Sep 16, 2010I swear I can't find a decent media player that works on 2.2. I don't care for the stock player that much. I want a player that just monitors one folder on my SD card that I can designate. I tried MixZing, but it does this stupid thing where it monitors what I play and tries to play similar stuff from my library. I skip a song and I end up seeing the same song I heard 3 songs ago. It's frustrating. I don't want that feature. Any suggestions on what media play will work best for me? I had bTunes, but it's buggy on 2.2 and it would seem that the developer has no plans to update the app any time soon.

Dec 17, 2009I call internationally on calling cards A LOT (gv to those countries is 2x more expensive). Because of the calling card, sound quality and volume already takes a hit. Translation from a non-native language is more difficult over the phone, and damned near impossible for me if I can't hear them CLEARLY and LOUDLY. Same goes for the party at the other end if my microphone is sub-par.
Can anyone recommend a Bluetooth headset that works well with the droid and has AMAZING call clarity, quality, and good volume? Aesthetics are unimportant, I don't care what it looks like or how big it is. It just need to sound loud, clear, and have a good mic. It also needs to be comfortable because it will get used 1-2 hours EVERY day.
Bonus points if its stereo and supports A2DP audio, as getting one of those for music listening is also on the shopping list... but I'm perfectly willing to get two separate units if I need to.

Sep 14, 2010The stock Android keyboard is pretty inaccurate for me.If it wasn't for word prediction and correction it would be a real nightmare to use. Samsung keyboard is okay but the space bar is way too small, I end up typing.words.like.this.I'm really diggin' SWYPE.It seems real fast and pretty accurate. Was just wondering if there was a better alternative to the stock Android keyboard that comes in the form of a downloadable app or such?I have seen the Droid X keyboard available somewhere.

Sep 11, 2010I have already searched the forums. I saw some vague answers and not were particular to the vibrant. Anyways, I was very excited I got the 32gb memory card. Now, the downside is that I still have to use the AUX input to play music. It's very inefficient to lose the concurrent charging capability by ignoring the USB output right next the the 1/8.This seems like a major negative on the part of this phone.There really has to be a way to get the head unit to communicate with a phone with such incredible technologies.Ideas guys? How can I do it?

I installed something called advanced task manager from the marketplace however I am finding several threads on how its not a good thing for the phone. I have no idea if its good or bad, but I do know that what shows up in the task manager list of running apps is way different than what shows up in the phones running task list - menu/settings/applications/running services. What shows up in task manager is a bunch of stuff that running services don't show. So whats the scoop? To have or not to have?

Sep 9, 2010I'm having issues with my Vibrant in regards to the music player. Every time I unplug my headphones from phone, the music player launches and plays music through the speaker. I use the headphones to talk while I game, and am not running the music app, however it still chooses to open. Is there anyway I can prevent this?
