It seems that with the cancellation of the N1 on both Verizon and Sprint, I lost my last best hope for an unadulterated Android platform. I honestly don't want Sense UI or any other proprietary UI. And at least on the Incredible (and presumably the EVO), its impossible to turn it off.

I'm currently running Warm TpT and I love it, and just wanted to know what the difference is between ROMS w/ Sense opposed to ROMS w/o Sense. I live in an area w/ 4g and am quite fond of it so I've stuck w/ ROMS running sense. Also, are there any Senseless ROMS that have 4g?

There are certain facebook friends that you could give a sh** about their senseless status updates and photo updates every five seconds. Right? Like friends girlfriends, chicks you hooked up with years ago, etc, that if you delete they will talk a bunch of trash about. So, my issue is: is there a way to have android ger updates from facebook and give notifications, but disable updating certain friends? or vice versa, choose a list of friends to update only. i have a Verizon Droid eris, stock 1.5 with Sense UI

View 2 Replies View RelatedToday 1 message came to me...as it was some scheme msg, so i deleted that msg as well as the entire thread created.
Now the problem is that, that msg dont seem to be deleted bcoz when i m opening any thread, its apperaing in the notification bar as it have arrived just now and when i m clicking on that msg, its directing me to compose msg window.....
What shud i do to get rid of that sticked msg?
I have restarted my fone twice and even cleared the cache of my msges from settings but still the problem is persisting....I m using LG EVE GW620..
So over the past few days the apps ive tried to download dont even start to download, I then turn my phone off and back on again and they start to download, then start to install, but just as i think its done i get a notification saying ''Installation unsuccessful''.
I have 14MB of phone memory left so ive constantly got the low on space icon in the notification bar but i have ample space for the certain apps i wish to download. Have i without realising fiddled with a certain setting or something?
I have been reading these forum guides for days now, trying all the guides. sadly always failing at the last steps. Now i have read that rooting from 2.1 is easier than rooting from 1.5 cupcake. But when i put the month forward to get the ota update, it first upgrades my firmware, then resets my phone , then i get a picture of a phone with a phone and a triangle with the exclamation mark. I then press home and power and comes up with the android system recovery and says E:Failure at line.

(without root) I liked some of the features of my Moto Droid, 1 feature was the "Favorites" list which automatically makes a list of your most contacted. no interest in restoring them, i want to make myself a stripped down speed-deamon version of my current rom (SR3.3.1) which i love. If i need any of the stuff back ill just flash a new rom.
I figured I'd post this in the root forums cuz it may be because of my rom. But anyways, I've noticed that sometimes I'd get a phone call and almost immediately it would stop and show as a missed call. It could just be caused by the person calling but I figured I'd ask and see if anyone else had the issue. In running BB v.1 with the 1ghz kernel and the baseband update. Any thoughts?
View 3 Replies View Relatedmy phone is actually new i never used it and it was shipped to me with version 1.5 with android, then i saw that there is a 2.0 version of mustymod & drakaz witch i wanted to install and try all those new functions. The first version worked great without of course the camer the wifi and so on that there were not working with this first version, then i made something very stupid and format the SD CARD and since then i cant boot/start my phone. When i try to start it it only shows "Samsung Galaxy" and nothing else.So my question is what i can do to fix this? really need help (im a niewbie)

I know there is an update coming out tomorrow with some Verizon bloatware. I don't really care about the other stuff but the Vcast app store because I want to see if they offer any decent apps that aren't on the Android Market place. Is there a way to get it without changing ROM, unrooting or changing radio?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI hate how my fb is linked to my phone. I dont like how I get all of my friends on fb as contacts. I dont need all that!! I went to people> menu> and then unselected facebook and stuff on there. So in my contact list, my fb friends contacts dont show.. GREAT!
But if I go to home screen and press phone. and if I scroll all the way to the bottom, the fb friends are all still there... How do I delete them? I long press and there is no delete contact option. I deleted all data on my phone of any fb stuff. What else can i do?
ve been having this issue ever since i flashed to the damageless 2.08 ROM. First off, i absolutely love this 2.1 Rom. It has everything i need in a phone now, but this one problem. Occasionally when i try to use the phone portion of my phone to call somebody, it will not work. By that i mean when i dial a buddys number, it will show that i am in a call with him, but i can not hear any ringing or him on the other side. (He can hear me however). This is a totally random issue, meaning that there isnt a specific time or number this happens when i call, so this makes for an irritating issue.Has anyone else experienced this? if so does anyone know of any fixes or anything?
View 16 Replies View RelatedFor some reason no matter what I do I can't seem to get my vibrate to work when I receive a text message. It used ti work until one day it just stopped. I have tried everything I could think of except doing a hard reset, which I don't really want to do. It seems to only not want to work with text messages. Phone works fine, as far as vibrate goes, and anything else that vibrates works without a problem.

I love multitasking and all but it's not clear to me why: the vast majority of apps don't have their own Exit functions and hence just keep running forever don't give you a choice about running when you turn on the phone - they just do by default Both of these things lead to memory usage constantly increasing and your device running with this performance burden all of the time despite the fact that you may only want certain apps to run some of the time.

the onluy thing i got with data is USE APN toglle(if the dta connection toggle doesnt work you can try this) not sure what it means but i want to see if that will help me to get a better battery.

1. when I plug in my headphones and then unplug it, it would start randomly playing music through the speakers.
2. dial pads dont vibrate even though it is set to vibrate in the options.
3. instead of showing my providers name it shows 302320
anyone else having the same problems? btw I already reinstalled it and it didn't help.
