I have a Image button which doubles as a play and stop button. I need the image in the button to change when the user click on it the first time, so that it now looks like a stop button. But this won't happen till the thread completes playing the song.

SetBackground wont reflect on the view as the invalidation does not occur. Where and how should I invalidate this?

I've searched the list and the documentation but have not found anything that tells you how to tell how many times a song has played. Is there something in the OS that provides that information or would it need to be done in the individual application?
View 2 Replies View RelatedRecently I've been having an issue with Google Play Music where when I play a song, it plays for a second then pauses, so I have to press play to get it going again. This occurs repetitively which means I can't listen to music.
It happens on songs that are being streamed and on songs that are on the device.
Funnily enough, if the song is played through ES file explorer and the little play music popup window comes up, it plays fine.
I've got this issue on both my devices, a tf101 running 4.3 and a nexus 5 with stock 4.4 rooted.
Edit: just remembered, I've also got this issue with MX Player and videos. I can't figure out what's wrong.
Streamed videos played through the gallery video player work fine.
I am wanting to allow the user of my android application the ability to set some parameters. The radio button is ideal for this situation. However, I don't like the radio buttons are rendered. Is it possible to change the radio button icon? For example, is it possible to create a custom layout for each row and in that layout reference my own icon and change the font et al.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S. I exercise alot and would like to know if there is a music player that can skip to the next song by pressing the head phone button twice. I dont want to touch the phone as i live in Australia and it is hot and i dont want to sweat all over the phone and break something. With the Iphone they have something where you hit the button twice on the head phones and it skips a song. Three clicks of the button the music player goes back one song. Is there a music player app or a head set i can use. If i press the button now it just pauses.

I just started using Pandora on my Droid and have a couple questions:
1.) Is there any way to view all the songs that have played on the station I created?
2.) If I accidentally hit the "thumbs down" icon on a song can I somehow go back and change that?

The Google Voice search is really helpful and thus far, I've had success getting Google search results, as well as using it to call contacts, handsfree.
I was wondering if its possible to use it to play music hands free. I see that there is an option for it under searchable items by going to Menu>Search>Searchable Items>Music, but I haven't been able to get any results by saying things like "play artist Radiohead" or just saying "Radiohead". It just brings up web search results.

View 16 Replies View RelatedRight now, when I press the button on my headphones, the stock music app plays/pauses. Double-click dials voicemail, rather than skipping to the next song. Is there any way to fix this? I tried TuneWiki, which is nice, but it crashed on me a couple of times. It behaves properly, but I'd obviously like it to keep playing.I realize I might be nit-picking with this one, but I screwed up my shoulder and will be in a sling riding the metro to work tomorrow. I'd like to keep the music playing and be able to change tracks using my one good hand, especially since it's likely that I'll be standing up.

but no possibility to Rewind the current music being played.

My top power button is completely stuck, out of no where, no drops or anything, just seems like it is stuck in its housing. I tried everything, banging on table, xacto blade and prying up but nothing. Just doesn't budge. Replacement will be here in a couple days.

I have the Samsung Galaxy Note II (AT&T), and i have not rooted it or put any custom ROMs or whatever onto it. i have been using the music player app that came with the device. (not the google play one that looks like headphones, the app that i use is a blue and white circle with a blue play symbol in the middle and a green musical note on the right side. just for reference) i just added a playlist, expecting the songs to be in the order that they were when i made the playlist in Kies. however, they were actually in alphabetical order and had numbers next to them (01, for example). i would like to be able to change the order somehow, or sync it so that the songs appear in the order they are in on kies.

Well, it obviously works, but not smooth. I will describe logic. I have a thread that changes brightness:

We have duration of brightness change, for example 10 seconds. I calculate next value of floatPercent (see code snippet above) the way, sleepTime should always be less than 50ms. So looks like it had to be smooth. But I always get not smooth transition. It relates specially the range of 0% - 5% of brightness. Smoothness is completely lost on this brightness range. What can you propose?
I'm coming from the iphone where a double tap of the home button on the lock screen brought up music controls. This was one of my fav features. Any possible way I can do this with android os? I cant seem to find an app for it or maybe im just completely dumb.
