View 6 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a bit of info and/or a tut on how to remove apps with the rooted 2.1 for the Eris ( BTW thanks to all the dev's for their hard work). I have installed the rooted 2.1 with out a hitch. I have been looking around to find out how to uninstall a few of the apps (amazon, stocks, tweet) and found people that say to use SDK's ADB or terminal. I understand what the terminal is and the SDK that google offers is but not the ADB. I also understand that there is a chance to brick by removing the wrong things. So I don't want to just make a careless mistake.

I rooted successfully via Odin. downloaded root installer and removed the unwanted apps. Then I started playing around with other apps. But now when I try to use any of them I get "app was denied super user permission" and telling me I need to be rooted. I tried factory reset but that didn't work. In fact, I now can't even use app uninstaller to remove those apps.

View 7 Replies View RelatedOk so I rooted my LG Optimus F6 yesterday, I used root uninstaller to get rid of stock apps but by accident or careless I must have deleted LG setup wizard.. I later on that day Master Reset the phone and Now I can't get my phone to load up.. It turns on and brings me to LG setup wizard but says it unexpectedly stopped, I've tried hard resetting and I've went into safe mode and it brings up the message at the home screen, Home screen has unexpectedly stopped. Is there anything I can do to restore my phone back or somehow download setup wizard and install on to my phone from the PC. Also my PC isn't recognizing my phone so I can't even get into the files from the PC..

The guides have been helpful and clear on getting to this point, but now i am stuck of the multiple roms out there, very few of them actually list what's available. I wanted as few as possible of the stock apps (peep, amazon, footprints, all that garbage gone), overclock, 5-7 screens, and for it to do my taxes, change my timing belt, and book flights for me all at once, but can't seem to find out. Right now i've got home, senseui, and nexus launcher loaded up on here, using senseui cause that's what i am used to. Nexus launcher seems to be well a resource hog that this phone cant handle without overclocking.

First I thought that the gallery app got some problemes, rebooted my phone, still the same. Looked up the folders with Solid Explorer, well ... all files got definitely deleted.
I searched for this here on xda and google. Well, all I found out was that it could be ROM related, or that it could have something to do with RomManager (haven't installed it though). The curious thing is that the *.jpg and *.mp4 files got deleted from all folders and subfolders, not only from DCIM and even from the sd card.I'm not here for any recovery attempts, have done this already
Well this is not all. I've got some *.avi files on my phone (internal and external storage). Theses files were deleted too. BUT not at the same day as the other media files (*.jpg and *.mp4).
So this is the pre story. Now I wanted to know what can I do to discover what is causing this problem, because what's next? I want to be able to block specific contacts, unknown number or anonymous numbers and also specific contacts for SMS. I can see I have the option to send a contact direct to voicemail but don't have the same facility for unknown/anonymous callers and nothing to block SMS. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an LG Optimus S that I am trying to root, however I can't get it to connect to my PC. My brother has the same device and his connects fine right away to my system, however mine does nothing but charge when connected (used same drivers, PC, chord, etc.)
I tried restoring it to factory settings and no luck. Later took it to Sprint and he just re-updated the software and it connected right away to their PC. Then as soon as I got home it didn't connect again.
Also tried with my work laptop. His connects, mine doesn't. Could there be a reason why mine didn't work as soon as I got back from the store?
I made sure that the settings from by brothers phone matched mine and verified that the software is identical.
I am getting a replacement lg optimus g sent to me. will the sim transfer all info to the new phone? if not, how can i transfer all my contacts and apps from busted lg g to new one?

The phone got waterlogged being in a backpack during a thunderstorm. The common "overnight-in-rice" remedy worked to dry the phone. On power up everything seemed fine except for one thing, the notification that says "Safe to remove SD Card". Upon further inspection it seems to be irrelevant to the real problem, as the sd card is still readable and writable by the phone.
The phone "freezes" after allowing the phone to sleep (locking not necessary for the problem to occur). After the screen goes off for more than a few seconds, then next wake action will turn on the screen but the system will not respond. Only hitting the power button seems turn off the screen. From that point onward, no key is responsive (screen will stay off). The cause seems to be caused by the following logcat message

waitForCondition(LockCondition) timed out (identity=67, status=0). CPU may be pegged. trying again.
This warning is spammed from the point of "freezing" untill I pull the battery. Also the following message seems to be an indicator as to why the phone won't wake again.

The problem is difficult to debug because I cannot debug it, literally. The problem only occurs while on battery power. Connecting the cable to a usb port stopping this problem from occuring.
Things I've tried
-Airplane mode (to eliminate any communcation device as being the problem)
-Loaded an entirely different rom (Paranoid Android CM9 Based)
Is there any solution to unlock phone from network , to be sim free ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've just root my Desire using the unrevoked v3.21, and i intend to remove the bloatware like teeter, stock, talk and plurk once and for all. so i went to the market and download the root explorer and titanium backup. When i try to uninstall using the titanium backup, it freeze and reboot my phone, and the bloatware are still there. so i tried using root explorer to delete the apk and the odex in the system/app folder, but after i've deleted them, i reboot my phone and see they are still there. Is there any ways to remove the bloatware for good? I've search around and came across this "adb shell" that can be use to remove the bloatware. May i know how it works?
