View 3 RepliesSo im giving launcher pro a try, and the only thing that's missing is the people widget as found on sense.Does anyone know of a good alternative that does much of the same thing?I know the paid version of Launcher has something similar, but i dont want to buy it until i've tried it for a couple weeks.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI'm a long time user of LauncherPro on the Moment and though Sense is fine, I'd like to go back. The one thing I'm missing is some sort of widget or shortcut to toggle 4G on my Evo. I've searched the market and frankly, I'm not paying a buck for a simple widget. It might be worth a quarter to me, but not a dollar. Ideally, I'd love something like the notification setup from the Epics touch wiz which would be worth some $$$ to me. Anyone know a free or cheap alternative?

The problem with Astrid is that it has a backup process which keeps running in the background even when I disable backups. (See for yourself, in running processes).
View 3 Replies View RelatedI tried out Flyscreen the other day and found its card-based flipping through rss/facebook/twitter/weather to be very fluid and pretty. The trouble is, I don't really want that as my lockscreen (besides which, it doesn't seem to truly lock the screen). Does anyone know of a similar app that creates a widget I can flip through in a similar way on a homescreen?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMusicmod is a great music widget. It's much more responsive/faster than HTC sense's music widget. However, it will NOT play tracks in their correct order as the sense widget does.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis widget will be skinnable, and display album covers. It will be free during beta dev (~2 weeks), and 0.49 after. It is not yet released on the market. This is a very early stage.I'll publish beta version here in few hours. It can only interact with ROM stock media player (if you are using android 2.1 music player on an Android 2.0.1, it will interact with the 2.0.1).ID3 tags supported up to v2.3 (android limitation)Do not ask for swipe, it is not possible with current Android SDK.
View 49 Replies View Relatedi have a lg gw620 or "intouch max" depending which way you look at things.anyways, the stock music player is fine, and has a solid selection of options within the app, however it lacks decent options on the home page (it only shows skip track and pause options unless you open up the app) what im looking for is something thats more widget like i suppose, that gives me more options without having to actually open the app.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI installed the app "Music Mod" to work in Launcher Pro because I couldn't get the Music Widget, and because I liked Music Mod, figured I would uninstall the standard Music App and the Music Widget in Titanium Backup. What I don't like is that when you uninstall a program, there is no option to ever install it again, it basically just deletes it as far as I can tell.
What I wasn't aware was since I uninstalled Music, when I am playing music and my screen turns off, when I turn it on, no longer are there the music controls anymore. I now have to unlock the screen and go to the widget. I use my phone as my MP3 player, so this sucks. While I'm on the run, I don't want to take my phone out of my pocket, unlock it, and click a small button on the widget to change a song. Anyone know if there is anyway to reinstall the stock Music App & Widget so I can get that feature back to change or pause songs without unlocking the phone?
Can anyone recommend a good music app with a widget? Am thinking of using the stock player with the Desire but am on the lookout for a good player within the market.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to listen to podcasts on My HTC desire whilst walking the dog, but because of the darned music player widget being operable through the lockscreen, it keeps pausing or skipping! Can i turn this blasted widget off?The skipping is not down to the Headphones issue on this one, i've solved that.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSomehow I am missing the really nice music widget that shows the album graphics. Not sure where I lost it, but I want it back! I installe several things (pancake, and 2.1 icons (which I got rid of)) but the music widget is gone... all that's left is a minimal music widget.
Any ideas or suggestions for getting it back?
I just finishing doing a wipe for fresh 2.3.3. I have everything configured but when i have my music widget on one of my screens, the album art doesn't show up. Is their anything im missing on configuring?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt stinks that Samsung didnt make one but is it possible for a developer to make one that works with the Galaxy S default music player? I plan to get the Epic 4g and want to use the samsung player, but it needs a widget

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have been googling for a couple days now searching for a sortable list widget similar to the one provided by stock android music app. What I would like is ability to sort a list similar to how you can sort your music playlist. I am coming to the conclusion that I am obviously not using the proper keyword to find my answer.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a trick to get it to fully close when you are done listening to songs?
I downloaded the Advanced App Killer to close that when I'm done listening to songs. I like having the widget, but maybe there's another app out there (with a widget) that can be used in place of the preloaded one, that will actually STOP, instead of just pause?
Pandora does it too, but I think there is a setting that shuts it off after a certain amount of time being paused...
I cannot seem to find a way to put music controls for Google Play Music on my home screen. I can put a link to a specific playlist and I can put the Google SoundSearch widget on my home screen but not an actual widget that allows me to quicklly pause play skip etc. It shows up on my lockscreen but I see no option for the home screen. Am I missing something?
I know the playback controls are now available in the notification pane but having to swipe down is an extra step. I seem to remember a widget before....
Recently installed SMS pop up from the market, but once i've read the message and close the pop up, and later decide to reply, the original text has disappeared. Is there an alternative to this app?
View 5 Replies View RelatedJust would like to hear your idea about that...I recently have seen the Samsung Galaxy S and , well, was really impressed about that! Then I have seen the new HTC Desire and heard good rumors about that. So, I was wondering, which one would you take as an alternative to the i Phone 4G? I have seen some price alternatives for Samsung Contract Mobile Phones galaxy s: compare models and prices contract mobile phones galaxy s. - Choppy Doo and HTC Contract Mobile Phones htc desire: compare models and prices contract mobile phones htc desire. - Choppy Doo What would you take if you were in my shoes?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just picked up the Motorola Droid, and I'm loving it.I'm trying to find the best free alternative to SMS (because it's ridiculous that after paying $30/mo for 3G access, I have to pay more to move 100-character messages around on the same network...).Ideal would be something like BlackBerry Messenger. So far, I've been using gTalk with my status set to invisible, and that seems to be a pretty good alternative. When I initiate a gTalk conversation with an invisible status, the conversation usually remains short - like an SMS conversation. One downside is that people never initiate conversations on gTalk with me while I'm set to invisible.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI see posts saying that FrameLayout is the alternative, and that I should use margins to position things (this strikes me as wildly counter intuitive, but ok... if it works, I'll take it). However, I can't get it to work, so, I'm looking for assistance. I'm aware of the fact that this may mean different things on different devices. I'm ok with that. I simply need a way to, programatically, and at run time, place an item at a SPECIFIC location. I don't want to rely on gravity (or the laws of thermodynamics). I just want to specify a location and have the element appear there :)
