I use Chroma Doze as a white noise generator and I wonder if there was an app which could close it after a set period of time (like the sleep timer most have).
I really like the way Chroma Doze works so reluctant to switch.

Any app that will automatically shutoff my Samsung S4 after a set period of time?
What I use this for is I may be listening to a Netflix or HBO GO movie (yes I know, "listening") and I want the phone to shutoff after 30 minutes.
I was having a hard time finding any app that does this. Google searches just showed me results of shutdown problems, and the apps I came across were to reboot the phone.
I have tried searching the database for this and googled it and I couldn't find anything.
I'm not very experienced in Android, however, I am trying to develop an application. Within the application I want to check if the current time falls between time ranges

View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I do the incorrect pattern enough times, will it lock me out of my Droid for an extended time period? How long? How many tries do I get? The reason I ask is because, the Droid (ANNOYINGLY) suffers from a slight lag when brought out of sleep mode. Basically EVERY TIME I try to wake it and quickly enter my pattern, I will be halfway through it and it will hit a lag spike I guess and stops reading that I am touching it, and the first half of the pattern I was entering will be counted as an incorrect pattern, and as I continue to finish the pattern, the second half will be counted as an incorrect pattern. Basically, I use up 2 tries, and I would hate for this to happen, and then I go to enter the actual pattern and I just make a mistake, and use my last try up. So do you get only 3 tries?

i have a samsung galaxy gio GT-S5660M Android version 2.3.4 build number GINGERBREAD.MUGKG3 (Stock rom gingerbread ) but it is rooted. ok so i was trying to free up some space on my internal memory and i was using titanium back up and i converted google play to a user app (it took too long so i assumed it didn't work) but i backup the google play. i was able to move it to sd card thought ,but then i still don't have enought free memory to receive text msg (20mb needed) so i did a factory reset which freed up everything. and i was still rooted ( i fixed it) but now google play won't open it gives me this message (process com,android,vending) so i downloaded a new com.android.vending but still won't work i tried the clear data it will open and i can search but whenever i try to download it will force close.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am new to the whole rotting thing, I installed the bugless beast on my droid 2 days ago and everything went great and it worked fine, I'm just having an issue with it being really lagy at times and the biggest problem is that it freezes everytime I open or close the keyoard, I have to forse close and wait for it to load everything up again, a message is desplayed and it says:
The application launcher+(process android.process.acore) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Then I hit forse close, it usually only happens when I open or close the keyboard but sometime it will happen at random. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it.
Love the X10 but cannot get mediascape to work, get force close message each time. Sony not responded to any of my emails and when I called they were not that helpful, could only suggest I restore to factory settings. Do not really want to do that.

I got the email last night about the new swype beta. I could not find an answer anywhere so I thought I would ask here. But sometimes the phone does not puts a space and I have to put one. If that is the case then the next letter is capitalized.

What is the correct way to add a period? It seems that when i first started using it, if I used a period it would automatically add a space and capitalize the next word. But it doesn't do that now. I get no space or capitalization and have to add the space manually.

- Currently there is no mechanism built into android that allows an app to be closed. I see that you can close the main acitivity, but the user can always press the back button and go back into the app.
- After trial period, the user can always un-install the app and re- install it. What do I do to prevent this from happening?
