I installed a few CM7 Themes and tried them. Now all my buttons are about half the size. Is there a way to get the original size back?
Is there a way to resize the buttons in every theme, without buttons changed back on reboot?

I need to create fixed size sqare buttons with relatively large characters on them for a calculator app.
When I increase text size, the character is no more displayed in the center of the button and the button's position gets shifted some pixels to the top (very strange).

I hate sending 2-3MB emails.
It is one of the few things iOS has going for it IMO.
I like taking High Res pics, but I shouldn't have to resize the master pic before sending... It is too many steps.
Has no one made the app to allow more of this iOS experience?
I like having big icons on my phone but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do that. It seems the only launcher that will let me resize the icons is Go Launcher but I find it to be bulky and cumbersome is there any other launcher out there that will let me resize or even an app which will do it for me? I've used desktop visualizer to no avail and I'm pretty sure I've gone through most of the more popular launchers but was unable to find a resize option in them.
My phone is unrooted and I'm using a Xperia Pro.

I need more room (it's only 512MB) to install apps.
Well, the APP disk space (nand partition) is very small and the internal "sdcard" too big.
When I install a few applications the space runs out and the system becomes unstable.
I need to increase the nand and decrease internal sdcard to gain more room to my apps...
Well, I started the process by using the tools:
1) To unpack/repack: imgRePacker_204
2) The image ROM: sun7i_android_sugar-cubieboard2-8192cu.img (Android 4.2.2)
3) To burn to flash: PhoenixSuit1.0.6
unpacking the ROM creates a folder named sun7i_android_sugar-cubieboard2-8192cu.img.dump
So, somewhere in internet I see to change the sys_partition.fex file, and search the system nand partition:

so, I change 1048576 to 2097152 (2097152 * 1024 = 2GB)
but :
1) In installed android, the system has only 512MB and not 1GB as show.
2) By increasing this value, nothing happens when I repack back to IMG and flash to the nand.
(all unpak, change, pack, flash process is fine ! )

1. mmcblk0p1 1024 ebr1
2. mmcblk0p2 10.00 MB protect_f ->EXT4
3. mmcblk0p3 10.00 MB protect_s ->EXT4
4. mmcblk0p4 750.00 MB android ->EXT4
5. mmcblk0p5 376.00 MB cache ->EXT4
6. mmcblk0p6 1.20 GB usrdata ->EXT4
7. mmcblk0p7 1.27 GB fat ->VFAT
Now, mmcblk0p7 (1.27 GB of vFAT) partition is used as sdcard1 but I also have a 8GB of mnt/sdcard partition. So, the mmcblk0p7 partition is totally useless in my phone. My questions are:
1. Can I add/merge mmcblk0p7 partition with mmcblk0p6 (/data) partition?
2. Or, Can I re-size/increase my mmcblk0p6 (/data) partition from mmcblk0p7
3. Or, Can I make the mmcblk0p7 as a swap partition like linux OS?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to create a basic AlertDialog using an activity with a theme of Theme.Dialog.What I want is for there to be a horizontal bar between the title and the message. However, the bar is not being resized correctly. Rather than being the width of the activity, the bar is the width of the message text. This means that if the activity is being expanded by the message, then the bar will fill the whole activity, so it looks correct. However, if the message width is less than the activity width, the bar only displays above the part of the activity with the text. I've tried every single combination of "fill_parent" and "wrap_content" that I can think of, and none of those work.I've also tried using RelativeLayout and placing the bar above the message text, but that also doesn't work. If I use the RelativeLayout approach and set the bar to fill_parent, it causes the activity to expand to fill the whole screen width, which is also undesirable. Ideally, I want the text placed, the activity width computed, and the bar resized to that width (without affecting it). Is there some way to flag a view to fill the parent view but not to affect its size?

I use dialogs made from layouts, but since I set the theme for the application, they have inherited all of the regular styles and no longer carry a border, etc. My question is: How do I say, "I want everything to use this theme which extends Theme, except dialogs, which should use this other theme that extends Theme.Dialog"? It seems like that's how things work by default but when you set the theme to your own, you lose the dialog theme!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've extended Theme.Dialog to use a different color as per the sample in the ApiDemos project but for some reason it does not use the theme properly in my project. I created a new project and it works perfectly fine there. The main problem here is that it does not show as floating in my project. Instead, it sets the rest of the screen black except for what would be the dialog window, where it uses the correct colors, etc. Any ideas? I am beating my head against the wall here.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI frequently email pictures from my phone. My iphone used to allow me to select a few pictures and send them. It would automatically resize so that recipients didn't get huge files.
I have not to date found a way to do this on android. I can go into quick pik or other programs and resize a picture manually... then select several and email.. but this is cumbersome and results in duplicates of my pictures in my gallery. I can't easily tell which is the big picture file and which is the small.
Is there a program out there that will automatically resize and send multiple pictures? This could be a separate program that sends to gmail or an email program itself.

I am using the default ICS launcher. I could not resize them by tapping and holding - there would not be any widget resize handles. I would like to "hack" the config files to shrink these widgets to a more sensible size.
I have a aftermarket navigation system in my car that includes an adapter to conect other screen in the upper dash. this adapter is to connect to OEM screen of the car but i dont need it.
my idea is to conect a chinese tablet i have here. the tablet is a 7''. the adapter lets me mount the tablet but i wont be able to see all the screen.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI uploaded a couple of pics I had taken with my Evo on Androidforums and when I did I notice everyones pics in the thread were allot bigger than my pics.I had the 5.3 widescreen turned on and they told me to take it off. I did and tried taking new pics and seeing the results. The pictures did come out a a bit bigger but when I tried resizing them in photobucket the quality would be effected which makes no sense since 8m is goog enough to make a huge poster whith amazing quality.
There was also people with much bigger pics than the ones I had resized and made as big as photobucket let me and they were perfect high quality while mine which were smaller were loosing quality.
How can i write small information while i'm talking to someone on the phone?

For some reason the browser is not rendering correctly webpages - the fonts are extremely small and the page is off centered. This is happening only while on 3G/Edge connection - if using WiFi this issue doesn't occur.
This happens with every single browser: Stock Browser, Firefox, Chrome, Dolphin, etc.
I thought this was a ROM specific issue, but I have tried flashing more than 3 ROMs now (every time I've flashed i've done a wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and wipe data/factory reset) with no luck. I also tried formatting the internal SD.
