I am a new andriod user ( mytouch slide) and I downloaded Jorte because I read that it will not only sync with google calendar but also google taks. The calendar is syncing just fine but the taks are not syncing.

I currently have an iphone 3g and am going to be switching to an android device. I use google maps quite a bit on my iphone and over the past couple years I have accumulated a lot of bookmarked locations that I have saved on my phone. My question is, is there a way to sync all the locations I have saved on my iphone to my new phone? Or am I going to have to add all the bookmarked locations manually?

If I add a number on my google email and sync my phone the number is there immediately, but if the number is added on my phone google does not get it in gmail. What can I do to fix this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI currently have phone pulling down all my Google contacts that generally consist of name smile and number.The incredible also links these contacts with my Facebook and so adds info to these contacts such as additional numbers,birthdays etc etc.What I want is this additional contact info now on my phone to uploaded to Google.For example I have a Google calendar with peoples birthdays on it and I would like it to have all my contacts birthdays from favebook.I would have imagined this should happen automatically but alas it is not so.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI'm new to Android, having moved from Nokia this last week. I've added my email accounts - Gmail & Exchange, but now I've got 3 calendars. I know they all display on my mobile, and I get alerts for them all, but I'd ideally like my phone to sync all the calendars with eachother. So when I look on Outlook, I see my phone and Google calendar, and when I look on Gmail, I see my Outlook and Phone calendars etc. This would seem to be a fairly simple thing to do - just to 'link' the calendars in a similar way to linking the phone/Google/Facebook contacts. Any way to do this without involving any PC apps etc.?

View 1 Replies View RelatedBeing new to Android with the Captivate, I didn't really understand how the syncing with outlook would work. This is what works for me.
1. I keep all my contacts, calendar, and appts. on Outlook on my home PC, so I downloaded the Google Calendar Sync that runs in my system tray.
2. I logged into the Google account and clicked on having Outlook being the main and moving info to Google. I then set the minutes to 10 between syncing.
3. The app will then upload calendar, contacts, and tasks to Google (I only had Yahoo before).
4. My phone settings has Google set to automatically update, after a few more minutes, you will see all the uploaded information sync to your phone.
5. If I am not home, and I now have my Google Calendar Sync set to 120 minutes and that both website and Outlook are combined. I can then enter something on my phone, new contact, or whatever and when I get home it is sitting in my outlook.
Its not reinventing the wheel by any means. But I really struggled on the learning curve so if this helps someone knew great.
I cannot remember where you can change the setting so your phone will not sync with your entire gmail contact list.

I do have internet connectivity either on 3G or wifi. I can browse, use weather, Ross and news etc. just when I go in menu-settings-sync and press sync ... nothing happens

I have use my google music all the time but it does not sync or update on my phone. i tried manually going into accounts and settings and gone under my google account but there is no sync music option. plus i have gone into the gmusics app and tried hitting refresh but still no good... View 1 Replies View RelatedI have searched but I wanted to ask specific to DX to make sure I wasn't missing something simple. Google Contact Groups don't appear in my contacts on the DX regardless of sync. One of the group names I created did transfer over and Organization name.
I cannot sort the contracts by group on my phone. I either have all or none. Did I do something wrong (most likely yes, this was much easier in the BB world)? Am I missing a step, this appears to be a problem on all Android OS. So do I need an app to fix this?
This is a weird problem but when my calendar syncs it syncs all the events but they are all several hours later than they are on my Google Calendar on my computer. I'm looking at my phone and my computer right now, and all the events are here except all events on my phone are pushed back. Any ideas?

