I have an ICS phone, the problem is on the lock screen I can't pull the status bar down in any type of lock screen (slide, pattern, PIN, etc). My question is how do I enable status bar dragging on lock screen? I know how to compile or decompile APK files, but I dont know what should I change to enable this.

ive tried it all Go launcher ex, launcher,pro ect but they only seem to be able get rid of the status bar in the home-screen and not the lock screen.
is are there any apps for ics that would get rid of the status bar on the lock-screen ?
I have a live wall paper that only need to work if the screen is unlock (i.e. full display is on), otherwise, it should be just blank.
View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since the upgrade to froyo I have been having nothin but problems out of my touchscreen. My status bar in portrait mode doesn't drag properly, anything in the top area never responds with touch, none of my keyboards function properly they work at times but some letters can't be pressed, the lockscreen takes 4 or 5 tries to get it to unlock, things press and move without me touching anything. There are more things but this is so hard to type on my phone.

I am Orange in the UK and have also had the new shared settings for using the phone on the T-Mobile Network. Earlier I received some text messages and a missed call but was unable to drag the status bar down to check who they were from. I switched off phone and re-started but have found that the "Activating Phone" icon kicks in before I can complete my Sim lock number and press ok. The phone just wants to stay in the "Activating Phone" mode but doesn't start up properly. If I enter the pin correctly and press ok Very quickly I can start the phone ok.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a galaxy s3 mini running cm11. It does not support exposure lock ( isAutoExposureLockSupported returns false). Is there any way to enable exposure lock and also white balance lock as it seems to be a software limitation. I have searched around and cannot find where the file that contains these parameters about exposure, focus, white balance, etc. Could I change the isAutoExposureLockSupported=true to achieve exposure lock. The camera also seems to not support many focus modes which have been common to all lower end phones I have owned, and also exposure lock was supported on these too.

If someone steals my phone they will be able to shut it off without unlocking it since holding down power button still works. So is there a way to lock the power button from shutting off phone when the phone is in pattern unlock mode?

View 7 Replies View RelatedA Tasker task that when I'm on the lockscreen, I can tap or double tap to turn the screen off. I've looked in the Tasker tasks and I'm unable to find anything for this. I already use the Nova gesture+ScreenOff app to turn the screen off when I'm unlocked and at the homescreen, which works perfectly. The only thing Nova can't do it turn the screen off from the lockscreen.

It doesn't do that if i plug,it,in a computer usb, it doesn't,do that and charges normally. Is that a wide spread issue.

I'm going to deploy 30 android tablets to a classroom in the College where I work, and since I love android, i'd rather not see this little experiment fail. Through a combination of "App Lock" and a widely distributed MDM, I have been able to accomplish most of my requirements, however i'd still like to be able to lock down the home screen, in particular, remove the ability for users to change the wallpaper (I have a nightmare that this feature would be abused from day one!).
I have looked at using different launchers (tried Apex and Smart Launcher) which nicely lock down the home screen, but they still allow users to change the launcher preferences which makes that approach a bit pointless.
my lock screen has a line of gibberish on it. At the top is the date/time an volume control, then a line across the screen as normal. Below the line to the left is like a status area, it normaly says nothing, or says Charging %% (if plugged in) or connect charger (if low battery). but for some reason this week if it is not low battery or charging, it has a line of jibberish that goes almost the whole way across the scree. is ~~~~~~+~~~~~aaqa~~a~~+~ What does this mean & how do I get it off my screen. It doesn't seem to effect the phone functioning. & as soon as I unlock the screen it goes away. So more of an annoyance then anything, but I want my phone to be working perfectly.

I recently broke my screen and cannot get past the lock screen so I can start my VNC server (to continue using my phone without the screen). I have searched through what seems to be all posts on bypassing pattern lock and I have not been able to succeed yet due to permission denial for super user in ADB, not having sqlite3 on my phone, and not being able to flash anything onto it in recovery mode.
how to bypass the lock screen without any use of the touchscreen? I have debugging mode on, and I have a access to view what is on the screen via hdmi cable or remote viewer.
I've got the screenlock password on my Galaxy Note. It's in English layout (it was originally entered in Swipe keyboard). Then I've changed the Settings to Samsung keyboard and French layout (same latin letters) and switched off the screen. Now my pass is not working as I cannot change layout to English (the settings button on keyboard is grey). So would you recommend any solution as I don't want to wipe all the data. Is it possible to change layout to original English or reset password somehow?
