General :: Jelly Bean Notification On Lockscreen

I've got a HTC One S since few weeks ('got a MotoDefy before) and i'm really disappointed about the jellybean lockscreen :-/
It's really annoying to have to slide the notifications , on iPhone you just have to wake the screen to have a look on all your notifications (and i'm not even talking about the fact that the screen didn't switch on when you receive an email or sms on JB)
I'm using for now Widget Locker with Executive Assistant but there is a lot of things that's going wrong....
SO, is there a way to have the notification screen instead of the lockscreen...? I think it would be a great feature for customs roms!

So I rooted my HTC One X and installed TripNDroid's Jelly Bean ROM on it. I have played around with it for a while now and something is bugging me. Whenever I'm listening to music, the lockscreen changes to the album cover art. Finding nothing about this in my search through the Internet. Is there a way to disable this function without having to install a launcher or something similar?

I am a GALAXY GRAND Duos user running 4.2.2..I have a problem with my gallery . I changed my stock gallery to Note 2's stock gallery and than after completing the process I had a reboot and than suddenly I saw that the gallery was missing from my phone yhan I did recover my old secgallery2_galaxy with the odex file after installation when I opened gallery the gallery didn't open and said UNFORTUNATELY THE GALLERY HAS STOPPED.I tried QUICKPIC too but it didn't change the lockscreen wallpaper. I tried to change wallpaper through settings but it opened the wallpapers the phone had.

I just upgraded to jellybean 4.1.1 for my galaxy s3 on at&t. I am having a problem with the notification shade. It is exactly the same as before. I was looking forward to the new features there.

I'm curious how can i modify the status bar [URL] .... <---- where is wifi activation ,data sound etc.
and
notification bar [URL] ..... <--- Where is the battery ,clock wifi signal etc.
I want the notification bar ICS like (blue icons) and the notification bar icons the same ,just change the color to blue.
I followed a guide in order to change framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk from /system/ ( my phone is rooted + cwm) but i couldnt get it going (i couldnt find all the icons to change).

It's possible to personalize the colour of a notification on status bar? When i get a notification, I see the black and white icon of the app on the status bar. It's possible to have a coloured icon instead of the black and white one? (For example the blu icon for the Facebook app, the green icon for whatsapp...)

I have a Prestigio Multipad 3670B running Jelly Bean. The Facebook app is configured to play notification sound upon receiving message etc., but no sound ever plays. The notification appears in the status bar, though. I have tried to reasearch the problem, but search involving the keyword prestigio doesn't yield much and in the general case, the problem is mostly reverse, i.e. the notifications popping up when they shouldn't.

I jut picked up a Samsung Galaxy S3, and I am trying to change my notification sound for text messages. I put an MP3 file in the appropriate folder, and selected it in the settings menu on messaging. It keeps reverting back to the old default message notification sound.
How to get it to believe I want to use a different sound?

Galaxy S4 on 4.3 using stock email app for Exchange connectivity. (Verizon)
I receive about 100 new messages a day from our Exchange server. 1st email comes in for the day and I get a from and subject in the status bar. Messages after that show : (message count) new messages blah blah. By the end of the day it says I have 100 new messages. If I clear the notification, the next time I get a new email, it says 101 new emails. The "clear notifications" does not reset the count! It does for Gmail, which makes sense. The only thing that will reset the count is by going into the email program and then exiting back out. This is a bug, right? I realize I can "drag down" and get more detail on the messages, which is great, but I want the count to reset when I swipe the notification away.
I am writing an app for a smart watch and the problem lies where everything after the first message is not giving me the detailed information I need for my app. As a human using the phone, I can just launch the email app. No big deal. Can't do that from a watch when the phone is locked.

I've a couple of Android devices, and I'm looking for an application that will email me (once) when the battery is full, (or when the battery is almost dead).
I don't always stick around when it's charging, so having it just make a sound when it's full doesn't catch my attention. Being notified with an email before my device's battery dies, would catch it and recharge, before I have to do a long recharge session.
Email just works best for me. I've checked around, and it doesn't seem that an app like this is out there. Having a notification via prowl/growl could work too, but less so than email.

So I just downloaded Android 4.3 for my GS4 and since then whenever I turn on wi-fi I get a notification saying an unauthorized app is trying to access the system. It is preventing me from using wi-fi at all and is really costing me in data usage. What do I do?

I have a Galaxy S2, more specifically the T-Mobile T989 model, which is known in my country as the Galaxy S2 Plus. It has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean installed and I wonder if I can change the quick settings? I want to add a quick setting to activate/deactivate mobile data since it doesn't appear, but it does in other Galaxy phones with the same Android version.

I like the notifications of my emails, but not the fact that it shows the email body and subject. Is there a way to only show that there is a new email but not what or who? I have an app locking gmail to keep emails secure but people can still read them from notification tab.

I just bought an Alcatel One Touch Pop C1 with Android 4.2. The internal memory has the folders /Music, /Ringtones, /Notifications and /media/audio/notifications (among others). My files are all fine oggs with a title tag at the very least.
Copying my oggs into /Music makes them show in the standard music app and they play fine. Immediately after copying them into /Ringtones, they all show up under ringtones and I can set any of them as my ringtone. However, none of it works for notification sounds. The notification sound picker has no Add button (the ringtone picker does) and the picker doesn't list anything except the default sounds (the ringtones picker shows every ogg there is). The option in the Messaging app shows the same unuseful picker. Rebooting doesn't work, having the files in any combination of the folders doesn't work.
In addition, the standard Contacts app doesn't seem to have a way to set a custom notification sound per contact (again, it does for ringtones). I'd like not only calls but also texts from certain contacts to have a custom sound.

i got the nexus 4. I dont know why everytime i update or install an app and when completed, i got a popup in front bottom that says internal storagespace left: 2gb, 3gb..
its so annoying while updating apps in the background and this kees popping up while an app is done with the update.

My phone updated last night and afterwards I've been experiencing problems. I had 6 apps in the bottom bar including the apps button and I was forced to remove one so the others would fit. My main concern is that my mobile data on off switch in the notification bar is no longer there.

I am using our country local brand walton primo gh2 phone. In notification area i see "Downloading English (US) ", under it download paused. First three or four time i tapped and hold and its took me to Language and input option and shows me that update and every time it stacked on 64%. after that when i again i tapped and hold it shows just app info nothing else and i cant remove it from my notification area. Its very annoying to see and some file goes to queue under it too download never start and i have to restart downloads. I am using android 4.2.2.

Best way I could describe it. On ICS the dialer would allow me to type a number and come back to it later, now when I multi-task the number disappears. I am running 4.1.2 on a HTC Desire 300, and the dialer is stock to the best of my knowledge.

The jellybean box itself turns on and the home screen loads up. I select the page where all the apps are...select xbmc app...sometimes it flicks back to main apps page other times the screen turns black/blank. I can't get further than this page....my box has worked perfectly for the past 3 months since purchasing. I can't get into the settings page as I can't get past the blank .
