View 3 Repliesi have a lg gw620 or "intouch max" depending which way you look at things.anyways, the stock music player is fine, and has a solid selection of options within the app, however it lacks decent options on the home page (it only shows skip track and pause options unless you open up the app) what im looking for is something thats more widget like i suppose, that gives me more options without having to actually open the app.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently bought an SD card for my Samsung Galaxy Centura, mainly so I could store music on it without taking up much of the memory. The odd thing is, when i went to play some music using the music player, only about a quarter of the songs showed up. When I used Android File Manage to check the SD card, they were all there and playable. All the songs are MP3 format. how I can get the songs to work on the music player?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my mom a nook hd+ flashed to cm 10.2. I'm pretty new to android myself. I'm looking for a music app for playing and managing untagged mp3s. My mom who is not at all tech savvy.
I want to dump all these lectures she has (untagged mp3s organized into folders) onto a micro SD card and have the player organize them into nice playlists using the folder structure. And automatically pick up new mp3s as they are added to the card.
Today I remembered a post about "like a sir" stuff and happens that the post had 2 musics playing simultaneously. After searching, I found out there was an IOS app for that (Double Player) but none for Android. An android app that plays two or more musics simultaneously exists or not?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThird-Party Music Player that only consumes about 15MB of RAM or less (if possible)?
Cause I have a 301MB RAM (140MB Available), and my Stock Player (Apollo) uses about 18MB (Using CM9)...
Apollo is quite good, but it lacks tweaks and customizability (if that's even a word ), especially for Widgets
Just wondering is there a music player or a skin for a music player. That is like a old click wheel iPod that you can use in the same way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEarly this morning I d/l another music to try out. It's called Astro Player Nova.
The Nova is a beta app but looks to have promise. It contains several features that I look for and even includes the ever-elusive equalizer!
I use a combination of my Eris' stock player, Cubed (3) and Zimly to accomplish my desire to create playlists, queue songs and have an easy to use interface.
The stock player creates playlists the easiest of any app I've used that can do it, while I love the way that Cubed handles music selection and queuing of songs. Zimly has the easiest and slickest interface of any app I've tried. In fairness to Zimly, I recently found a way to create playlists and queue songs in the app. These features aren't as easy to find or identify in Zimly as within the stock music player or Cubed, but they exist.
Well, I am trying the Nova from Astro and it looks VERY promising! This app allows playlist creation, provides queuing of songs and...wait for it...Wait for it...IT HAS AN EQUALIZER!
This product is still in beta so I'm taking it through the paces, including the equalizer. I have an aux input in my car, I use wireless FM xmitter in my wife's car and I wear headphones when exercising, so I should be able to reasonably assess how useful the equalizer is.
One nice feature of the beta app is that it has a option to send feedback to the developers right from the app. This is nice for those of us who don't have a problem with apps transmitting user data.
I will update this thread as I use Nova more. Also, I'm interested in other opinions from new users.
The audio/music player on my HTC Hero locks up immediately when it starts. As a result I cannot preview any sounds or play any music unless I stream with pandora or something. I have installed another music player app, which is fine for music, but the default player remains the one that locks up, so if I click an audio file to preview it, that app comes up and locks. Is there a fix for this? Can I somehow set another 3rd party player as default?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAm I right in thinking that the Music Player on the Desire is HTC's own?
Is there a default Android player?
I only ask as I think the current one that is default installed on the phone is poor, very poor. I use another app to play podcasts and even with the 'hide podcasts from default player' option ticked, they still show up in the music player.
I've dumped my thumb drive and now use my smartphone (HTC V One) for the same purpose. One side effect is I now have a couple directories full of mp3 files that I'd like to hide from the music player (no, they aren't those kinds of files. They're work related, not music).
Is it possible to hide directories from the music player? Even better, can I tell the music player to only look under 'My Music' on the SD card?
When I attempt to install the google music player from google play, it goes through the installation process, but then always says "Install" afterwards. It is never actually installed. I tried cycling power to my 7" Nook, but that did not work. I also checked for any hung process using the Elixer sysinfo tool, which did not work either.
Why the google music player won't install?
have question about Music Player Pro. Is any way to change icons in this app? I tried to change the icons in the APK MANAGER 4.9, and using 7zip but after each program would not install. I wanted to change the program icon and the little that appears in the notification bar to look like the logo audio beats. There is some way to change these icons?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been scowering the depths of Android music players trying to find an app that will simply let me browse SMB shares, sort according to ID3 track number tags, and play/queue music files.
The only app I could find that could come close is Xenoamp Beta, but it's buggy and often crashes when I point it at SMB shares with thousands of songs.
Otherwise I've come up with nothing.
Popular Music Players like Power Amp and Rocket Player etc, won't allow me to add SMB folders to their libraries. I've heard of solutions to mount smb shares into the "sd card", but such actions require root, which I don't want to do.
Popular Media Players like BSPlayer can browse SMB shares perfectly, but it won't parse ID3 tags and allow me to play according to track number.
Excellent File Managers like ESmanager will browse SMB shares with ease, but also won't recognize track number tags.
Notification Service In a Music Player: Useless or A Must have?
I ask this question because for the past few months i have been developing a music player, and whilst creating it, i have bumped into some issues and one of them is, a notification service.
I've tried and tried to implement it but haven't been able to so far.
So i need to know people opinions on the whole notification service in music players because if it's not that important then I'll leave it. I personally think every player should have it but what about you?
