Apr 29, 2012You know when you disable usb debugging and then pluging usb cable and mount, Pc shows internal sd, external sd also a cdrom image. I know we can change internal external mounts but is there a way to change cdrom image? I've a ultrabook which hasn't got a optical drive, but it can mount sd cards also the cdrom image when I plugged my phone. I want to use my phone as a cdrom.
Think about an app which selects iso files and then when you plug you phone via usb, pc saw phone's sd cards and also that chosen iso file as a cdrom.

General :: Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Can't Use USB As Storage Device Using Card Reader
May 7, 2013I am having a problem getting my galaxy tab 10.1 to recognize a usb flash drive I have connected via an adapter. I know it works because it detected a wireless mouse I connected to it, and it shows up when I use dmesg or lsusb in the terminal. The thing is that none of the file explorers I've used (Es, Astro) are able to detect the files I have on it. The usb drive is formatted to fat32; would it be more likely to detect it if I formatted it to ext3 or ext4?

1) Run VNC client on my PRS t1 (is it up to it?)
2) Run VNC server on my android phone, pair the _phone_ with a full size Bluetooth keyboard.

General :: Connecting SGS3 To PS3 Controller?
Jan 12, 2013I have a Sprint Galaxy S3 and I've been trying for weeks to connect it to a PS3 controller. I got a usb to mini usb converter, downloaded the Sixaxis Controller app and rooted my phone, but after connecting to the controller and turning it on it just flashes while the app says "listening for controllers..." so I assumed I must have got a faulty converter ordered a new one, same results. Then I ordered gameklip after reading that it could connect with your controller just by plugging in a mini to micro cable and after it arrived I'm getting the same problem. The phone just doesn't seem to recognize that there's anything plugged into it. I've tried two different PS3 controllers. I've tried resetting them using a paperclip and the button on the back. I've tried resetting the phone multiple times. I've honestly tried everything I can think of. It just doesn't seem to work.
Everybody I can find on the internet seems to have no problem with either a wired or wireless method, but I can't seem to figure it out. I don't know if there's just something simple I'm missing or if there's some compatibility problem I don't know about, but I've spent over $50 trying to get this thing to work so I'd like to see that pay off.
I have a SPH-L710 on 4.1.1.

Apr 18, 2013Been pushed over to the new outlook app from hotmail yesterday. I the issue im having is that it wont connect and download/recieve/notify me of any emails if im on mobile internet. If i connect to my Wi-fi at home, within seconds they all come flooding in.
It does nothing if i try and refresh it either. I have 3 "hotmail" accounts on the app, all of which worked fine when still using hotmail app..

Oct 21, 2012i got an S3.. and my computer has xp pro. i had to restore my computer recently from a saved image of my system. before i restored my computer, i was able to connect my S3 to it via USB with no problem. but after i restored it, i'm unable to.
i downloaded and installed the MTP driver, which got my computer to recognize my phone before i restore it. but now its not working and i dont see it listed in Device Manager. whats weird is that when i connect my S3 to my computer, the phone doesnt give any notifications that the phone is connected to USB like it used to before. and it also doesnt give me the 2 options of connecting by either MTP or Camera. all it does is charge my phone.

Oct 26, 2012Our home wifi router gives my wife and I perfect wifi speed & strength for both laptops, both i-touches & my iPad; however, bought my wife a Nexus 7 yesterday & it always states 'out of range' unless I am within 5 feet of the router (as this is upstairs in a spare room, this is not exactly ideal...)
I've seen elsewhere there are possible issues with the Nexus 7 & also the Kindle Fire HD (which is/was an alternative for my wife) & could be down to 5ghz or 2.4ghz transmission on the router?
Should the Nexus 7 go back in favour of a Kindle Fire HD (which boasts better wifi connectivity)?

Dec 13, 2013I have been struggling to make phone calls/send texts/go online without turning on WiFi. My phone rarely connects to the 4G network that I know is strong , because my dad's identical Galaxy S3 is quick to connect to it. My phone rarely connects to Edge either now. When I go into the "Search Mobile Networks" tab my phone just keeps searching and searching... and searching. I thought I had the solution a moment ago when I turned on and off Airplane Mode. My phone connected to 4G for a moment and I was able to send one text, but then it dropped back into nothingness. In addition, it takes nearly 30 seconds to switch into airplane mode after I select it.It's not the sim card because I tried it on a different phone and it works fine. My dad's a cynic when it comes to rooting and he's saying it might be because I rooted my phone, but this issue started two to three weeks after I rooted... is rooting a potential cause?

Jan 3, 2014I have a problem with connecting my Samsung galaxy S3 (android 4.3) to any of my PCs. Before everything worked fine but then I upgraded to android 4.3 and connections started crashing. It still worked but connections were unstable. So I installed Samsung Kies 3 and from then on I haven't been able to connect my device to any PC. I tried everything I found on web. I have developer mode and usb debugging on. I know my cable is OK because other devices work just fine. Someone suggested going to usb settings but apparently there is no such think in android 4.3 settings, so I downloaded some apps to change my usb settings but they all require a rooted phone. I tried rooting my phone but even for that I need to connect it to a PC. I really need to connect my phone to PC to test apps(android emulator lags waaay too much).

Most people issues around this is that they don't pair when the device is visible. (I assume that it is not related to the CM)
