I have a Galaxy s4 that's stock 4.3 ROM but rooted and CWM. When I go into Network Mode (4g 3g or 2g) I only have WCDMA/GSM, WCDMA only and GSM only. How can I add the 4G LTE option to this menu? Do I need to flash another modem or what? I'd like to keep my current ROM in case I sell my phone and to avoid issues.

I am running a CDMa Sense 4.0 rom which has missing options inside the Mobile Network Settings and was wondering which is the file /apk which you have to change from a different sense 4.0 file?
Basically, which file edits the Mobile Network Settings options inside the Settings app? I tried using a different System.apk file with no luck. the options i need are still missing.
I have two galaxy s3's and on one of them the screen lock gives me options to change it to how long i want it to wait until my screen locks and asks for a pin number.
However on the other one it is automatically set to immediately, how can i change this to 4 mins for example, it doesnt give me the options? It locks straight away and its annoying to have to put the pin in every time i pick up the phone as i am on it alot. Is there different versions of this S3?
I have a samsung galaxy music duos . It had come with 4.0.4 - in network mode there were 3 options - GSM ONLY.CDMA ONLY & AUTO MODE.Now after updating to jelly bean it has got changed to At some places where 3g is available it still uses 2g and sometimes keeps switching between 2g and 3g . Is there something i can do to use 3G ONLY ie, CDMA ONLY network? Can apps like tasker do the job?

Is there any mode or anything, that makes my phone go into some mode, that only enables internet/data sharing and such.. Like a modem, to save battery and also, that the actual phone dont use so much data.
I'm running a Galaxy Nexus, and the ROM I'm currently on has a performance option in the Settings Menu, which gives control of the kernel and stuff. However, I'd rather use TricksterMod, and I would like to be able to launch TricksterMod from Settings instead of the Performance app.
So far, I've decompiled my Settings.apk, and looked through the files, and I'm not sure what to change.
I have to change settings esxmlsettings_headers.xml, correct? Specifically,

The big question is, what do I replace with for "com.android.settings.performance.PerformanceSetti ngs"? Do I need to move TricksterMod somewhere specific, or what would I reference? dataappcom.bigeyes0x0.trickstermod-1.apk?
After making all these changes, I'd simply recompile and push the Settings.apk back without signing, correct? Have I missed any steps?
I've got a Samsung Stratosphere (I know booo) My phone rebooted and now it has the hardware info on the left hand side of the screen. I've posted a picture. It wont go on the mobile network at call (cant make calls).
I did a factory restore, unrooted and put the stock rom on, nothing works.
Can someone explain what the recovery mode is in the boot options of the desire?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI updated my phone earlier today to jelly bean 4.3. Since then, I have stopped receiving network. The EMEI number doesn't show in the device info either. Tried restarting, taking out the sim card and putting it back in. Nothing works. It says this right after restarting, "currently unable to download, try again later". I bought my phone from Qatar and I am currently using it in UK (t-mobile) if that makes any difference, but it was working perfectly fine before.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a galaxy s4 mini and since this morning it won't connect to the network (I am with three - they have checked there are not signal problems in my area) AND I can't connect to my wireless (definitely working as I am using my iPad to write this.
So when I go to switch the wireless on, on the phone, it flicks itself back off again and doesn't even go green like it normally does.
I don't know if either of the following two things would have affected this or not:
1) my phone downloaded some Samsung update yesterday (via 3G, don't know if it completed though). Phone says its using android version 4.2.2 - is that relevant?
2) got my phone on to the wireless system lat night (because of MAC address filtering) but it was working fine last night.
Anyway I have tried all the standard things - switching my phone on and off, taking the SIM card out etc but still no network and no wireless.
I had flash my Galaxy Gio. Should I upgrade to firmware Gingerbread 2.3.4 Galaxy Gio but I installed the firmware Gingerbread 2.3.4 ODIN galaxy ace. Whereas existing binary error warning, but I immediately start. I try to flash again with the firmware Gio, but the problem did not get to downloading mode (already pressed the volume down + power + home). Which appear the words "Emergency Dload Mode (ARM 9)".

I have problem that the phone charges very slow like ~12% per hour with both the PC USB cable and the original wall charger.
I know that the phone supposed to charge very slow in USB mode however I've noticed that even when charging trough the wall charger the phone still charges in USB mode. (I can see it in the phone status menu)
My question is: Is there there really another charging mode (shown in phone status) when charging trough the wall charger?
I did factory reset and wiped data but the problem still exists.

Google Search says "Unusual traffic from your computer network" and WON'T SEARCH. This happens even if I try type in the search or use voice command.

Then I powered off the phone, waited 10 seconds and restarted. I let it reboot completely and then the 'update' notifications appeared on the Home screen. I updated each app carefully, and let it settle, then updated the next, until all were updated. Google 'Search' now works perfectly!!
I have a Galaxy S3 on the Bell Mobile network in Canada, and aside from the horrendous battery life, it's a pretty good phone. One thing I notice that's kinda annoying is the "Connected to Wi-Fi network [network name]" pop-up that comes up quite often. I've managed to snap a screenshot of it.
How to disable this? The only info I've found so far is on the Verizon pop-ups, and entering the *#6335623# code on the dial screen, but nothing comes up when I try that, and I'm not even sure that fix would work for this.
I have a S4 (SGH-I337M) with Android 4.2.2 installed on it, Not Rooted, Not unlock. My problem is with the WIFI and Network mobile serviec (GMS, 4G).
1. when i turn the wifi on, it gives me fail to obtain IP, and at the same the mobile service detected my Mobile Network (Rogers) for moment then it turns to No service for few moment to come back to Rogers an other time and so on( like infinity loop between Service detected and No service).
2. usually when i turn off the WIFI, the phone goes to look for 4G network but this doesn't happen now, and still Mobile Service between detected and Not.
3. What has been said until now is with SIM card On. and i tried to take it out the phone and turn the phone on, and the same problem is still with Mobile Network service but now the infinity look (as I like to call it) is between No service and Insert Sim card, at the same time can't access to the WIFI (Fail to obtain IP).
i have tried several thing to solve problem : like changing the SIM card, Reset phone to factory setting, turn it off for while and open it, but the problem still excite.
it seems that it is software problem but i don't know which process responsible of Network Service setting (WIFI, 4G, GSM) so i can stop it and lunch it again.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a T-Mobile Galaxy Vibrant that was running Android 2.1. I rooted the phone (successfully), and installed Slim Bean 4.2.2 plus Google apps. Everything was going smoothly and I was reinstalling apps and data when I noticed that I had no network phone connection. Slim Beam did not seem to recognize the sim, and I came up empty searching for networks. I removed the sim and put it in another phone, and everything was fine.
I decided to restore the previous android 2.1 (which I had backed up) using ClockWorkMod Recovery. I did restore, then reboot. Now the only thing I get is the initial screen ... Vibrant and Samsung in bold white letters. I have tried repeatedly to launch CWM Recovery, without success.
Today i founded a phone ( lucky ) BUT Phone not found any network its look like phone is turned on with no sim, but sim is entered and regonized, beacuse when i slide down bar there can see Network provider.
I rooted phone and flashed CM 7.2 RC 3+, but still no network.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time I put my S3 on the Samsung dock and it goes into dock mode, it shows the temp in my area of 47 degrees no matter if that's true or not. It says it pulls its data from AccuWeather, and when I check there the temp is correct. But no matter what is ALWAYS says 47 degrees when in dock mode.
Does there something I need to do for the correct temp to pass through?
