When checked the handset, i saw that it is asking me to enter the new password to login. How can I remotely sign-in my android device?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using a galaxy nexus with the newest version of jelly bean. For the past couple weeks, ive been experiencing a constant barrage of gmail sign in failed error messages.
I am able to login to gmail using the gmail application, as well as the generic email application. in the google account settings, it is able to be synced, and manually syncing doesn't prompt the error message.
I googled this issue and came across a couple solutions - changing my password using the chrome mobile browser, clearing the cache, etc, but nothing seems to work.
Its getting fairly frustrating having this notification pop up every few minutes or so.
I have a problem with my HTC magic after clearing the date in the App Manager. This could be a temporary problem or your card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care. Keeps appearing after I tried signing into my gmail account. There is data inside my phone which I wish to keep it. My Backup manager isn't working.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Android (LG Optimus S) so maybe I'm missing something but I downloaded a lock screen widget today - and I can't uninstall it to save my life. I am not totally ignorant, I read the special instructions to remove the widget as a device administrator and tried that first but it just lets me select Deactivate but does not actually deactive, it stays as an administrator no matter what I do, so then the app won't uninstall.

i have begun receiving a "Sign-in error" for the main Gmail account I set up the phone with. It stays in the notifications bar and if I try to input the password it authenticates forever then tells me the password or login are incorrect.Weirdest part though is I can still access the account and it appears i am still receiving push notices.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm an Android newbie - I've just purchased an Android v4.2.2 tablet and I'm having a basic problem that I can't sign in (using the tablet) to my google account, which is not a gmail account: it's xyz@myisp.com. I can sign in OK from my windows-based PC and netbook - but from Android, the email/password are not recognised.
To get going I created a gmail account which enables me to sign in to my new android device: but obviously that doesn't give me access to all my google-related "stuff" that is in my xyz@myisp.com google account.

Can anyone tell me how to NOT receive the same email in gmail conversation that comes into my regular gmail? Every time I get an email on gmail the same email also goes into gmail conversation. Is there a way to remove this so I don't have to go into both just to read the same email? I don't really want to have the gmail conversation anyway? I just want to receive my email in gmail. Does anyone know what to do?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to figure out how to do 1 of 2 things.
1. Is there a way to Remove the GMail and Mail App altogether *Without breaking anything*? If I recall, I didn't think there was a way without breaking sync support for calendar and contacts.
2. If the above cannot be done, is there a way to keep the GMail app from actually syncing your mail, and removing any mail that it was already sync up? I've already disabled syncing in account settings.
I installed K9 mail, and rather use that, so that ALL my e-mail is uniform.
Last night i setup my gmail account using the gmail app. I noticed this morning when i was going to text message that every email address i have ever email in gmail is under my contacts on the text message screen. Is there any way to remove them?

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my primary computer crashed and I had to reinstall all my programs and restore files from a backup. I had been syncing my Outlook calendar with my Gmail account using Google Calendar Sync which would then sync with my Captivate. When I reinstalled Outlook and synced with Gmail, it created duplicates of all my appointments. The only way to fix this was to delete all my appointments in Gmail and resync. Unfortunately, it didn't remove the duplicates from my phone. In fact, I have triplicates of many appointments. I thought I could just remove the Gmail account from my phone and add it back. Nope, my phone says that it's required by some programs and can only be removed through a factory reset. I thought that maybe I had to have a Gmail account on the phone for it to work so I added another one. I then attempted to delete the original. Nope, still wouldn't let me. Since that wasn't the problem I tried to delete the newly added account. Nope, no can do. So am I understanding correctly that there is no way to remove an account once it's been added without doing a factory reset?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two gmail accounts on my droid, but since adding the second one, notifications don't work properly. The second was really just for conveniance sake of checking the account of a activity club I belong to, but I don't need it if it means not getting the notifications for the my primary account.
While adding additional accounts is easy as pie, I cannot for the life of me find a way to remove one once it is on there.
I don't know if I'm wording that correctly. On some of my old devices I was able to delete music just by selecting a song, hitting menu, & I'd have an option to delete the file for good. Does Android have any way to do this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedAndroid Version: 2.2 (2.10.405.2)
Network: Orange, CPW unbranded handset
Taskiller Used: Previously ATK - now none.
Issue:
I have two Gmail accounts setup on my phone, both of which use Google Apps, so the addresses are (at) example1.com and (at) example2.com as opposed to ending in gmail.com. I use my first account to sync my contacts, calendar and mail, and my secondary account just syncs mail. I then added an old @gmail.com account for no particular reason and now it won't let me delete it and gives this reason: "This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults".
When I first added the account, by default it didn't turn on mail sync. I have left that unchecked, and also left contacts and calendar sync unchecked. Therefore, this account hasn't yet interacted with any apps/programs. Is the reason I can't delete this @gmail.com account because Android recognizes it as a 'proper' Gmail address? I have searched for similar threads, but ultimately the discussions there seem to focus on different problems.
Please advise how to remove previously installed Gmail account.
