On my TF101 I have a couple different versions of CM10 in my downloads but I can't remember which one I flashed. Is there any way to tell besides the about tablet in system settings? All it tells me there is that it's CM10 and the kernel.

I've got an app that needs to handle Android versions 2.2.1 and above differently than 2.2. I'd rather not create two separate apps, but I haven't been able to find a way to identify what version of Android is running on the user's device.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using my phone (droid 3) and the app I was using force closed, my phone lagged for a few seconds and then I just put it down so it could catch up. While waiting the screen timed out and when I went to use it I could not unlock it. I can press the button on top and it will turn the screen on or off, and if I hold it it will bring up the power off menu. I tried to call it, and it went through. I got the normal screen to answer it, but I could not answer it. After I hung up I got the notification for a missed call. Everything seems to be working, my screen just does not respond to a touch. What should I do?

And what permissions are set for those files? I am using a Cowon Z2 which runs on Android 2.3.5, and it suddenly stops detecting hotspots. It just keeps scanning endlessly with no hotspots. My Nexus S can detect and connect still.
I tried a couple of things like, removing the data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf file to allow it to generate a new file, but it still fails.
know what are the files I should see to ensure that wifi works.

I know that the sim card is working because I tried it in a friend's Galaxy S 4G and it worked fine. Ever since I've upgraded to KitKat, some of my apps don't detect data on external micro SD card. Most noticeably quick office, the bards tale. As most of my files are stored on micro SD this is very annoying. I can access those files using es file explorer but it would be better if apps could detect them as well. My external SD card pathway should be mnt/media_rw/sdcard1 but that's empty and I get invalid file path error.
I can access the ext sd by storage/sdcard01 though. I've tried to format my ext SD, edit platform.xls etc but no solution. So any clue how to make quockoffice access documents on external micro sd?
I am new to android and I got myself a Micromax A110 running on android ics with 2 gb of internal SD card memory the internal memory just isn't enough for installing heavy games and storing and downloading large videos and music, so I added a 32 gb external micro SD card.. the card shows in my file manager and its contents are accessible, most apps like ttpod, ttorrent, vlc, chrome etc don't detect my external card. They only access the contents of my internal SD card, download to it.. I can't set the default directory to the external card...
When I installed nfs most wanted to my phone, it asked me to free up data in my SD card or insert another one as there was no space left due to obvious reasons of my internal SD card being filled with other apps.. I uninstalled and reinstalled it after setting the default storage location to the external storage... I found that the game installed in the internal storage this time and on startup, it gave the same message..
Is it a common problem or a limitation to the OS? Does my phone needs to be rooted for the purpose?
i try to dev an app like system contacts and it should read the information of sim card . in China , many android phone hold dual sim cards , while it seems that the current android os just supports the api to get only one sim card info.
How an app to get all the information of the dual sims ? i know some apps like Multi-Sim ,QQContact can do it ,but how can they do it ?

I have flashed from CM10.0, JB4.1.2 to pacman 3.00, JB4.2.2
ISSUES:
1. error mounting emmc and cannot detect external sd card
2. When i want to use camera or gallery, there is an error saying "No external storage available"
Attempted solutions:
I have tried the following but it does not solve my problem
1. re-flash the custom rom and gapps. (full wipe with wipe cache and dalvik cache)
2. reformatted my sd card to fat32.
3. went to recovery to unmount and remount my external sd card
4. tried to mount emmc in recovery but returns an error "error mounting emmc"
5. off and on and also rebooted my smartphone
6. tried these codes shown at the bottom(to manual remount)
- I have a storage folder which has sdcard0 which contains nothing, sdcard1 which contains my file in my external sd card and a usbdisk0 contains nothing also.
- Now i am not sure which is the cause of the problem where i cannot use my camera phone and gallery
I am using u8150 ideos, My Wi-fi or Wifi portable hotspot has just stopped working no matter how much i wipe data factory reset install stock rom or change any rom it doesnt work. First it used to give Error in between connection now it doesnt even get On. it says Error below Wi-Fi doesnt detect any network there is 1 mine and 2-3 in the area that it used to detect, i installed CM7 rom on my mob once and it had many bugs and a kernel too am sure its a kernel or some problem ..
I also deleted a wifi folder from root explorer thinking it will remake itself but delete or not the wifi doesnt work.
I am trying to create a broadcast receiver to detect when the screen was locked. I have it already working to detect when the the tablet was booted, but it won't work for the SCREEN_OFF action. Right now I just have it log any intents that where triggered and so far its only working for when the boot was completed.

Odin only detect my Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300 when the power is off.
In a meanwhile:
- Odin cannot detect in Download mode.
- KIES is able to connect, detect & do the backup.
- I've tried many versions of Odins.
- Odin(s) is able to detect other phone (Galaxy Mini S5570).
- PC could detect the driver and do the file transfer.
Why only when the power off id:com turns into yellow (or green in Odin 3) ????
I noticed that if i dont use the app to kill running apps after i exit them they are still running in the background is this normal for the Android? I am coming from Pre so not sure if they are killed when exited.

Currently, the user simply types into an EditText and clicks a search button. I'd like to take away the search button and implement something similar to Google's Instant Search where, as you type, the search results get updated.
This means, as the user types, the search parameters change. I want to be able to kill the currently running thread (if one is currently running) and spawn a new one with the new search string. How can this be achieved? Can I do it with Thread or will I need to use a new object?
