the language is '' Kurdish ''.
where to start from ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI read http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/resources-i18n.html. But it shows how to localize your app for the currently selected locale of the phone. However, I want to add a "language" option into my own app, and allow the user to switch the UI language independent of the phone's locale setting.
My currently solution is to manage a string table myself, and dynamically edit the text string of every UI element. However, this is rather tedious. Is there a better way?
How can i create an application which support Korean as well as English language?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a GNex. But have my phone in German. Because of this Google Search and Google Now are also in german.
And Google voice no longer talks back to me. Even though I have changed my setting(or so I think) to english. Google Now still defaults to giving me search results for google.de
Is there a way I can keep my phone in german, but have my voice search talk and answer in english?
I would like to change my region/language setting independently from the general LANGUAGE-SETTING in settings !!!
Ok that means i dont care about the language my apps will be displayed in as long as it is english "which should be in every rom.."
But i do care about the region they are set in... means when i start MIUI News/Weather (geniewidget.apk) I want to see News from Germany and temperature in Celsius..
When I play "who-becomes-rich" I want Euro for currency! and so on ...
Is there any way to set the region like that ? (build.prop or anything else..?)
Im using MIUI v4 with my G-Nex.
Does anyone know of some alternative JVM language, however obscure it might be, which can compile to plain old java bytecode, without the need of a language runtime.I need this in order to try to develop android applications without startup or size penalty. Scala, Clojure and Groovy all require its own runtime library distributed with the application, so they are out of the scope of this question. The only one language which claims to satisfy this goal is Charles Nutter's Mirah, but I couldn't make it to work on windows. To clarify a bit, I know any language has to have runtime library. Obviously, what I am looking for is a language that has no additional runtime required besides JRE, or at least very limited one.

Does anyone know of an app or a way to add French to the Android dictionary so that I can text in French without it always trying to correct it in English? I want English as the base language just want to add French in as well without having to go into the dictionary and add French words like crazy I did find an app called "Slide it" that appears to offer something that will do this but just wanted to ask the experts first....plus it's not free so I hate to purchase this if it won't do what I need

I have an app with spanish text and I would like to have it in multi languages. When I detect the phone language with
Locale.getDefault().getDisplayLanguage();
I want to translate all text to that language. Is it possible?
I need an app which get GPS coordinates of the device(if GPS is disabled - get last known location coordinates) and also get the language of the device(Locale).
When I start the app, it will appear a button with link to website. Clicking that button will open the default browser and go to website(set by me). That website will use the GPS coordinates(Long/Lat) and language of the device to show information on that language and somethings near this coordinates.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if there was a way to add Japanese as an language input for the Android keyboard? By default, there is no option to add Japanese as a llanguage input, and all other keyboards that have it are either ugly, don't have ICS as an optional theme or just too much, I prefer the stock Android keyboard on ICS over anything else and I'm sure there are some of you that agree. It would be nice to have this and other possible languages as optional languages on this keyboard.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm going to buy an android phone and decided to go for a china phone, namely the Jiayu G3.
The problem I face is that no matter if I choose the G3 or some other mtk6577 phone, there is no mtk6577 that natively supports Greek language.
So, I wonder if there is way to install the language of your choice (for me Greek) into a phone that originally didn't support it.
If there is a way, it will solve my hands in choosing the best for me and not the one that will appear eventually with greek lang support (and which may not have the specs I want).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've looked all over the web for this. On my S3 - running JellyBean, I'd like a home screen shortcut directly to the phone's "Favorites" or "Recent" list. There doesn't seem to be any way to do this. Old posts refer to a 'create shortcuts item on the home page menu, but all I have is "add shortcuts and widgets", and there are preciously few of these supplied that are phone related.
