On my laptop I have avg internet security, malwarebytes, SAS to fight the battle of viruses, malware, spyware but I need a good adblocker. Im not tech savvy, frankly, I'm sooo afraid that I'll crash my laptop with one of my visit to a unsafe site, that it prevents me from truly enjoying the net. One of the really cool things about Inc is that it includes web browser support video streaming. The flip side is that if you use this on sites where it's offered, you will likely get annoying ad popups! Why is it then that neither the Marketplace nor Appbrain offers any software to control this? I realize that Firefox software tweaks, which control everything from popup ads to cookies, script control, and much more, are called addons but with Android the browser would be Google Chrome. Is this the problem, or can I get controls like this in Google-world too, specifically for Android?
Suppose I changed the default browser to Firefox, would I be able to use most of it's addons (I already know most of them work in Linux for PCs, but Android hasn't quite impressed me so far with much PC-like tweakability). How would I go about doing this, anyway?

I've recently switched from an iPhone to a Samsung Galaxy 4. While there are a few issues in adjusting, one major annoyance I am finding is something called 'Google Now' popping up wanting setup. Frankly I'm sick of this doing so and want it to go away, but I don't know how. I've disabled Google notifications and push, but it still keeps coming up - it just seems random with no pattern as to what I am using or doing. I can't delete it because it's not in Apps. There seems to be nothing about how to get rid of it on the 'net unless it's installed - which it's not.
I throw this phone into a wall. I'm loving 90% of it, except for all the maddening and idiotic notifications, prompts, and insistence to install useless rubbish I don't want... such as Google Now.

Every app restored requires a "Do you want to install this application?" prompt which requires me to click "Next" one or more times, then "Install" before it'll restore that app. This becomes tedious. Back on 4.1 it would just do all my apps without my intervention. I have unticked Settings>Security>Verify apps.

The screen dims even when it is plugged into the charger. Gets annoying when I have it mounted as an MP3 player in the car for example, or even if I'm just using it in bright light.
The maximum screen dim level setting is too dark to see.

Any way of completely disabling the physical volume up/volume down buttons (specifically on an SG Mega 6.3)? I never, ever use them, other than to put the volume backup having accidentally depressed volume down! If there's any kind of app or tweak that will disable them that would be great. I don't mind it suggesting words and then me selecting them but it drives me nuts when I type a word and hit space and it automatically changes the words.
