Air push can't detect any apps that are pushing advertisements to my phone but I'm continually receiving these annoying notifications. I tried using other apps but none of them seem to detect any malicious software on my phone .

Just bought my LiveView and tried to install plug-ins on it, but...The Liveview application does not detect them! It only detects the ones you can actually open on your phone (e.g. the sportypal watch, which you can open via the android market. Not the ones that only has the uninstall button in the market)...
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using u8150 ideos, My Wi-fi or Wifi portable hotspot has just stopped working no matter how much i wipe data factory reset install stock rom or change any rom it doesnt work. First it used to give Error in between connection now it doesnt even get On. it says Error below Wi-Fi doesnt detect any network there is 1 mine and 2-3 in the area that it used to detect, i installed CM7 rom on my mob once and it had many bugs and a kernel too am sure its a kernel or some problem ..
I also deleted a wifi folder from root explorer thinking it will remake itself but delete or not the wifi doesnt work.
I downloaded an app. Then started spamming everyone in my contacts. So I deleted it and people are still receiving text. What do i do about something like this. I deleted the app already and installed anti virus' but I'm not sure if it's still sending or not...

View 6 Replies View RelatedNot sure what's going on... HTC EVO 3D. Can grab apps from the market on the phone just fine, but when I go to the market on the PC it says it will install, but it just never happens.
Also have an AV app on the phone that I can control from the PC, but when I change settings on the PC it never happens on the phone.
It's like the phone has a firewall, blocking all things coming from outside.
Tried both of these on another family phone and they work fine, so I don't see how it could be the PC or the cell phone company.
The phone is not rooted and it is not sleeping when I try to push the app. It is only a few days old so has very little installed on it.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the AV app. I power cycled the phone.

Ever since I've upgraded to KitKat, some of my apps don't detect data on external micro SD card. Most noticeably quick office, the bards tale. As most of my files are stored on micro SD this is very annoying. I can access those files using es file explorer but it would be better if apps could detect them as well. My external SD card pathway should be mnt/media_rw/sdcard1 but that's empty and I get invalid file path error.
I can access the ext sd by storage/sdcard01 though. I've tried to format my ext SD, edit platform.xls etc but no solution. So any clue how to make quockoffice access documents on external micro sd?
I am new to android and I got myself a Micromax A110 running on android ics with 2 gb of internal SD card memory the internal memory just isn't enough for installing heavy games and storing and downloading large videos and music, so I added a 32 gb external micro SD card.. the card shows in my file manager and its contents are accessible, most apps like ttpod, ttorrent, vlc, chrome etc don't detect my external card. They only access the contents of my internal SD card, download to it.. I can't set the default directory to the external card...
When I installed nfs most wanted to my phone, it asked me to free up data in my SD card or insert another one as there was no space left due to obvious reasons of my internal SD card being filled with other apps.. I uninstalled and reinstalled it after setting the default storage location to the external storage... I found that the game installed in the internal storage this time and on startup, it gave the same message..
Is it a common problem or a limitation to the OS? Does my phone needs to be rooted for the purpose?
Connected the evo4g today and the xbox doesn't seem to detect it. Am I doing something wrong?

I just got my Droid Eris on Friday so I'm still trying to figure this thing out.
-Is there any way to set Gmail so that it doesn't push as often? I use that as my primary email account so it seems like my phone is constantly notifying me. I want the option to check Gmail without having to worry about my battery dying b/c of constant notifications.
-I've been looking around and I noticed some of you have Twitter as a full screen widget. How can I add that? I've tried peep and tweetcaster but I don't really like either of them.
-This may sound like a dumb question, but what's the best/easy way to make outgoing calls? I find it to be a PITA to find my contacts when trying to make a call.

Why doesn't the Play Store download multiple apps at once? The Amazon AppStore has no issue downloading multiple apps at once.
I read on an xda post that I should have no problem after ICS downloading multiple apps at the same time, but I have found that untrue. I'm talking about multiple devices. OG Atrix, One X, S2, S3, S4, Note 2, Nexus 7. Using stock software, CM or other ROMs; Google Play will only download one app at a time which makes changing to a new phone incredibly time consuming.
Was that xda post correct or can no one download multiple apps at a time from the Play Store?
I've got a problem with my play store. I have Samsung galaxy S3 and the problem is that my play store doesn't show me most of apps, I can't even find angry birds. It doesn't show me apps to buy for money. Nothing. Also there are apps which I can't download because it says 'This item is not available in your country'
I used my friend's email to log into play store and the problem's gone. Everything work fine. I created a new email account but it still doesn't work I can only fully use play store using his email.
I use latest Nova launcher (Premium) and CM11 (nightly). But the same happened with CM10 stable and nightlies.
When I install new app - shortcut doesn't appear on my homescreen. I remember long time ago (I think that was in ICS stock launcher) - shortcuts would appear. But not anymore.
Automatically add widgets checkbox is checked in the Play Store Settings.
I even reinstalled fully Nova. No success.
I'm on a rooted v2.3.4 phone.
The stock battery usage graph screen doesn't show any apps, only core Android elements like Phone Idle, WiFi, Display, etc.
It's not because apps didn't use enough CPU time.
As of now, you have to go to settings->applications->manage applications and open up every app individually just to even SEE if its enabled as an option.

I've looked around and found out it was possible to achieve it with usage off the SOAP protocol. But are there some better ways top implement push? The main concern in this project is the phones battery life, all off it has to happpen over WiFi, pushed content has to be viewable on the device immediately.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy htc hero can't seem to keep apps running in the background, save for a few, such as the engadget app. when I press home from the internet browser or the PDF viewer and try to get back into the application, the internet browser will resend info to get the page I was on back and the PDF viewer will restart just like the browser and end up in a PDF file I wasn't in before. It seems that the applications restart themselves when I get out of them. Also, I just downloaded the 2.1 update for TELUS, so I'm not sure if thats to blame.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a strange problem with Push email on my HTC Desire. I can set this up no problem - email comes in but only manually. I cannot get the push to actually work. When I go into the send receive schedule I can set up the days/hours for peak off peak and push but regardless of what I set these to be, when I go back to the previous screen it always says the Schedule is Manual. I've tried setting up lots of variations from manual through timed to push but still the same. Net result is push never seems to happen - manual overrides my schedule. To pick up email I have to go into email and do a manual sync.
