Mar 7, 2010Just downloaded pandahome yesterday and ive been fooling around with it. Complaints so far: -where are all of the sense widgets, such as different clocks and the lanscape mini calendar? i cant find a wifi or data toggle
cant put widgets in docking bar. I think i like sense home better, except for one thing:
I love tha t the home screen can go into landscape view!
Is there any way to set it up to do this on sense home?

The launch activity is a Listactivity and the customized provider is extended from ContentProvider, u know, actually the sample is so similar to the Notepad Sample in the official SDK packages. However, i can't find the created .db file in the /data/data/myapp/ except the /lib directory. Why?

Jul 30, 2010I'm curious to see how these are selling. I have this feeling they are not selling very well do in no small way to T-Mobile's complete lack of interest in marketing this phone. On launch day for instance at my T-Mobile store they made no mention of the Vibrant AT ALL. No displays, posters, floor model unit to play with, nothing. I see ads on tv constantly for the Evo and even the obscure Garmin phone that 3 people bought. I've never seen an ad anywhere for the Vibrant though.

Sep 4, 2012Just as I said in topic - I runned out of memory on my SGSII on internal and sdcard and moved some pictures to /data/myfolder by using Root Explorer, then I've accidentaly deleted it. Is there any way to get the data back?
1) I cant mount /data so it can't be visible on My Computer
2) I couildnt find any app on Market which could recover deleted files from /data partition

Maybe there is a way to make a FULL IMAGE of data partition so I could scan it from my PC with some software for lost files? somehow?

Jul 11, 2013I have an Android LG Optimus Q (through Straight Talk). Because I wanted a screenshot app and to be able to have more "internal" memory, I rooted my device today and did a couple of other things.
1) I first rooted my device (and therefore installed SuperUser)
3) I installed Terminal Emulator
2) I downloaded CWM
3) I made a back-up (it said Done...)
4) I installed ROM Manager
5) I created (or at least I think so, since I went through all the steps) a second partition in my SD so I could create more "memory" destined to be used by programs.
6) I downloaded Link2SD and moved a couple of things to (I think...) the second partition in the SD
Everything was going ok, even though I wasn't sure if the partition had been created or not because I couldn't find a way to check it... until I went to check my 800 pictures and... they were all gone!!! I decided not to freak out at first because I remembered that I had made a backup directly through CWM... so I tried retrieving it through there... and nothing - nothing found... WTF?!
So I tried checking for the backup through ROM Manager, and... NOTHING! There must be a way to at least recover the files... You know, like when you accidentally delete stuff in your camera you can still recover it with a program... is there anything like that? or steps I should follow to recover the backup? I had pictures of my kid there and I just REALLY don't want to count them as lost.

turned off every sensor, turn of flight mode.overnight 10% ~15% battery loss.
most of the power is consumed by Android OS. other apps combined doesn't seem much.the reason is that it is frequently awaken.
i don't know why the Android OS is awaken that often. there must be some hidden app who caused this.

General :: Android SDK Installed From Multiple Sources - System Cannot Find File Specified
May 18, 2012I've searched to no prevail. id like to start developing apps but am having issues getting the environment set up. I have the jdk properly installed.
issue 1 (main major ):
I've installed the android sdk from multiple sources, but when i try to start sdk tools, the command prompt flashes/ opens briefly and i get this message:
"Failed to execute toolsandroid.bat: The system cannot find the file specified."
Do i need to change a PATH variable or something...
I cannot get eclipse to run. when i try to open the exe file ( because there is no short cut icon...?) it gives a message about not finding a companion library... ive try to change the properties in the file that is supposed to fix it, but it was already set the way its supposed to be. this is not major as i can use a different IDE.
so im completely lost as to th sdk tool. I just tried adding the file path to the android sdk ( PATH variable) and it still did not work... I also just tried start the android,bat file and the cmd promt flashes briefly saying somthing about xcopy is not an operable command...etc couldn't read all of it... I am on windows 7 home premium

I'm looking for a widget, that with one click of a button, it can restrict background data, disable auto-sync and enable mobile data, and when pressed again, enable WiFi, disable background restriction and enable auto-sync.
This function, no matter how trivial, would save time and effort.
Is there anything like this out there? Would something like this require root?
