I'm having problem using "Kill App" from Tasker.
I'm trying to kill apps like Google Music and Navigation (while GPS connected and Navigating).
Tasker can kill it for a moment (~3 seconds) but the app relauches.
I'm using the workaround:
Google Music:
- Disconnect BT (which pauses the music)
- Goto Home
Nav: - Macro (it messes all up when Nav is not running, i.e. I've closed manually)

I connected to a server after then, to close InputStream and OutputStream call the code...
But, the streams is still alive. If I make once again, there are 2 different InputStream. Exception does not happen.
How to completely close the streams?
I cannot leave it running in the background as it kills my battery. is there another app that is a good IM program that is more gentle on the battery and allows the phone to sleep? I cannot understand why developers don't allow the phone to go into a sleep state, using IM to wake it up and reactivate the IM application, much like PDAApps Verichat used to do.

Most of them are pretty obvious but there are a few I'm not sure of. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of services/processes/etc. that we can safely kill off and/or set for auto-kill/disable at startup? Edit: One I was curious about is Google Partner Setup. I have killed it off without any issues through Task Panel. But would having it on the auto-kill list be OK?

I need to option to add a select all/none but you can't bring up the menu in an alert dialog, and I want to do this function from a button. From what I've seen any kind of button (positive, neutral, and negative) all close the dialog regardless.
So, is this possible? If no, what alternatives do I have? My last mitigation is to simply create a new view and recreate everything. Is a new view the best solution?
Ok, I have had a Motorola Droid since they released the phone and my battery has been great. I could charge it overnight and take it off the charger around 6:30 am and when I put it back on the charger around 9 - 10 pm at night I would still have anywhere from 50% to higher battery life and this is after very heavy usage.
Beginning a few days ago I noticed that my Droid battery indicator is showing almost completely drained out by 6 pm and I really used my phone lightly yesterday and today. Today and yesterday both, the red LED was blinking and the battery indicator was showing almost completely dead by 6 pm. I pulled up the battery usage on the phone and it is showing the 'browser' as the biggest battery hog for some reason. Today it was showing 81% of the battery usage was from the browser. I hardly, if at all, used the browser today. I also checked the firmware version and it is showing 2.0.1, which I never updated it myself.
Are there any suggestions about why the browser would be draining the battery down so bad, when the browser has not even been used? Is there a way to close out the browser so it doesn't continue sucking the battery dry, besides using an app killer program?I did search the forum and did not see a specific question/answer to my question. I know I had read that some people were seeing battery issues after upgrading to 2.0.1, but I did not upgrade my phone, it must have done it.
What I'm trying to do is call-forward my number to Dell VOIP when connected to WiFI, but I want to kill the Dell Voice app when I'm not connected to wifi because it's a battery drainer. So far I have everything setup so that when I'm on WiFi, all calls get routed through WiFi into the Dell Voice app.. what I cannot figure out how to do is kill the app once I disconnect from WiFI. I tried searching but couldn't find an answer.

So I need a way to tell Android not to kill an app, for example a gesture app or a "App Lock" App. I haven't rooted my Device yet, because I've got a new Nexus 4 (there's still my Xperia P in my signature), but I can if it's necessary for that cause.
The App I want to give these rights to is "Glovebox".
I've been trying to find a decent terminal with many netstat options, but havn't had much luck. So any app that has netstat ability with the ability to select and kill established processes linked to certain connections.
If not, do you know of a terminal that includes all the netstat options?
So now I fully optimized my galaxy mini, and I have cyanogenmod 7 mebitek slim, I did everything to optimize it, installed V6, overclock 825 Mhz, killed every unnecessary task, even killed launcher by THIS way, have 230 MB free RAM of 279(true free about 205 MB) and now in RAM when I play a game there is just android system task and dialer task, and I was wondering, is there a way to kill dialer, because when I kill it with Task Killer ProMax Mini and select root kill, it kills dialer, but it auto-restart all the time...
So, is there a way to kill it without after killing auto-restart?
I made a tasker profile to scan face in every 15 seconds by using another plugin (smart stay). Some situations it gives "unable connect camera" error. When I run restart camera app I can fix this issue.
How do I fix "unable connect camera" error by using terminal command. Because I planned to run that command right after (after 5 seconds delay) tasker trigger face scan action.

So have galaxy s4 with mf9 build rooted phone and followed a video( by qbking 77) how to make wifi hotspot work free on sprint network. I am currently runing on 4.2 if I do the ota update will the hotspot still work free? Because I use the hotspot all the time and I dont want to pay th3 xtra 30/month. Im not t b at techy and 4.2 version is fine for what I do on my phone so if it will kill it I just wont upgrade or is 5here any videos of how to get hotspot to work on 4.3 if the updat3 kills native wifi?

I have this feature on my I9000 running GamerzROM (4.2.2) and I really miss it on my tablet.
The Cube is also running on 4.2.2 and is rooted. Is there any tweak or an app that can add this button?
I have my lenovo p770 and its been a month since i used it, my problem that ive encounter was when i have a low ram the android cant even kill apps on its own to free ram for the apps the im gonna use. is my device defective? it forces the apps to crash. I activated it in France the 3g didnt work but I just thought it was because I was on highway. I entered Belgium but only for a brief 2 hours and the 3g worked perfectly. Then I entered Germany and for 12 hours being there the 3g signal didnt even come on. Yes I've wiped in cwm installed different ROMs cleared everything restored from RUU but using the app Diskdigger I can always find files & everything that I've already deleted. One day I installed a beta firmware for the G2/vision. The beta gave my phone a weird glitch where any apps that I installed would instantly force close afted I restarted the phone, but it would work fine if it was uninstalled and reinstalled. I shut it down and went into hboot and then recovery again. from there i installed wiped it and did a factory reset. then i tried to boot my phone, but nothing again. lastly, i tried a different rom, paranoid android. i installed it and get past the htc quietly brilliant screen, but then it gets stuck at the paranoid android screen.
