I've noticed in recent ads that the Verizon Droid and Droid Eris have to put up acknowledgement on Lucasfilm's trademark of the word "Droid", and had to pay licensing fees to use it.I'm wondering if an app I'm building that uses the word Droid in the naming is violating said trademark. I've noticed other apps that do it (Twitdroid), and never once considered it a problem.

I downloaded the free version of "Documents to go". It allows viewing of Word & Excel documents. Editing is not allowed for the free version. $24 gets the complete pkg.
I have 2 concerns - One, not sure if I'll keep this phone and not exchange it. I've already exchanged 2 times for defects. Hope this one's a keeper, but I'm scared due to 2 exchanges. 2nd concern is I'd like the most cost affective software.
Any good word processing apps in the market that might be compatible with Microsoft Word? I saw something in there for Office 2008 but it seemed like it was just like a tutorial on how to use the applications.

How do you stop the Android softkeyboard from displaying completed text in a TextView. It is very important for my application that the spelling is not shown. In 1.6 SDK I made the InputType = VisiblePassword and that seemed to stop it, however this does not appear to work in the 2.1 SDK.
I am now using a Droid Incredible after getting rid of a Windows Mobile devcie and I LOVE IT but the only thing I miss is
1) Being able to transfer Word Docs from my desktop onto my phone and use, read and edit them from my phone
2) Being able to create Documents in general, that I would normally use Word for.
If a word doc is an attachment to an email, how do I view it? I see the attachment is there, but don't know how to open it for viewing.

Also, the green/amber light doesn't come on when I'm charging my phone. It seems like when I use voice dialer, I say "Call Home" and a list of options pops up of who to call (one choice being Home) (When I wish it would have just automatically called Home), but if I use voice search it automatically does call Home.
