View 9 Replies View RelatedI have tried out the Fring Video calling and it works pretty well, I wanted to try the Qik solution as well, but I cannot seem to. I tried downloading the Qik app on appbrain but the Android Market cannot find it, I have messed around with the Qik app already on the phone and see nothing about video chat. the Market is not working correctly, apps such as Qik and Handcent are not accessible, hopefully they will be soon. Waiting patiently.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently i got 2 android phones by samsung. One is Samsung Galaxy i5801 Apolo and the other Samsung i5500(Galaxy 5).
Both these mobiles don't have a front camera in it. Is it possible to make a video call from these devices without a front camera?
Any options through android apps or etc?
I have done some searches, but I can't seem to find this answer. I want to do an EVO to EVO call using Fring and have video while on the call. I have read about the Swype issue and Fring but I thought I read you could do an EVO to EVO Fring video call using just Fring. However, on the test call I have a choice of the video button, but when I try and call my daughter who is set up, I don't get a video button to hit like on the test call, just the phone call button?
View 7 Replies View Relatedok so im trying to do a video chat with a friend. Knocking worked but you cant see eachother at the same time. its whoever knocked first....Qik didnt work...fring isnt working....granted i have the Droid X and not the front facing camera of the EVO. she has the first droid...

View 35 Replies View RelatedI'm in Canada on Bell. Does video calling work? I tried it with a guy at work with the same phone and we couldn't get it to work. Google searching didn't really turn up much. Is it just supposed to work out of the box?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAll I get is "call terminated" when I pick up and the connection is established. Tried initiating the video call from both ends (PC and EVO) with the same result. anyone?
have not tried on 4G yet since it;s dead at home (have it at the office and couple of streets down from my house - maybe I'll take a walk tonight?)
UPDATE:
-when initiating the call from the PC it rings on the phone and I only get "call terminated" when I pick it up on the EVO
- when initiating the call from the EVO it rings once and it hangs up (does not ring on the PC and I cannot answer it)
doing a restart of the EVO right now
UPDATE 2:
alright, a power off and on of the EVO did it.
I have tried to do a video call via AIM through Fring and it always gives me the message "video calling is not supported by AIM", which I know is not true because I video call on my laptop through AIM.

Is it available.. if yes, then how to do it?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt doesn't have a front facing camera like Evo BUT the Fring app works perfectly and will let you do video calls with the Incredible. This is actually excellent news for me. A lot of the times I couldn't care less who sees me but I want to see them (daughter, wife, etc.). This way they can look at what I'm looking at while I see them.
View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to hide my phone number when calling out? I came over from BlackBerry, where there is simply an option to "hide" my phone number on outgoing calls... but I can't seem to do this with my Eris. Someone once suggested that I prefix my contacts with *69... but that seems to prevent caller id from working properly, which just trades one issue for another.
If possible, I would prefer to be selective with who I do this with (it's okay for personal contacts to see my number... but it's not okay for business contacts to see my number).
If you can do video calling on my htc desire.
View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes the Desire have a front camera for video calling? I just noticed that theres no option to make a video call from my phoen book. oh dear, someone please tell me that the camera is so small that i can't see it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnyone knows how I can call a phone number that appears in the browser? iPhone used to turn those automatically to click-able links that call to the phone app, not so in Android. I've also tried to copy the number and paste it in the phone app, however, it didn't seem to work. Is there another way? Or maybe I should use another browser?
