Today my phone (Galaxy S Blaze) randomly could not detect my sim card. I checked it to see if it had moved out of place and I restarted the phone but to no fix. I know that the sim card is working because I tried it in a friend's Galaxy S 4G and it worked fine. I tried to hold the sim against the contacts to see if it wasn't making contact but it still didn't work.

I have the samsung galaxy s blaze 4G phone. My friend has an iphone and she has the facetime feature on her iphone which allows her to make video calls. My phone is an android as you know. If she calls me through the facetime feature on her iphone is there a way for me to connect to her video call so that we can both see each other on video? Do I need to download an app(maybe an app made by apple that is made to run on android phones) to enable my phone to have the capability of accepting facetime calls made from her iphone? Or should we just forget about the facetime nonsense and just use something like skype or another similar app that will run on both the iphone and android devices? But she does not want to go to the trouble of singing up to something in order to use an app.
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo recently I have started to have a problem with my Wi-Fi Connection on my Samsung Galaxy Blaze 4G , So I would be on the Wi-Fi fine then each time i click on a video it asks for "Complete action using" then my Wi-Fi instantly stops and the Wi-Fi icon isn't there anymore . After i clicked one of the option on complete action using, couple seconds later my internet comes back.
So problem is that each time i try to watch a video my Wi-Fi Stops when on Web. But then I can watch videos through the Youtube application.
Also Another weird thing is that after the Wi-Fi reconnects My "Use packet data" setting is auto enabled again.
My galaxy Blaze screen glitches and is not usable wen itz charging.

My Galaxy S2 (Android 4.1.2, phone not rooted) has started turning itself off, even when plugged in and fully charged. To restart the phone I first have to remove and reinsert the battery.
This has happened to me with several batteries, one aftermarket and one new supposedly OEM (with hologram "ORIGINAL" sticker and s/n).
My screen will go blank, like it went to sleep but what actually happened was it just simply shut off! I installed two logcat applications, but I don't know jack about reading logs I want to know what causes these shutdowns The latest ones happened between 6:32-6:33AM and 6:54-6:55AM (it's 7:26AM now, my time).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got the phone from 3 UK on a contract in July, so phone's pretty new and not rooted or anything.
Yesterday the phone started turning itself off at random times quite a lot.
Battery could have been over 60%, at 30%, it was never with the same charge that it would happen, also never when doing the same thing on the phone.
Usually when it's about to turn itself off, I lose signal completely, then the screen just goes black.
When I try to turn it back on, it usually dies again at the 3 logo or even at the Samsung one and I have to try and turn it back on again. Sometimes I had to pull the battery out and connect it to the charger to make it boot up ok.
After a couple of times it did that, it started going into a bootloop when attempting to turn it back on again after the random shutdown. Phone wasn't hot either.
It had happened a few days before but just once not this many times in one single day.
I removed the microSD card, since it makes the phone think the device has been modified and won't let me update, but the microSD works fine in my old Samsung smartphone and even with that removed, phone still turned itself off and then went into a bootloop.
I think it might be the battery. Last time I was using the phone unplugged yesterday night, the battery went down to 33% charge in less than an hour and phone turned itself off. After managing to make it boot up again and connecting it to the charger, it was saying 60% charge. I doubt it could have gone up to 60% being plugged in just for a minute or so.
So, I can certainly take it back to the store and have them fix it or buy a new battery and see if it solves the problem.
Is it likely to be the battery that's malfunctioning?
Lots of people on the Internet seem to have this problem and a few mention a swollen battery. They replaced the battery and phone was fine after. Mine seems ok, but I can't be sure.
I don't understand why I seem to lose signal completely just before it switches itself off... it doesn't do it all the times, but a lot of the times yes.
I have other phones on 3 and they didn't lose signal completely and anyway in my house coverage has always been excellent.
I forgot to mention that once, while trying to restart the phone, I got this message, more or less: "Installing custom OS can damage your system or applications. Choose volume up to continue...". My phone's not rooted and I haven't installed any custom ROM!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am new to android and I got myself a Micromax A110 running on android ics with 2 gb of internal SD card memory the internal memory just isn't enough for installing heavy games and storing and downloading large videos and music, so I added a 32 gb external micro SD card.. the card shows in my file manager and its contents are accessible, most apps like ttpod, ttorrent, vlc, chrome etc don't detect my external card. They only access the contents of my internal SD card, download to it.. I can't set the default directory to the external card...
When I installed nfs most wanted to my phone, it asked me to free up data in my SD card or insert another one as there was no space left due to obvious reasons of my internal SD card being filled with other apps.. I uninstalled and reinstalled it after setting the default storage location to the external storage... I found that the game installed in the internal storage this time and on startup, it gave the same message..
Is it a common problem or a limitation to the OS? Does my phone needs to be rooted for the purpose?
I'm using the Samsung's default music playing app on my Sprint Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 and I have motion turned off and music auto off turned off and for some reason while playing music through my headphones or just the phone speaker the music randomly pauses after a few minutes I turned that stuff on and off again to make sure and it still does it and I can have my phone in any position and it will do it
How do I fix it so it stops randomly pausing during song
I went to send a text message today, and all of my conversations had been cleared. This has happened once before about a year ago and I eventually gave up trying to restore my messages. How to prevent it? I'm thinking the message database is somehow getting corrupted which is why it's clearing out all of my conversations?
I'm running 2.3.3 - my phone was rooted at some point but I'm guessing after an OS update I lost that capability. This happened before the OS update and now after.
Has rooted a Samsung Blaze yet? Just got one and I'd at least like to get all of this bloatware of the darn thing. If you did what process did you use?

