View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been using various ROMs (including various Xposed modules) in the past and most of them allow me to auto-hide the status bar.But whenever I swipe down from the top and the statusbar is displayed, it resizes the entire content on my phone.
What I was looking for is a statusbar that will show up above the content, like the immersive mode in KitKat but for JB so it doesn't resize my content but overlap it.
I know there are some apps that give you this kind of auto-hide status bar but it will only work in fullscreen apps, so I tried to make everything on my phone full screen (using expanded desktop) but it doesn't seem to work...
I have the Minix neo X5 tv box and i wish to hide the status bar.completely..i dont want it.
i have plugged a keyboard+remote to control everything i need.but i dont seem to succeed hiding it..
After hiding it, mapping its functions to some Fn buttons on my keyboard would be a nice extra.
Is there a way to hide permanent notification icons in the staus bar, like the Juice Defender Icon, Lux, App Clip, and etc? These take up room for the regular notification.

In Portrait mode: normal size keyboard in Landscape mode: big size keyboard, should use about 70 -80 % of the screen.
Currently I am using Hackers Keyboard, 4 Row, 70% size. There are 2 lines left to see, when typing.
Is there a way or an app so the android status bar (clock, battery, etc) is hidden when turning the phone from Portrait to Landscape so the whole screen can be used for typing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI finally uninstalled Home ++, as bad as it killed me to do it, I couldn't tolerate the force closes and bog down any longer. My Droid is screaming fast now, but I plan on reinstalling Home++ when the issues get worked out. One of the things I liked was the way it hid the status bar. Is there any other app or option out there to hide the status on the stock home?

No, that is not what I am after, nor is that what this post is about. This is a question for theme developers... Is there anyone out there that knows how to hide the statusbar clock in FroYo? I've been poking around for the past two days trying to figure this one out on my own, but it's not going as smoothly as I would like it to be.
Most of what I've been reading points to the Services.jar file. (Specifically comandroidserverstatusStatusBarIcon.smali)... but any of the threads I've found mention changing the border. I can't find anything in the StatusBarIcon.smali file that indicates border spacing at all. Am I even on the right track here, or am I looking in completely the wrong place?

I would like to hide or remove unwanted icons from the left side of the notification/status bar. I realize most programs give you this option, but some don't (such as the latest version of Norton security program). It just sits up there and hogs up real estate. Commands are about to boost up the reading speed of SDcard, type like

Actually I modified these files with RecoveryFileManager at first but I found that was failed after I reboot the device, so I just type these commands into the init.d, but after that, I just find my status bar and notification bar was lost and disappeared, not only home screen but also all around the surface in the system.

I'm using the Desire, and I've just discovered Swype, which I love.Except for ONE little thing.How the hell do ya get the keyboard to disappear so you can hit the 'send' or 'save' button which is lurking below it?With the default keyboard, you have a button dedicated to hiding the keyboard, but Swype doesn't appear to have one of those.

But even I unselect the "SIM" in the People application's view option, the Phone dialer's list (left) still has both SIM contacts and google contacts, they are double. Earlier on today, I ran ?Unrevoked3" on Linux, which "rooted" my phone. It added an extra option called "Superuser Permissions", but the O2 branding when phone is turned on remains, and the numbers above stayed the same. Now I tried to load a new ROM, but they all bring up the errors below. I have tried loads of different ones. I have plenty of free space on my SD card and have renamed some to update.zip, but still no luck. One seemed like it went through, but straight after an animation of a cross played on the screen, with different colours, and this wouldn't go away even after a restart............
How or where can I see battery status in percentages (%)? Can you tell me witch widgets is best for this, if I can't see this by default?

Is this a phone issue or should I contact O2?It used to work, and then I called O2 to disable the auto USSD balance notification after every text. View 2 Replies View RelatedI was panicking a little yesterday as I thought I would miss the delivery of my new Desire. This was not the case at 5:30pm it arrived and it truly is an amazing phone. It took me around 4 hours to totally kill the battery from new (when you get the battery it only has a little charge in it) so this I was really pleased about, this was with WiFi on constantly and using it nonstop on twitter, flicker, taking photos, android market, internet browsing and basically just finding my ways around the menus as i've been out of the game for a while. I really think that the worries I was having about not liking it and reverting back to my iPhone are blown out of the window, this device really has blown me away and the integrated twitter app Peep is also very good, although I am now using tweetcasterPRO. It had a full charge last night so I am going to hammer the phone today to see how quickly I can get the battery to go flat so I have a rough idea if one charge will last me through the day.

I can click on the box, get the green selection graphic, but no cursor or keyboard to actually put anything in.
