I am looking at upgrading to the Moment but need to find out what apps are available to create and edit Word and Excel docs. Free is great but also would be interested in feedback about paid programs.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi have found the only thing the droid is unable to do is Print. excel docs, pdf's, word docs.... have i missed something? is there an app out there that will allow you to do so?

2) When I try to locate certain rural addresses that are in my contact list (or anywhere) it is trying to chg what I type and give me a different address. For example.... 1430 Road K Town, state.... Changes it to 1430 K Street Town State.
Now this wouldn't be a big deal except when using the nav features. OUr address is like this and it can never seem to get it right.
Would be really useful if I could edit word files with my hero. Anyone know what apps are out there to use?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am new Android user and very happy with HTC Desire. However, frustrated that common Office apps not able to edit e-mailed docs, or send edited docs. Have looked at Quick Office; Documents To Go; & Office Suite Pro. Anybody know of a suitable app - this seems like a significant limitation to me. Adam

I have 2 concerns - One, not sure if I'll keep this phone and not exchange it. I've already exchanged 2 times for defects. Hope this one's a keeper, but I'm scared due to 2 exchanges. 2nd concern is I'd like the most cost affective software.
How can I save an excel or word doc that has been emailed to me?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am now using a Droid Incredible after getting rid of a Windows Mobile devcie and I LOVE IT but the only thing I miss is
1) Being able to transfer Word Docs from my desktop onto my phone and use, read and edit them from my phone
2) Being able to create Documents in general, that I would normally use Word for.
When I "attach" something to my message, it only allows me to pic from my gallery. What do I do if I want to send a resume in Word format? I can view it, but can't figure out how to send it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Documents to go this week from the market, it supports Excel and word files. With it I can download open and edit files then email them.
View 4 Replies View Relatedsometimes it's handy to open more than one word document. I have tried several apps to make this happen but unfortunately there isn't seems a way to get this done.
I have installed now 3 apps, which means I can open 3 different documents, but I don't think this is the best solution and cost much space. I use the transformer and tried several apps like quick office, officesuite and documents to go.
Anyone know if anyone work or will work to built an office suite? I think that is great if we can read and EDIT word and xls documents on our g1.

I would like to transfer some MS Office 2007 files on to the phone. I appreciate that ThinkFree Office should be able to allow access and edit the documents. As you will see in another thread I am having difficulties with Kies so thought the simpilest way would simply to email myself the .xls document for ThinkFree Office.
However, attachments simply open in code form, there is no option to download them in .xls format to the phone, so that ThinkFree can then open them and decode it.
is there a good app for this? preferably a free one. onboard 'quick office' only allows you to view.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn my project, I would like to create a database with single table. I would also like to insert data on this table from word or excel document. is it possible? if so please how can I do it? some code snippets would be of great help. I have four different activities which I would like them to interact with this single table. the first is the main activity and its purpose is just to launch the other three activities according to user choice. so it has no interaction with the DB. but the other three activities will read from the table whenever called. Can you please tell me how to call the dbhelper on these activities? I am unable to do this and I am currently creating one db per each activity which is not the optimal way.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy upgrade to 2.1 (Eris) went smoothly, except for this:
Opening Quick office gives me a message: "No files were found on your SD card"
I can see all the files such as pdf, .doc ,excel, etc via file manager and the files are ok as I took them off the phone and they work fine on my laptop.
When I try to open the files on the SD card, the following error message appears:
"android.content activitynotfoundexception: No activity found to Handle intent{act=android.intent.action. VIEW dat=file:///sdcard/downloads/name of my file
All other files on SD are fine (photos/videos). Verizon tech support did a master reset. Same result. Verizon tech left a voice message later saying they would keep trying to reach HTC.
Anybody else not able to find / view excel files on Eris? Dragged from my computer to SD card, and not finding it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhile it is possible to edit text or type in Docs to Go and QuickOffice, to get to the edit mode is a PITA. The default in Docs to Go is Zoom in or out? WTF. You have to got to menu and toggle the keyboard to be able to add or edit text.
Is there a good notepad or word processing program that defaults to keyboard input? Better yet is there one that also allows highlighting text to cut, copy or paste?
Just got my epic came from blackberry, the free Docs to go on blackberry let u edit but not create. Android won't even let you edit. Anyone know of a free app thet will let you edit word, exel docs like what the free version with blackberry let me do.
