Even though I change my FB to update every 2 hrs and Flickr to once day, when I go back to check, FB always resets back to 'once a day' and Flickr resorts back to every hour.

I have contact pictures for my contacts that I have chosen and assigned to my contacts manually and are stored as the Google contact picture, I have an issue with the facebook app when it syncs a facebook profile picture update the application forces the contacts default picture to be the facebook picture.
I don't want it to do this, it can change the facebook linked contact picture but why does it have to change the contacts default picture?? Is there some way this can be blocked or stopped from within Android contacts??
This has been prevalent since before I can remember with the facebook app and sync. Surely submitting a bug to facebook is not the solution as we SHOULD be able to control and/or lock portions of our contacts details..
I am having problems with the calender changing the days I have appointments set for. I set a b-day appointment for the 29th and was looking yesterday and it said it was set for the first. I deleted it and started over with the 29th, check this morning and it says the 1st again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOn 1.5 I used to get notifications all the time when someone uploaded new photos to flicker or changed their facebook account. Now I'm using the 2.1 leak v2 and I don't get any updates at all. What gives? I liked that feature. Any way to turn it back on?
And I do have the option set to update every 2 hours in the settings.
Ok everyone. I searched but didn't see anything quite similar so wanted to post. Do any of you know how to remove the Facebook and Flickr tabs at the bottom of the Gallery page? I've attached a screenshot.
They don't go away apparently when I remove the apk files but figured they had to be configured somewhere though it's probably compiled into the gallery app.
BTW: I know I can just uncheck the box in settings to show the tabs but I'd like to remove them completely.
If there is would you please let me know?
I have loads of photos on Flickr and Facebook and I want to set some of the photos to my contact list. When I open the facebook app, there is no way to see the photos. So I went to Albums and signed into my facebook page. I can see the photos and email them, but I cannot save them to my phone. Is the only way of doing this is going to the browser and long-clicking it to save? Is there an app which will copy them in bulk to my phone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my desire last week. When I did the initial wizard setup, I put in my Facebook id and my Flickr one as well. I remember on that first day, I was quite pleased with the Flickr app and my photos. Now, it seems to be completely gone. If I look in All Programs, it's not there. If I go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications, I can see Flickr (HTC Corporation) there in the list. If I choose it, I get the usual screen with the Clear Cache and About buttons.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI debranded and upgraded my Desire to Froyo last night (Woohoo!) and now the music player has duplicate entries for certain albums.
Basically, when I look through the albums in the list it shows some albums twice and when you select each one you get one entry which has all the right tracks and a second with maybe 2 duplicate tracks in. If I delete the extra tracks I lose them from the correct album entry so the files themselves don't seem to be doubled, only the entry in the media player.
Anybody else had this problem? I've tried deleting the offending albums and adding them using both Windows Media Player and by adding them into the relevant folders using Explorer but it makes no difference.
Is it possible to adjust the update frequency for the stock weather app on the X? Or does anyone know how often it updates? I think it is getting it's data from AccuWeather.com.

Is it a bug in the Widget? Or is it supposed to update the Widget instantly despite being set to 6 hours?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an ImageView in which the picture switches every 5s, i am trying to add a pause and resume button that can stop and restart the action. i am using a Handler, Runnable, and postDelay() for image switch, and i put the code on onResume. i am thinking about using wait and notify for the pause and resume, but that would mean creating an extra thread. so far for the thread, i have this:

The pause button seems to work, but then after that i can't press any other button, such as the resume button.
I saw a previous thread (Changing my contact card picture) where a similar question was never quite resolved. I have the same issue except that my contact card has automatically synced to my facebook and I would prefer to change to a different picture that is not my facebook profile picture. There's no option to do so under people->my contact card and if I go to a picture in my albums it only lets me set the photo for a contact that is not me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy 'accounts & sync' settings have always had 'facebook' turned off for syncing, and I have never turned it on. Yet this morning i was playing around with the bit in 'people' to try and see if the facebook bit in there worked and i would be able to link a contact in there with their facebook account. It asked me to log into facebook (after which incidentally it could not then find the contact in facebook lol). After that i went to the calendar and it now shows ALL 2500 facebook contacts birthdays!!
Please tell me there is a way to undo this. at no point did i ever select auto facebook syncing, or choose to import facebook calendar. Obviously now the calendar is pretty unusable as there are multiple bithdays on every day.
It has synced all my friends birthdays into my calendar. I want to disable this, but to still have my contacts synced. Is there a way to do this?

View 1 Replies View RelatedApologies if this has been covered in some other thread - but I couldn't find one.Just got my HTC Droid Incredible. I have my Apple Address Book set to sync with Google. I have my Droid also syncing with Google.
Issue 1) Pictures I set on my Apple contacts did not sync to Google and therefore not to my Droid either.
Issue 2) I manually loaded pictures onto my Droid then edited the contacts to use those pictures. After a bit of time (maybe one hour), the contact pictures reverted back to what Facebook has for those contacts. Is there some way to turn that syncing with Facebook off?
Issue 3) even if I wanted to use the Facebook pictures, they appear very fuzzy and cropped badly on the Droid. To the point where they are not recognizable.
