I want to develop an application containing video call, but I didn't find the interface in Android about video call. So I wonder whether Android has this API in fact, if anyone know it, please tell me.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have tried out the Fring Video calling and it works pretty well, I wanted to try the Qik solution as well, but I cannot seem to. I tried downloading the Qik app on appbrain but the Android Market cannot find it, I have messed around with the Qik app already on the phone and see nothing about video chat. the Market is not working correctly, apps such as Qik and Handcent are not accessible, hopefully they will be soon. Waiting patiently.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently i got 2 android phones by samsung. One is Samsung Galaxy i5801 Apolo and the other Samsung i5500(Galaxy 5).
Both these mobiles don't have a front camera in it. Is it possible to make a video call from these devices without a front camera?
Any options through android apps or etc?
I have done some searches, but I can't seem to find this answer. I want to do an EVO to EVO call using Fring and have video while on the call. I have read about the Swype issue and Fring but I thought I read you could do an EVO to EVO Fring video call using just Fring. However, on the test call I have a choice of the video button, but when I try and call my daughter who is set up, I don't get a video button to hit like on the test call, just the phone call button?

View 35 Replies View RelatedI'm in Canada on Bell. Does video calling work? I tried it with a guy at work with the same phone and we couldn't get it to work. Google searching didn't really turn up much. Is it just supposed to work out of the box?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAll I get is "call terminated" when I pick up and the connection is established. Tried initiating the video call from both ends (PC and EVO) with the same result. anyone?
have not tried on 4G yet since it;s dead at home (have it at the office and couple of streets down from my house - maybe I'll take a walk tonight?)
UPDATE:
-when initiating the call from the PC it rings on the phone and I only get "call terminated" when I pick it up on the EVO
- when initiating the call from the EVO it rings once and it hangs up (does not ring on the PC and I cannot answer it)
doing a restart of the EVO right now
UPDATE 2:
alright, a power off and on of the EVO did it.
I have tried to do a video call via AIM through Fring and it always gives me the message "video calling is not supported by AIM", which I know is not true because I video call on my laptop through AIM.

Is it available.. if yes, then how to do it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt doesn't have a front facing camera like Evo BUT the Fring app works perfectly and will let you do video calls with the Incredible. This is actually excellent news for me. A lot of the times I couldn't care less who sees me but I want to see them (daughter, wife, etc.). This way they can look at what I'm looking at while I see them.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI use rooted 4.3 Samsung S4. Some apps like MX player can play video when the screen is off. I want to play games of other video apps when the screen is off. For example:
1. I use Android to watch some CNN and bloomberg TV (not radio) that I want to play in the background with the screen off
2. I am playing some games which require the apps to be opened and the screen on to get some special stuff.
If you can do video calling on my htc desire.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI use the Motorola Backflip, and have been looking around for a suitable video chat app. What I'd like to do is be able to do is hold a video chat session with someone who only has access to the HTC Touch Pro 2, and a webcam enabled laptop.
I've tried Qik, but that doesn't seem to work properly on my phone. What happens is I can start recording, but if anything interrupts it at all, I won't be able to start recording again until I restart my phone.
I believe MLB at bat 2010 has video highlights (very few if there are), but that costs $15. Are there any android apps that have similar features (maybe some audio)? And is there a way I can get MLB at Bat in Canada?

When I transfer it to the SD and try to watch via the Files button in Froyo it says it can't play the video. Is there an app i can use to watch the video or do I need to be converting it differently? I believe it is in MP4 format now and I think my only other option is mkv.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMaybe this is more of an android question, not sure, but here it goes: so the incredible has 6+ gb of onboard storage, primarily for media. if i buy a micro sdhc card (say 8 gb), will the music/video player apps see both storage devices and merge all songs/videos into 1 selection screen, or is it like a real computer/os and i have to swap folders/drives? if it's the former, will it be seemless? what happens to play lists? can i have a play list that spans on-board songs and songs stored on the card?