Now I'm thinking about rooting it and upgrading it to Android 2.2 or 2.3. All the stuff is stored in the phone's memory. I'd like to synchronize my contacts and calendar events to Google - tried few tricks but still without any result.
It looks like it's not possible to sync contacts which weren't stored as Google Contacts. I need to do the same with my calendar events.
I would really like to keep my data stored in the phone's memory as well as on Google. So I'm looking for sync option. If this is not possible then I'll need to get used to store everything just on Google but first I need to import my data there as well.
How do you sync your data or what solution do you use and why?
Had my phone on standby for 10 hours and it lost 30 percent battery life.......... had WiFi gps Bluetooth auto syncing off and used advanced task killer before putting it in standby! is that normal?
View 9 Replies View RelatedRecent switcher to Android and owner of brand new Galaxy S4 here. I have two separate Gmail accounts, one for work and one for home. Each has its own Google Calendar. Both accounts are linked to my phone.
However, I want separate apps on my GS4 to handle each Google calendar. My phone came with S Planner and I have added Google Calendar App (GCA) from the Play store.
On S Planner I choose to display the home account calendar - no problems so far. I then switch to GCA and choose to display the work account calendar. Great. However, and this is my problem, these apps now seem to be 'linked', such that when I then go back into S Planner from GCA it is now displaying the work account calendar instead of the home calendar.
In other words, changes in one app seem to be mirrored in the other app. Is there any way around this, so that each app only displays one account calendar?
I have a Nexus 4 and Nexus 7.I am trying to sync all my Google Drive photos with my Google + account. In Google + I have checked the box to allow Google Drive to sync with Google Drive. Most of the pictures show up in Google + without a problem. Some however, do not. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to this either. All of my photo folders. It doesn't seem to be related to one format or another. (Ex. One JPG file is there and another isn't)

So the women asked questions, do u use Wifi...NEVER, don't even turn it on. Brightness? It's 1/8th of the way on to full brightness, Task manager?No Google said not to use one..So she wouldn't send me a battery because she said that its because I don't use a task manager.I was telling her Google had advised us not to and she said, that's false that Google has approved them to put task managers on people's phones who are having battery problems.(I don't believe that)I looked around Google and could only find it from joe-shomes but couldn't find a statement from Google. View 6 Replies View RelatedI love my new Android phone, and I am able to sync my songs/podcasts just fine using Easy Phone Tunes.
But I really liked that my iPod/iPhone would sync perfectly with my podcasts. If I played 15 minutes of the Dave Ramsey show on my iPhone, and then connected it to my computer, then I could continue the show on my computer. Additionally, after I connected my iPhone to the computer, I knew which podcasts to delete as it would show them as "played".
Is there a way to accomplish this with the Android phone? I am willing to give up on iTunes to make this happen. I am still using a Mac though.
I'm receiving a few emails per week with complain that my widget stopped working. In all cases when we do investigation the cause is some kind of task killer. What is worse that not everybody contacts me by email bug gives bad rating even if my application is not working incorrectly. I made remedy: wrote it to documentation (http://android.hubalek.net), wrote it to application main screen and wrote it do application description but people either don't know what exactly task killers do and how they work or just don't read doc.I think that Google should prohibit all task killers as they are malicious and are breaking other apps.
View 17 Replies View RelatedAccording to what I've read (and the warnings you get during installation), the Google Finance app is supposed to pull your portfolio down from the web version of Google Finance. I have my gmail setup (and it works) and my portfolio is under that same username. Nothing gets pulled down though. Any ideas why? I uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing. I just get a screen under portfolios that lets me add stocks by clicking a button.
View 3 Replies View RelatedCan someone more up to speed and deeply into Android than me please enlighten me as to why, when Android is a Google OS, and presumably the inbuilt browser app is therefore a Google app, that Google bookmarks are not synchronised like google contacts, google mail and google calendar.
I have had an Android phone since G1 and had a Desire for almost a year and have always been waiting for Google bookmark sync.
There seem to be apps that will pull in google bookmarks into the browser, but that is of limited use. I want to bookmark something on my phone and have it available in iGoogle on my mac or my work PC. It's really not hard and can't for the life of me fathom why Android doesn't do this out of the box.
For the past few days, the Data Sync symbol is in the status bar constantly. When I go to Menu>Settings>Accounts and Sync>Google>Sync Contacts, the Syncing symbol is rotating and every 10 seconds or so at the bottom of the screen I will get a red excalamation point and note that states "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly." I then cancel sync. What is going on? The one thing I can say is that constantly trying to sync drains battery life VERY quickly!

My problem is that when my phone syncs with my Google Calendar, events that aren't on my Google Cal sometimes show up on my phone's calendar. The events that are showing up are events that repeat on a weekly basis but I deleted them for certain weeks on my Google Cal, yet they still show up on my phone. This is starting to become a hassle because I keep thinking that I have to do things when I really don't. I've already cleared the calendar data on my phone and restarted like the Google troubleshooting tips say, but that didn't work.

So I go to settings-accounts-Gmail- and it only gives me the option to sync contacts and gmail, not the calendar. How do I add in the calendar so that I can sync it? I only have the one Gmail account. My friend thinks I may have to remove the gmail account then add it back in, but doing so means I would have to restore factory settings and everything would be deleted. I would hate to have to restore the factory settings.
