I want a way or an app to close an opened app completely when I press back button on my phone.It is mean that I don't wan this app to go to the recent open apps list.I don't want to enter the recent app list to closed app every time by sweeping. I'm using Samsung galaxy s2 plus with CM11.

Suddenly, my android phone have trouble with the issue that some of Applications close automatically right after launching, especially right after I reboot phone. What are the cause ?
After reboot, my phone still has about 200MB RAM free. however, after reboot about 1 or 2 minutes if I open Facebook,/xda,/viber ...it will automatically close immediately and back to home screen. BUT if I take the phone rest about 15mins, it becomes operating normally. No trouble with the issue that some of Applications close automatically right after launching anymore. So I don't know what's happen.

Android 2.3.6.
I am using the Stock ROM, My mobile is rooted.
I am also using GO Launcher EX and Go Locker.
Each time i lock my phone and keep it for a while ( 15 minutes or more i think ) The Facebook Messengers and Whatsapp's Background service closes automatically, which lead that i don't receive any notifications.
BUT .. When i unlock the phone the service restart and opens again, but this made me lose many conversations because i didn't receive the notification. And Here is a test i made :
1- Lock the phone
2- keep messaging periodically my phone and i kept receiving notifications for long time ( 1 hour + )
3-but when i stopped sending myself messages and the phone was idle for 15min+ then i messeged my phone again, no notifications were received
4-after i unlock the phone and then i instantly gone to "Running Service tab" to check the service i found them " Restarting".
5-after they finished their restart i received the missed notifications.
Note : I Don't have any Auto-Task killer applications ( i had before but uninstalled it )
I'm looking for something that will close apps (and the commands that make them relaunch) in an automatic way (i.e every time the said app is beign activated).
I need something non root ( the apps being closed are not an internal part of the rom), preferably free, and that is trustworthy (security wise).
I'm launching a webbrowser via an intent, which allows my app user to login to Google Docs in a 2-legged oauth dance. This works fine, and the browser callback comes to my app with the right authentication string.
I just want to be able to kill that browser window once we are done - having it sitting there is confusing and messy.
How can I kill a browser window I started up?
I have a simple list view with some check boxes in an alert dialog. I need to option to add a select all/none but you can't bring up the menu in an alert dialog, and I want to do this function from a button. From what I've seen any kind of button (positive, neutral, and negative) all close the dialog regardless.
So, is this possible? If no, what alternatives do I have? My last mitigation is to simply create a new view and recreate everything. Is a new view the best solution?
Being new to the Android, I was wondering if there is a program out there that will close your application permanently once you're finished with it? I know Task Killer is out there, and use it quite frequently, but I'm noticing that when I get out of DroidLive, Google Maps, etc. they stay running in the back ground and the phone will start to get sluggish.
Also on Bootup the phone boots Facebook and Google Maps. Any way to disable this?
Is there an app out there that can force close a different app on command? Or is there a way to do it without using a different app?

Last night, one of my apps, flow free, wasn't working properly, and then it forced closed, then I think most of my apps did, like Samsung homepage, gmail, software update, android phone, log provider etc. I have a Samsung galaxy y Gt-S5360T, I haven't changed anything like ROM so I think it will still be in stock rom. After these apps have forced closed, it will turn off, we'll more its like it just turns itself on again. And then the problem just starts over. While this is happening, I can't really do anything, well when the force close thing isn't up, then sometimes I can start going into things, but never get a chance to do anything because the force close things either take me back to the home menu, or it turns off, sometimes, instead of having apps on the first page, and the call log, contact book, and messaging on the bottom, it just has the menu key, that's it. And even when I haven't unlocked it, it turns itself off and on again.
My SIM card had a problem, so I recently changed that to a blank and had it working with my old number and balance. And because of this, it was last night, I saved my contacts to my phone, rather than my SIM card.
Is there any way of fixing this( have already tried turning it off and on, and taking the battery out and putting it back in again) without losing my photos, songs, saved messages and contacts? And if not, is there any way of saving them to something else, even though my phone won't let me do anything? So what can I do?

I think it started when my phone was low on memory (for applications) and I did market update with lot of errors. By now low memory errors is fixed.I tried some advices, like wipe data of that app, wipe dalvik cache, global fix permissions, disable autostart of non-system apps. Nothing worked.
I use Chroma Doze as a white noise generator and I wonder if there was an app which could close it after a set period of time (like the sleep timer most have).
I really like the way Chroma Doze works so reluctant to switch.
i want to know if there is a way to request a pasword every time the user wants to change the app or go to home screen, tha idea is that this app will request a password to allow the user change the app or go to home screen.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just rooted my inspire last night and everything went good then i started messing with an app called "andriod overclock" I went to extras then i dont remeber exactly what I clicked but i dragged it all the way to the left..i rebooted the device because it said it was required. now when I try to open an app i get an error saying something like force close? my phone is also like 10 times slower. i can still open some apps but most wont. if i open the settings it closes after about 5 seconds.

I'm trying to kill apps like Google Music and Navigation (while GPS connected and Navigating).
Tasker can kill it for a moment (~3 seconds) but the app relauches.
I'm using the workaround:
Google Music:
- Disconnect BT (which pauses the music)
- Goto Home
Nav: - Macro (it messes all up when Nav is not running, i.e. I've closed manually)
My fiance's phone automatically converts my contact information into my [URL] contact, which makes the SMS convert into MMS. This slows down everything. We have deleted the entire thread, and all of each other's contact info, and tried to start over, but it just continues to default to that number. View 1 Replies View RelatedI had the issue of Gmail not syncing on my Dx2. For that matter, nothing related to Google would sync! I could do it manually, but it would not do it automatically. I also didn't have any check boxes next to the individual items in the gmail settings!
What I found is that the Motorola Power widget controls ALL sync features! Almost like a main power switch for sync. Make sure you have the sync feature on this widget turned on! As soon as I turned it on, everything worked like it's supposed to.
I am not saying that this is the answer to everyone's issue, but it worked for me! I was on the phone with VZW for about an hour trying to figure this out and we were about to do a factory reset and Josh suggested that we check this..... IT WORKED!
lately in my Asus Padfone 2, the wifi keeps turning on automatically without my permission. Everytime I wake the screen from lock screen, I can already see the WiFi indicator is on above, it's driving me nuts I have to turn it back off every once in a while. This only happen lately when I install many apps from Store I can't remember, so I reckon one of those apps is the main cause of this problem. Which in my running apps turns on my WiFi automatically?

Resigning the APK doesn't work, because it breaks access to Google Drive API, but just replacing resources.arsc in the device (I have root access - CM10.1) with rebuilt one worked. The result works fine, however after day or so Keep is uninstalled from device automatically. I guess that's because the signature of resources.arsc is obviously broken. But is there a way to avoid this automatic uninstall?

I frequently update to the latest nightlies when I am on a specific rom. However every time I do so the rom will reinstall system apps that I delete because they are useless. To delete system apps I have to use an app which is annoying.
Is there anyway to blacklist apps to automatically uninstall them when I update my nightlies?
