I'm coming from the iphone where a double tap of the home button on the lock screen brought up music controls. This was one of my fav features. Any possible way I can do this with android os? I cant seem to find an app for it or maybe im just completely dumb.

i have some song with arabic names which is not supported , so i wanted to change it's name to english but couldn't find any way also some times the artist name is wrong , so is there any option or even application to change song , artist and album names?
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter a long time of wanting an Xperia x10 I finally got one on Saturday. Before that I had a Blackberry Curve, so things are quite different from what I've seen so far.I have a few questions after fiddling around for a while;
1) Is there a way to set an .mp3 song as my SMS tone?
2) My phone came with some Moxier software; is there a way to delete these? I won't be using them as they don't appeal to me.
3) I'm using the built-in Facebook app, and I'm not recieving any alerts for notifications...do I need to do something for this to work?
4) Speech Synthesis - What is this and how do I use it? (I installed some voice software like it asked, but I don't see how this software is used)
5) I downloaded a task killer which was recommended; do they work? My battery drops so fast, is there other methods around this?
6) Finally, any useful apps you'd recommend to get the most out of my Xperia X10? I've seen various new keyboard apps which have tempted me as I have a little trouble with the stock one, for example.
Does anyone know of an application that will allow me to use a song from my music as my ringtone?
I asked about it and I was told there should be an application that will let it work but I don't really know what I am looking for.
Is anyone using this? i started using its pretty cool but how can you change the name of the song on there i dont see anything?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia mini makes a double set of each picture. It doesn't happened right away, but after a while I have a smaller version of each picture on my phone. I couldn't find an answer in the manual. Is there a setting, where I can turn it of? It's quite annoying.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently encountered a problem with my Xperia X10, where I activated my MMS setting to receive MMS but in so doing, have apparently turned on the Internet access as well. In other words, everytime I turn on my setting to receive MMS, it appears my X10 automatically connects itself to the internet. If I turn off the internet connection, I end up not being able to receive my MMS messages .
My dilemma at this point is that when I received my last bill, it turns out that my phone regularly connects to the Internet on it's own (even in the middle of the night) and I got slapped with a large charge for Internet usage that I did not initiate. I was told that either I turn off the MMS Setting (to turn off the Internet) or I would forever be charged with internet access. Worse, I was told that whenever I need to access or receive my MMS messages, I would automatically be charged with connecting to the Internet aside from the regular charge of MMS.
I would like to know if what they told me is correct? It seems unfair that I will be charged 2 fees just to access only the MMS feature. Is there a way to be able to access only the MMS without accessing the Internet in the same breath?
Hey..not a real problem, but since my 2.1 upgrade when I receive a text message my notification rings twice for one message. Anyone else get this? It's just weird behavior...nothing I can't live with.

Every time I post on forums it always wants to double post, on here there is a 15 second gap before you can post again but on a lot of the forums I use are for work related pimping, well I post a lot on kite forums and run a kite school so it's kinda work related pimping. It's doing my head in as I have to go and delete a second post every time I post, just curious if any one else had this issue? It was there before I rooted my phone and it's there after I rooted my phone.

Before it was easy to highlight a typed word, double tap on the word, and then respell it or change the capitols. Now it´s very difficult to make that action happen and I find it easier just deleting the word and spell it again.
This is, for me anyway, less user-friendly than the 1.6 version! I´m hoping that this will be solved in future updates or if anyone of you experts out there have a solution. Changing to other programs as "handsent sms" is not a solution for me!
How do i set so the ADW launcher is when i press home? Before i just pressed the homehardbutton and i could choose but not working.
