1. What exactly is "freezing" an app? Will it remove the app from the app drawer? Will it just prevent it from running?
2. Can I use Titanium backup to delete apps that are safe for delete like amazon.mp3, etc?
3. If I "freeze" an app like backup assistant will it still be on the phone so that it doesn't brick if I do a reset?
4. Can I delete or freeze things like crap ringtones so they don't show up when I am setting a ringtone?

Aug 5, 2010I'm sure this isn't news to any of you veterans, but this is my first android device so please bare with me. I'm using the facebook app and have noticed that neither the app itself or the widget show the actual facebook live feed or provide a way to access it....
Of course my next thought was "well what if I just use the facebook page in a browser window". Turns out that's not as simple as I thought! Apparently facebook not only has a mobile page, it also has a "touch" page that it likes to route you to. Neither the mobile or the touch facebook pages have a way to access the live feed either....

It wont show in the people contact but if you use the home tab (on phone) the list there shows the facbook person but not in people contact? They were facebook sync'd, and after adding one of these girls back, I can't sync her back with her facebook profile (it's not there o_O). May 14, 2010I set up HTC sync and Facebook and all that jazz. However, there are a few people in my Facebook Contacts list that I don't really want to have in my contacts list.
I don't dislike them to the point where I'd want to un-friend them on facebook, but I don't really want their number to be in my phone.
Does anybody know any way to delete a single facebook contact from your phone? Click and hold doesn't work, going to their "people" tab doesn't work, I can't figure it out...

Oct 28, 2010Right, here goes. I've got all the contacts I want in my contacts folder. Some of them are linked to their facebook accounts which I like. But when I tap phone, a load of people who I only chat to on Facebook are there despite not being in the contacts folder. So how do I edit what appears under "Phone" Is there away to get rid of all the contacts that Facebook imported in one go? Or a way to edit my phone directory online? I didn't know that when I set up my Facebook account it would import anyone who has a number to my Phonebook!

Dec 23, 2011i switched from a BB (6 years on and off) to an android device (SGS2 LTE on Rogers)and i have some things i would like to ask to make easier ; >
1) Why doesn't Gmail give you a count of how many new message there are? how do i get this option?
2) is there a mark all read option in (gmail, yahoo mail, facebook,)
3) is there a delete message option in Facebook?
4) is there a sound profiles setting or a good app out there that can set different sound profiles for different situations (i.e. work, home, silent, vibrate etc) found an app just now called simple profiles.. seems to work okay..
5) SGS2 doesn't have LED, but it's not a question ; >
6) how do you get more then one gmail, yahoo icon for different acconts and label them instead of it saying "Gmail" or "Yahoo".
7) how do i see comments that were posted to pictures in facebook? when i get a notification that i have a comment i click on the alert and it just takes me to the picture.. i cannot see the comments anywhere..
a bit of a learning curve as u can see, and going from a physical QWERTY to a touch screen is difficult. Got some ROMs installed and definitely more apps, but pretty much similar to what i had on my BB...
General :: Delete Facebook Phone Numbers?
Nov 26, 2013I've deleted Facebook but I've still got thousands of phone numbers of Facebook users. The strange thing is these numbers are NOT in my contacts, I click "phone" and all the Facebook numbers are there.
How do I delete them ? I've opened the case sensitive menu and options and none of them give me the option to delete. I've tried clearing data from all my Facebook apps.

Oct 5, 2010I had to clear my contact data the other day from settings/applications/manage applications/contacts storage to cure a google mail account sync problem. It worked and the phone now syncs fine. But, I now have duplicates of all facebook events in all my calendars. Can I safely delete the data in settings/applications/manage applications/Facebook for HTC Sense? do you think if I did that that it would sort the problem? Would this cause issues with my contacts, as some are linked to Facebook friends, or would this sort its self out when it re-synced?

Now I have a crapton of Contacts.. many are just people I have emailed once in my life or some random friend of a friend from facebook. I really don't went them cluttering up my contacts list when I go to make a phone call.
I tried to unsync Contacts in both of these apps, but the contacts didn't go away. Is there some way to delete all of these?

Aug 11, 2010I have Google and Facebook events show on my EVO's calendar. Since I keep a tight FB friends list, I don't mind the b-days showing. However, I said I'd be attending an online event from a FB contact that was set up as a daily thing for 7 hours and as a result, I've got it spamming my calendar view with four months worth of meetings. I went to FB and removed the event from my list there and went to the event page and said I wouldn't be attending, but even when I force sync the calendar, it's still showing up. Only turning off FB calendars entirely removes it, but the birthdays go with the bathwater. Is there any way to clear this that I'm overlooking?

Apr 3, 2010I got this one email that I cannot get rid of. Someone sent me an email on Facebook that also showed up in my Inbox for my Comcast email account and I cannot get rid of THAT email! I have gotten and deleted up to 200-300 emails since then from facebook and that stupid email remains in my inbox! When I try to click on and open the troubled email, my stock email on the phone force closes! I cleared the cache, thinking that was part of the problem and that did nothing for me. The email was a notification for an event. I was able to delete it on my facebook account and its not showing up anywhere else but on my phone's email account. Its kinda like it IS deleted but for some weird reason its still showing up.
