Does anyone know how to delete Facebook from the Incredible? I tried through applications and it would not let me delete. I went to Astro files and it allowed me the option to delete but read that the deletion was not successful. Can't even delete the icon.

I set up HTC sync and Facebook and all that jazz. However, there are a few people in my Facebook Contacts list that I don't really want to have in my contacts list.
I don't dislike them to the point where I'd want to un-friend them on facebook, but I don't really want their number to be in my phone.
Does anybody know any way to delete a single facebook contact from your phone? Click and hold doesn't work, going to their "people" tab doesn't work, I can't figure it out...

Now I have a crapton of Contacts.. many are just people I have emailed once in my life or some random friend of a friend from facebook. I really don't went them cluttering up my contacts list when I go to make a phone call.
I tried to unsync Contacts in both of these apps, but the contacts didn't go away. Is there some way to delete all of these?
Everything was fine (since 4/28) until yesterday....all of a sudden, there is a notification in the status bar for 2 new voice mails- I am, and have always used google voice for my voicemail - the notificaiton says to call my gv number, which is unusual, because it usually says that one of my contacts left a voicemail - anyhow, I have no new gv messages - went online and deleted all of them, also powered on and off the phone, even removed the check mark in settings to notify in the status bar......can't get rid of this this notification....there is no "clear" option, as you usually get when checking notifications from the menu button
Even calling my gv number manually, entering my pin, and hearing "you have no new messages" doesn't remove the notification from the status bar....this is very weird. Anyone else exp something like this from gv ?
It's pretty annoying when I click phone at the bottom and see a bunch of friends from facebook that I dont talk to on the phone but on facebook in my phone book. I tried figuring out how to erase all facebook contacts from my phonebook but I couldn't.
What I did notice what I did what I liked that it did link a lot of people from my facebook to current contacts with images. But I'll have to do this manually.
Is there anyway to delete "Facebook Friends" from current phonebook? The only way I know how NOT to see facebook friends in your phone book is if you just go to people and don't click on Phone at the home screen which I always do...
I finally found a way to erase the market search history and I thought I'd share with you all. Just download the free app "History Eraser". Install, select "google apps" then clear market search histories. All nice and clean after!

I want to go back to 2.1, but when I go to settings>SD & phone storage>Factory data reset it gives the warning that it will NOT erase: Current system software and bundled applications. Does this mean that the update 2.2 will still be on the phone, or does it goes back to 2.1?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've got problem with Facebook icon on Miui. I see default Facebook icon using any theme (mtz). I'm sure there is the correct icon in package: it's named as "com.facebook.katana". I can see custom one in Applications under Settings menu, but launcher does not show it.
It's the only one app without cutom icon on launcher. Is there any solution?
Actually it's SGS2's MIUI-2.8.17, but I had the same problem on previous release.
Every other app I use only uses GPS when the actual app is open. Pretty irritating how Facebook has GPS always on.
Any way to change this? I opened Settings in the App, turned "Message Location service" off. That did nothing.
I don't mind Facebook using GPS, but can I change it so it only uses it while the App is actually open? LS670
How do you delete and completely remove the preinstalled FACEBOOK Application from a HTC Hero Android phone? I just got my Sprint HTC Hero Android phone and I noticed that it comes preloaded with FACEBOOK. While I know that most people would consider that great, I don't. Do to my job, I am prohibited from using FACEBOOK or MYSPACE and therefore, would have absolutly no use for the application. Please let me know how I can safely delete it so that I can free up memory on my HTC Hero.

AppBrain told me to upgrade it (HTC version), and upgraded to market version. Is there a difference? Should I care? Is there a way to undo what I have done? Their contact picture has been replaced by another blurry pixellated picture.
Further to this, I notice that the actual contact picture in Facebook for HTC Sense is borked and pixellated. Anyone seen anything like this before?
Is there a way to remove it?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've found some other threads discussing the fact that the default shortcut for Facebook is actually just a shortcut to a browser bookmark for Facebook. If you delete this shortcut, you can re-create it, but it has a boring red flag icon. With a custom bookmark app, you could restore this original icon... but only if you know where to find it. Where is that icon stored? It has to be somewhere on the root of the phone. Using root explorer, I can't find it. I'm guessing it's stored inside of an archive somewhere. Any ways to search more thoroughly?
Related: can I somehow use my PC (Windows explorer) to browse the root of the phone?
Or, can I find it somewhere in the original .tar file containing the flash update for the phone?

Right, here goes. I've got all the contacts I want in my contacts folder. Some of them are linked to their facebook accounts which I like. But when I tap phone, a load of people who I only chat to on Facebook are there despite not being in the contacts folder. So how do I edit what appears under "Phone" Is there away to get rid of all the contacts that Facebook imported in one go? Or a way to edit my phone directory online? I didn't know that when I set up my Facebook account it would import anyone who has a number to my Phonebook!

a bit of a learning curve as u can see, and going from a physical QWERTY to a touch screen is difficult. Got some ROMs installed and definitely more apps, but pretty much similar to what i had on my BB...
I've deleted Facebook but I've still got thousands of phone numbers of Facebook users. The strange thing is these numbers are NOT in my contacts, I click "phone" and all the Facebook numbers are there.
How do I delete them ? I've opened the case sensitive menu and options and none of them give me the option to delete. I've tried clearing data from all my Facebook apps.
