I got a problem regarding android market....since i bought my x8 in UAE, android market is not available in my phone....i really want to download games and apps in android market but every time im gonna download it always says "you dont have permission to download"....i was wondering if there is another web site where in i can download games aside from android market.

I know my internet is working ok as I can access Yahoo email and the browser no problem so my connection is ok?
But the blue "shimmering" download bar is showing saying "Starting download" but after many many hours still nothing?
Then it stops and I've got to restart it again?
Any ideas on downloading free apps?
Is there any way to get rid of those friggin demo games and apps? I don't want any of those games, and I even don't want RoadSync and a lot of other preinstalled apps. I have to say that the X10 mini pro is just as cluttered with pre-installed crap ware like any Vaio computer; only there, I can just install my own Linux desktop and get rid of that stuff easily.

I've tried clearing cache and resetting the market and know i've a master reset as a last chance option but has anyone any ideas before I do this?

Here is what I do:
I select the app I want from Market and select 'Install'
Then I select 'ok'
Then a blue box reads 'Your item will be downloaded'
When I go into the Downloads section, the status bar isnt doing anything and it reads 'starting download' below it.
But nothing ever downloads or even partially downloads.
have had my mini pro for 2 days, had no problems but now it doesn't download any apps, message comes up as normal that it will be downloaded but nothing there.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone a few days ago to remove all the useless apps that the phone comes with. I basically got ride of a code reader, some stupid games, and a bunch of "trial version" applications. I just noticed now that I can't download apps from the Android Market anymore, and this is probably what caused it. Everything else on my phone still works perfectly. When I try to download an app from the Android Market, I select the app to be downloaded, press "Install", then press "OK" when it gives me the list of what the app has access to. Once I press "OK" a popup appears that says "Your Item Will be Downloaded". That's it. Nothing appears in the notification bar, and the download doesn't go at all. So I guess my question is. what would I have deleted to cause this problem? I unrooted my phone again since. Maybe a google app or something? And if so, I need the APK for it! Yeah, yeah I was an idiot, I know. Don't mention it. Here's what I've tried so far after searching this issue: - Cleared the cache and updates for all Google-related apps
