General :: Can't Connect Phone To PC To Run Root Application (LG Optimus S)

I have an LG Optimus S that I am trying to root, however I can't get it to connect to my PC. My brother has the same device and his connects fine right away to my system, however mine does nothing but charge when connected (used same drivers, PC, chord, etc.)
I tried restoring it to factory settings and no luck. Later took it to Sprint and he just re-updated the software and it connected right away to their PC. Then as soon as I got home it didn't connect again.
Also tried with my work laptop. His connects, mine doesn't. Could there be a reason why mine didn't work as soon as I got back from the store?
I made sure that the settings from by brothers phone matched mine and verified that the software is identical.

Its been many months ive been waiting for the p690 root and custom rom but i have no luck...
I have a problem with my phone i purchased from a friend with e userdebug V08b test keys build gingerbread 2.3 withbaseband version unknown...
there have been some problem with the light, it automatically turns on most of the time....
root it and install a ROM is not userdebug
Hopefully you can extract it from your phone..

I had my LG Optimus rooted successfully using Motochopper but I ended up getting a update and it removed the root, I re-ran Motochopper like five times and not a single was successful so I'm assuming that update patched the exploit.
Is there anyway I can root it other than Motochopper or anyway I can get Motochopper to work again..?

I am using LG Optimus Vu P895 with V10c FW and its rootable with Root with Restore Bin4ry version 17 or 18, but now I got the phone upgraded to V10c over OTA (or KDZ file) and my phone is no more rootable by that method. I tried to run the tool as I did before but it ended very soon and the phone didn't restart as expected, maybe LG fixed the exploit to root this phone. How to root it after upgrading to V10c?

I have a few applications on my android that I cannot find the icons for to start them, the applications are not listed in the application key menu or on any of the 5 screens on my phone. I can only find them thru the settings menu if I tap setting> aplications >manage applications. not only is it frustrating I canot use them. I did find a somewhat long process for using them by typing the app name into google play yet However not only is that time consuming, any way to access the hidden icons?

I have a LG Optimus G2X (p999), running CM7.
The phone got waterlogged being in a backpack during a thunderstorm. The common "overnight-in-rice" remedy worked to dry the phone. On power up everything seemed fine except for one thing, the notification that says "Safe to remove SD Card". Upon further inspection it seems to be irrelevant to the real problem, as the sd card is still readable and writable by the phone.
The phone "freezes" after allowing the phone to sleep (locking not necessary for the problem to occur). After the screen goes off for more than a few seconds, then next wake action will turn on the screen but the system will not respond. Only hitting the power button seems turn off the screen. From that point onward, no key is responsive (screen will stay off). The cause seems to be caused by the following logcat message

waitForCondition(LockCondition) timed out (identity=67, status=0). CPU may be pegged. trying again.
This warning is spammed from the point of "freezing" untill I pull the battery. Also the following message seems to be an indicator as to why the phone won't wake again.

The problem is difficult to debug because I cannot debug it, literally. The problem only occurs while on battery power. Connecting the cable to a usb port stopping this problem from occuring.
Things I've tried
-Airplane mode (to eliminate any communcation device as being the problem)
-Loaded an entirely different rom (Paranoid Android CM9 Based)

I have a lg optimus 2x and a hp touchpad and the problem is my tablet doesnt suport gameloft games. And my phone does but has a little screen. So i would like to share my lg screen some how wifi and see it on my tablet! Like splash top like you use your tablet as a pc monitor but i want it as a android phone monitor! Basically, do you need to root your phone, to get apps to work? I've been reading around the net, and I've seen some things where it says that certain apps may require the phone to be rooted or what have you. Being an Android n00b, I have no idea what this means!. Also, is this the case for installing new themes? Does the phone have to be rooted for this?

My company has a policy for our company email application (Good) that doesn't allow the application to run if a phone is rooted. Brilliant, the application is password protected and has remote wipe capabilities, but that still isn't enough for them! Which means I'm stuck carrying two phones around. I would like to either hide superuser/su/root from the phone when I'm not needing the escalated rights, or just block it from seeing it completely.
I'm currently running (about to upgrade to a new ROM, but not sure which):
Samsung Galaxy S Captivate

So, my ROM comes preloaded with a root app that I've never heard of, and I want to use Superuser (and the Elite I paid for).
The bundled app came with a 'cleanup/uninstall' script, that I ran, that promised to remove itself and it's root-granting abilities.
Now, even though I've got Superuser (Elite) installed, apps are saying I don't have root.
How do I configure Android (or SU) to use SU as my root-granting application?

I downloaded android 4.0.4 version without any trouble.Yesterday I tried to get the jelly bean version.Everything went good till the point he was going to start. (Battery was full-loaded, no doubts about that).Then suddenly the phone didn't react anymore.I tried everything, even volume down+home button +power button.The phone also won't connect with PC.So i can't use Odin and download another version.

I just installed both kies and kies 3 to my pc and my phone was unable to connect to either one. my us has phone has been debugged my phone and i checked under connections for kies and it was no where to be found. i am running andorid 4.3 on my samsung galaxy s4. connect my phone to my pc should not be this difficult

My Samsung S3 had broken power switch (hypersensitive) and it's fixed now - they did factory reset etc and now that I am trying to set up things back I cannot connect to my google account - it says that I have input incorrect login details but I am 100% sure its correct because it works on PC. I did password reset from my cell.
