Jealous girlfriend searches phone, deletes female contacts she doesn't like. They were facebook sync'd, and after adding one of these girls back, I can't sync her back with her facebook profile (it's not there o_O). Any way to "un-delete" the facebook contact and add her back to my contact list? (only deleted from the phone contact list, and not actual facebook, just to clarify)

I just received my EVO today and linked my facebook account to Friendstream and now all my friends (300+) were added to my contacts list on my phone. This might be a silly question but how do I delete these contacts from my list? I came from an Instinct phone and I just can't find the option to delete contacts on this phone like I did on my previous phone.

But when I tap phone, a load of people who I only chat to on Facebook are there despite not being in the contacts folder. So how do I edit what appears under "Phone" Is there away to get rid of all the contacts that Facebook imported in one go? Or a way to edit my phone directory online? I didn't know that when I set up my Facebook account it would import anyone who has a number to my Phonebook!

Now I have a crapton of Contacts.. many are just people I have emailed once in my life or some random friend of a friend from facebook. I really don't went them cluttering up my contacts list when I go to make a phone call.
I tried to unsync Contacts in both of these apps, but the contacts didn't go away. Is there some way to delete all of these?
I removed my facebook account because I didn't wane all of my friends in my contacts, but a few of them are still in my contacts and I can't delete them!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my DroidX on 7/15 and on 7/16 linked all my phone contacts who have facebook to a facebook contact via social networking. I kike how the phone sets the picture, I like that in the contact entry it shows me thier status on facebook. What I don't like is that when I open up a contac that is both a phone contact and a facebook contact and I tap the facebook icon on the contact screen I get 3 options (view profile, write on wall, and poke). If I open up a contact that is only facebook and tap that same Icon I get 4 options (view profile, message, write on wall, and poke). Is there some reason linking the facebook contact to a phone contact needs to remove that option? I'd like to be able to send a facebook message from the phone to any contact as easy as I can send a text message.

Otherwise, the contact on my phone from Facebook may be, and in many cases is, missing lots of relevant information. For example, many people don't keep their full address, or their phone number, on Facebook. If this is so, then no phone number or address is stored on my phone for the many friends who got in my contact list via the Facebook Motoblur magic. I can update these manually, via the phone screen-keyboard, but I would like to use the much easier-to-access PC to gmail user interface. I opened the FB app from my Rezound (ICS) and looked at the settings. The "Sync Contacts" option is set to "Don't sync"
Then I looked in the Android Settings --->Accounts&sync--->facebook where there are three boxes, sync calendar, sync contacts, and sync live feed. I made sure all those boxes are unchecked.
I figured I'd just try deleting FB from my Rezound but it seems to be undeletable if that's a word. It's like standard bloatware that I actually use on occasion.
So why are my FB contacts still merged with my Google contacts? I am seeing my contacts with their FB photo and this drives me crazy. I don't want FB communicating with my address book. Gingerbread didn't do this.
I am using 2.3.5 android and my contacts are in google contacts. I have also added my facebook account and some contacts are synced between both accounts.I use titanium backup pro for my backups but I cannot restore the linked synced (after some reboots, the stop being synced)
Is there anyway to make and restore a backup if the sync contacts information) using titanium backup pro or other app?
Am I the only one having this problem? I purchased my samsung epic a week ago and every since I've been getting the message that my facebook contacts is unable to syn at the moment an error of some sort,and too try later.WTH? My facebook calender syncs but not the contacts.I thought that it was th phone so I took it back to the sprint store they restarted my hard drive but it still didn't work,thy sent me to the repair center at another store and the general manager told me to go back and tell them to replace the phone and that I shouldn't be having issues so soon. Well I did that,they gave me a new phone and guess what.yep u guessed it,still the same issue.I went back to the repair center they played with it for 2 straight hours while I waited impatiently and still I walked away with the same problem. What the heck and I suppose to do now?

Like friends girlfriends, chicks you hooked up with years ago, etc, that if you delete they will talk a bunch of trash about. I just got my Sprint HTC Hero Android phone and I noticed that it comes preloaded with FACEBOOK. While I know that most people would consider that great, I don't. After searching, I found that I can unsync them in my 'all' contacts list etc, but they are still showing up when I push 'PHONE' at the bottom of the home screen. They are behind the dialer. Is there anyway to set that screen to show recently dialed numbers or favorites or something?

This is strange, as they all say phone contacts (thus aren't sim or google contacts or anything), but on view settings, it says I have 300 or so contacts which is how many I have if they were NOT duplicated. I have tried restarting my phone. For some reason, it shows fine then when it loads fully, the duplicates are back. I also noticed that only contacts synced with Facebook seemed to be duplicated, though not all synced are duplicated. I have attempted deleting one of two of a same contact, but this resulted in the other entry being deleted too.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a weird problem. Some of my ex-wife's friends are still listed in my phone list. I have deleted them from "People" (there is no contacts app on my Droid Eris.) I have deleted them from my Gmail account. And I have unfriended them on Facebook. My sympathetic daughter showed me that I could simply hold the contact listing until it opened to edit. Then press menu and then choose delete. And that works just fine--for any contact except those who were friends with the Ex!! Yeah really funny to me too! Since I don't have the most finesse with the touch screen (I'm an old-school full computer keyboard guy) sometimes it is easy to accidentally dial one of these people of whom I have zero desire to talk to. I know computers and know there is an answer somewhere. Glad if one of you could help me find this answer.
