The widgets on my Cube U9GT 2 tablet running on Android 4.0.3 / Ice Cream Sandwich are huge. Please check out the attached screenshots.
I am using the default ICS launcher. I could not resize them by tapping and holding - there would not be any widget resize handles. I would like to "hack" the config files to shrink these widgets to a more sensible size.

Is the Cube U9GT-2 compatible with CyanogenMod?
I've got Gingerbread on my tablet, but I'm not really satisfied with this OS, maybe because it's developed for smartphones and not tablets.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy "internal" memory is almost filled up and i am trying to find a way to move apps such as games to "external" memory. Some apps i have tried failed because all they did was direct link to the "move to sd" option in settings which is obviously not available on my tablet.
I have rooted the device, i have titanium backup (which failed as well in moving them). It came with the 4.2.2 android.

I recently installed it and there as few problems I can't seem to solve:
1. There is no option to resize widgets. It is supposed to support it, but there is just no way. Whether in Free mode or not. How to do it?
2. In the app drawer, many apps are displayed twice, some apps don't appear at all, and there are some apps that I don't even have installed...
I want to resize power widgets in cm 11 they are very small. I've tried to change the dip in systemui.apk(power_widgets.XML) but no luck

The default rom is so clunky and slow, kinda makes the tablet useless.
What is the best approach when using default Android drawables? Should I use android.R.drawable or should I copy the drawables in my project and use R.drawable?
Is there any risk, that in a newer version of Android, some of the default drawables are removed or resized? Or, affect in some negative way, the look of my app? Also, which of the drawables in the Android source code are considered "stable" and should be relied on?
I'd rather not copy the drawables because I think that the look of the app should be consistent with the Android version used. So, for example, for version 1.6 it should use the default Android bitmaps for version 1.6.
I have purchased iball slide 3G 7271 ( 3G model ) (Android version 4.0.4) in India. Available Interneal SD memory 2GB.I have external micro SD card slot expandable upto 32GB.

I have installed also. It was successful.when I open FolderMount, it says......""serching for root "" ( with one EXIT button to cancel)....and doing nothing beyond that.

i wanted to start android development on a real, but not too expensive device. URL....The manufactorer is CUBE:URL>....It works fine and i wanted to connect it to my PC, running windows 7.The problem is: I could not find any usb driver on the (chinese) manufactorer site.
In the device manager the device was listed as "K8GT_W" and marked with "no driver installed".if there is a driver for this device or how to use some "generic" usb device driver with this device?
I downloaded the google USB driver with the android SDK manager.The i selected "update driver" from the device maanger + selected the google usb driver download directory.This shows the message "K8GT_W could not be installed".
Where can I find default styles for my widgets? Let me give you an example. In the Contacts application, when adding a new contact, at the very bottom there are two buttons that have a particular background. However, what I am searching for is not a ButtonBar, but similar, so I tried searching for this ButtonBar in the documentation, hoping to find other similar styles I could use. I'm not sure if they're full apps or just simply icons to download apps or get more information. I have tried to avoid using them. I know previously I had a couple apps that were sending notifications to the notification system that I considered to be spam. After some research I found out how you can find out which apps are doing it and disable notifications from those apps so that took care of that.

When I re-installed it, it appears that the flip clock now defaults to a transparent backing with white lettering. Is there any way to get it back to plain white with black lettering? I haven't installed any extras...just the default. Attached is a screen cap of what the flip clock looks like now. I want to get it back to the traditional HTC style flip clock look. Any ideas?

I hate sending 2-3MB emails.
It is one of the few things iOS has going for it IMO.
I like taking High Res pics, but I shouldn't have to resize the master pic before sending... It is too many steps.

I installed a few CM7 Themes and tried them. Now all my buttons are about half the size. Is there a way to get the original size back?

I like having big icons on my phone but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do that. It seems the only launcher that will let me resize the icons is Go Launcher but I find it to be bulky and cumbersome is there any other launcher out there that will let me resize or even an app which will do it for me? I need more room (it's only 512MB) to install apps.
Well, the APP disk space (nand partition) is very small and the internal "sdcard" too big.
When I install a few applications the space runs out and the system becomes unstable.
I need to increase the nand and decrease internal sdcard to gain more room to my apps...
Well, I started the process by using the tools:
1) To unpack/repack: imgRePacker_204
2) The image ROM: sun7i_android_sugar-cubieboard2-8192cu.img (Android 4.2.2)
3) To burn to flash: PhoenixSuit1.0.6
unpacking the ROM creates a folder named sun7i_android_sugar-cubieboard2-8192cu.img.dump
So, somewhere in internet I see to change the sys_partition.fex file, and search the system nand partition:

so, I change 1048576 to 2097152 (2097152 * 1024 = 2GB)
but :
1) In installed android, the system has only 512MB and not 1GB as show.
2) By increasing this value, nothing happens when I repack back to IMG and flash to the nand.
(all unpak, change, pack, flash process is fine ! )