I have flashed from CM10.0, JB4.1.2 to pacman 3.00, JB4.2.2
ISSUES:
1. error mounting emmc and cannot detect external sd card
2. When i want to use camera or gallery, there is an error saying "No external storage available"
Attempted solutions:
I have tried the following but it does not solve my problem
1. re-flash the custom rom and gapps. (full wipe with wipe cache and dalvik cache)
2. reformatted my sd card to fat32.
3. went to recovery to unmount and remount my external sd card
4. tried to mount emmc in recovery but returns an error "error mounting emmc"
5. off and on and also rebooted my smartphone
6. tried these codes shown at the bottom(to manual remount)
- I have a storage folder which has sdcard0 which contains nothing, sdcard1 which contains my file in my external sd card and a usbdisk0 contains nothing also.
- Now i am not sure which is the cause of the problem where i cannot use my camera phone and gallery
Can I somehow change color of texts in context menus? It has white color and the background is white too, so I can't see the text.
I'm using this ROM on my Xperia X10 Mini Pro.

Odin only detect my Samsung Galaxy Pocket S5300 when the power is off.
In a meanwhile:
- Odin cannot detect in Download mode.
- KIES is able to connect, detect & do the backup.
- I've tried many versions of Odins.
- Odin(s) is able to detect other phone (Galaxy Mini S5570).
- PC could detect the driver and do the file transfer.
Why only when the power off id:com turns into yellow (or green in Odin 3) ????

Has anyone else had their SD card just randomly unmount? The first time I thought it must have been random but it happened again to me today. I was just changing screens and I came to my photo album widget and then the little triangle with the exclamation point popped up and said I should unmount my SD card before I remove it.
So i popped off my case and then the back cover to see that my SD card was firmly inside the phone. I took it out and put it back in and my phone reboot itself.
Anyone else getting this random issue?
I have ported android successfully on imx31 pdk board, when I go in android menu in music , it is not able to detect SD card placed in board, significantly I haven't seen any device like "/dev/mmcxxx" in /dev under android shell , if there are pointers to this issue it would be a great help for me.

Tried with both 4g and wifi. I am using a Galaxy s3 on Verizon, jelly bean 4.3. The only thing I noticed is that Clash of Clans updated this morning but I was able to get on and download the update and then get back on play store but like not long after that it won't open.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI used Notpod to transfer music into my Galaxy S2 in the SD Card file but after I disconnected there was a notification saying "Media Scanner Running" And after it finished scanning it gave me a notification that the SD Card have been damaged, try reformatting. I formatted the SD card and proceed to redo the whole thing again only to get the same messaged. I've restarted my phone, I've took the SD card out and put it back in but nothing seems to work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've got a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 since 4 months. From the start it has had several issues with the micro sd card.
The first problem came out of nowhere, from one moment to another the sd card had became unreadable, not even my laptop would recognize is. It was working just fine before.
So i bought a new card, this was working fine for a while, but all of a sudden my Gallery wouldn't show anything on it from after a certain date. (The files, like photo's are there and readable with laptop or Quickpic gallery.)
Today came the latest and most severe problem, my telephone stopped working. it became very slow, going back to the 'main screen'/locking itself/ just black screen at random. When i took out the sd card it worked fine, i put i back in.. and the problems start again after a few minutes. i've taken it out again and the phone's been working fine for a couple of hours now.

I had a 2 gig sd card and put an 8 gig into it and formated it using the android OS and it says I have 7.4 gigs but all of my external PC device managers like ******** say I only have 1.7 gigs and it won't let me put more then 1.7 gigs onto it.
It's a Samsung Galaxy W and on the phone under sd card it says I have 7.4 gigs and in windows explorer it says I have 7.4 gigs. but the phone says I only have 1.7 gigs of usb storage, and when I upload mp3's it uses up that 1.7 gigs.
have managed to root my phone successfully and do the resurrection install but my problem is everytime i try to download an mp3 app it tells me it cant access USB storage or SD card and wont install it i've tried with USB debugging on and off but doesnt work.

I'm on Android 4.3 Galaxy Note 3 (ATT) and suddenly I started to see one or two recently installed apps turn into grey icons that say SD on them. I removed my SD card and then suddenly I noticed all~ of my recently installed apps turn into grey icons and when I tap on them - it goes to the google play store and says the apps have not been installed. Upon reinserting the card, the apps return.
What gives? I don't want this and it just started happening out of nowhere.
