rooted with TWRP recovery and the bootloader is unlocked. I have been trying to go back to the stock firmware using this guide: [URL] ..... but I have a problem. The adb drivers for my device work fine when I am in the system or in the recovery, but don't work in the bootloader. I am able to type "adb reboot bootloader" when I'm in the system/recovery and it will follow the command, but once I get into the bootloader it stops. When I type "adb devices" a line saying "List of devices attached" comes up with nothing underneath it.

When I try to reinstall the samsung drivers it comes up with access denied. I've got a galaxy s4 mini and tab 2. Same thing happens to both.

My problem is as follows: I'm having trouble rooting one of my customer's Android tablets (DIT 1010) version 4.0.3 and kernel version 3.0.8. (As far as I can tell there's no custom skin)
From what I've gathered Android knows 3 modes and ADB mode is the one that has to be active for me to be able to root it. However Windows stops recognizing the tablet once I've enabled USB debugging.
I've tried installing google android drivers, didn't work. I kept digging and found out I had to manually add my tablet's device ID to the .inf file. I tried this but still no dice. To be more specific these are the lines I've added (Without the Google.NTx86 and Google.NTamd64 lines, they're just for clarity):
[Google.NTx86]
; Android ADB Interface
%SingleAdbInterface%= USB_Install, USBVID_2207&PID_0006
%CompositeAdbInterface%= USB_Install, USBVID_2207&PID_0006&REV_0222
[Google.NTamd64]
; Android ADB Interface
%SingleAdbInterface%= USB_Install, USBVID_2207&PID_0006
%CompositeAdbInterface%= USB_Install, USBVID_2207&PID_0006&REV_0222
I can't really find anything about this tablet and apparently the ADB drivers are device specific.

I am trying to install an external WIFI antenna on my tablet (BQ Maxwell 2 Plus, rooted, CM10.1). The model of the antenna is TP - Link 722n.I have downloaded the drivers from backports project and, after compiling them, I have 8 .ko modules:
- ath.ko
- ath9k.ko
- ath9k_common.ko
- ath9k_htc.ko
- ath9k_hw.ko
- cfg80211.ko
- compat.ko
- mac80211.ko
When I try to insmod the cfg80211.ko module, an error occurs. The dmesg output is:
Code:
cfg80211: exports duplicate symbol __ieee80211_get_channel (owned by kernel)

I have recently bought the Navon Raptor 7. The internal storage is a bit too small for the apps I want to install and I would like to make the SD-card the default install location.
I know there's ways to do it though ADB, but I just can't get any of the drivers for the rk3066 working. Most of them say that they couldn't find the correct software for my device or that the driver was found but that there was an error during installation. My operating system is Windows 8 64-bit.

I got a wacom graphic tablett wich I want to use on my Android Tablet PC. Of course Android hasn't got a working driver for it, so thats why I want to install an opensource linux driver. So my first question is, if this might be possible. The linux driver is made for a 2.6 Kernel which of course is not complete the same as my 2.6 android Kernel, but are they similar enough to at least give it a try?
And I got an other question: A grafic tablett is you know... nothing else as a weird mouse so am I might be able to tell Android that it shoud use a simple mouse driver for the graphic tablett? Because my mouse is running well on it.

i don't know if this is possible, but lot of people have problems with touch screen on our chinese Tablets Bmorn V99 with ICS with original firmware.
Screen problem is gone when Bmorn is flashed with Eken ICS firmware, but there are other things that doesn't work with Eken.
Is there any way to get two IMG files (from Bmorn and Eken), and somehow get only display drivers from Eken and repack it to Bmorn?
