Is there a task list app that will sync my task lists on my google calendar with the app on my device?Im just finding Astrid pretty glitchy. It doesn't do the reminders properly and doesn't sync with my google account.

Is there an app for choosing which apps you want to use that are already open or whatever. Or is there a button you can press to bring up a task list like you do with you blackberry when u hold the blackberry key and the list of open apps comes out.

I am looking for an organiser with repeating tasks so I can set my tasks I need to do everyday to repeat and still be able to add one off tasks to the same day. Does anyone know of an app to do this?
I had an app on my old phone that automatically popped up a list of things i wanted to do everyday and then I added anything extra for the day. Then as i completed them it removed them for the current days to do list but kept it repeating in the next days list etc...
I have been looking for a good task list app that has the seemingly basic feature of an end date for recurring tasks. I want to be able to set up a task to begin on Monday 2/10/14 and run through Friday 2/14/14. I have tried Todoist, Wunderlist, any.do, TickTick and maybe another I can't think of and none of them do this. I would like something that is as full featured as the ones I tried, but with the simple function of an end date.

View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst off let me tell you what I have done. I've turned off Wifi, 4G, email updates when I check it. I turn off internet and the other "data to apps" setting. I lowered the brightness. Turned off GPS and Bluetooth.
As of now I'm doing the plugging in charger, unplugging trick several times...to see if that helps. (I must admit it's stupid that I even have to try this)
So, here are my questions:
1. How to I add apps to the ignore list for advanced task killer? I go to the ignore section and it's just a black screen. I don't know how to add apps.
2.What exactly is the CDMA" thing? I know what to do (I've seen the link)...but I don't know WHAT it does. Will it effect my ability on the phone?
3. What exactly is Google Talk...and how do I get rid of it(if it takes a lot of battery power) I noticed that if I hold the "finder" button and talk I can search on google! Really cool! If I turn off google talk is that feature gone? Also...how do I turn off google talk? (I could find it...but I consider this my "lazy" question".
if I remove all these it clears up to 400mb of ram. what benefit is there to leave all the recent apps there? is th3 phone chewing through more battery to use the 1.2gb of ram vs 800mb?

View 9 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone have a statement released from Google or someone within Google telling the consumers to avoid Task Managers on Android devices.I went into VZW, trying to get an additional battery (usually if u complain they send u an additional battery) because I'm getting 5-7 hours out of my battery even when I'm careful and try to stretch my battery. So the women asked questions, do u use Wifi...NEVER, don't even turn it on. Brightness? It's 1/8th of the way on to full brightness, Task manager?No Google said not to use one..So she wouldn't send me a battery because she said that its because I don't use a task manager.I was telling her Google had advised us not to and she said, that's false that Google has approved them to put task managers on people's phones who are having battery problems.(I don't believe that)I looked around Google and could only find it from joe-shomes but couldn't find a statement from Google. View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm receiving a few emails per week with complain that my widget stopped working. In all cases when we do investigation the cause is some kind of task killer. What is worse that not everybody contacts me by email bug gives bad rating even if my application is not working incorrectly. I made remedy: wrote it to documentation (http://android.hubalek.net), wrote it to application main screen and wrote it do application description but people either don't know what exactly task killers do and how they work or just don't read doc.I think that Google should prohibit all task killers as they are malicious and are breaking other apps.

I can attach the swipe up from the bottom to use AutoVoice rather than Google Now , but I cannot figure out how to make the phrase "OK Google" use AutoVoice.
I read that on the Moto X you can use Tasker to watch for the "Touchless Control" App to become active, and then kill it and start AutoVoice. But the Nexus 5 doesn't have the Touchless Control App, In fact I don't know what process or App is actually listening for the "OK Google" phrase on the Nexus 5.
I have a Samsung Galaxy phone & Asus TF700 Tablet. I'm looking for a task app that will communicate with Google Now. I use Google Now a lot especially since it brings up my appointments. It works great.
I currently use GTasks and it works well. I've looked into Wunderlist, RTM, Any.Do and a host of others.
I'm writing an android program for adding task and deleting task in listview. I've add an onClickListener to the delete button so it can delete the task. However I was told I should not have the listener in the adapter violating mvc. how I can remove a task in my TaskListItem class. I got the method removeTask() in the adapter, but don't how I can use it in the TaskListItem class.

Automatic task killer, advanced task killer, or something else?
View 18 Replies View RelatedI've been using Task Panel X and Advanced Task manager to kill unneeded tasks and keep memory at a maximum.
Recently, every time I open Task Panel X and then revert back to Home screen I get the HTC logo and then a loading screen while the device sets itself. This happens even if I kill NO tasks.
So my solution was to uninstall Task Panel X and then use just Advanced Task Manager. All the sudden, same result.
Everytime I open either of these apps and then go back to home screen I get a BLACK SCREEN WITH HTC LOGO, THEN A BRIEF (10 SECONDS) LOADING SCREEN. THEN ALL IS NORMAL.
if i want to go to the Google, just click the "Google" of the list, but it just active when i click on the word "Google" because i wish can click anywhere if it's click on the same raw of "Google" word but now i must click on the "word"(Google or Yahoo!), how can solve??

One thing I can't seem to find so far is a list of everything Google offers in the Market - apps, widgets, etc. Searching "Google, Inc." in the Market will bring a lot of non Google apps in between and it doesn't seem to load Google's apps first. Is their a website that has a definitive list of Google, Inc.'s offerings in the Market?

3. when you look at the awake time if it is like 70% or 80% and you aren't using the phone a bunch I take it that means something is running,how can you find what is running.and is the awake time that big of deal?
Looking for a guide on how to use task killer. I had task killer on and deleted it. I think I was killing tasks that were needed to keep certain functions running that I use frequently. If someone would take the time to help me understand how to use one, I think I would be much more successful with it.
example - text messaging just stopped ( werrent receiving them ) . Once I took task killer off, everything started working again.
I'm aiming to develop an application on Android 1.5 that is required at one point to list all contacts and display the type of contact ie SIM, Phone or Google. I can easily list all the contacts by using Cursor curAllContacts = getContentResolver().query(People.CONTENT_URI, null, null, null, null); And looping through the cursor and I can use code like the sample below to get fields of data.My question is, is there any field in the people table or a related table that holds a value to define where the contact came from (SIM, Phone or Google)?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyway, I just wanted for everyone to post their favorite Task Manager/Killer, and why, and if there are any flaws. I personally use Advanced Task Killer Free. It has a simple UI, and the when you select or unselect apps it remebers it so next time you launch the app you can only remove the apps that you usually do, and keep ones that always run. It doesn't slow down or break the system.

I have had the phone for 3 days and have had my Google Voice acct for over a year with never an issue with it. This morning, the only change I made to my Android phone was adding
an app from the app store called "Facebook Touch". About 2 hours later, I learned that every contact on my Google Voice contact list, which I did a sync with on my phone, got SPAM
with the same SPAM - It was texted out to everyone, here was the message -

I can't imagine that it could not have come from the phone. Maybe from that Facebook Touch app as that application had a lot of SPAM just within the application itself (its not deleted).
