Can I change my operating system from windows ce6 To Android?? And how??
I am having issues with my application when a user gets a system update (for example from 2.1 to 2.2). i am wondering how I can reproduce this experience on a phone (Nexus One). does this involve rooting the phone and then applying a system update? I need the update to look as though it came from the system. In other words, I can't take a full ROM image, because then I think I would lose my application being installed between upgrades.

I am not sure what if any difference between Chrome and Android and how this will affect the likes of Microsoft and Apple. I believe that you can now download the complete Chrome operating system and install it on our laptops etc. See this link Google Android OS Now Available For Download. What are your thoughts on google operating systems.

I tried using Step 2 Option A, since I don't have Windows on any computer I own or have access to. I get to the following part before it doesn't work properly:

In the emulator, the program behaves like it should. However, when I put this application on my phone (Nexus one), it doesn't switch to the new Activity when I touch the screen after I take a picture. If I touch the screen without taking a picture, it switches to the new activity. I can't figure out why my phone won't switch to the new Activity after taking a picture.
I want to do the function of switch windows, like the browsers do now, eg: when i open a web1 and web2,i can use the "Window" function in the "menu" button.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to compile and run the C/C++ program on the Android phone program (like G1).
For example, I write a "Hello World.c" program, then compile and run it on my Android phone system.
I have never used MinGW to run my code on my Windows system, so I also want to do it on the Android phone system.
I have created an simple game on Windows (7). The game is great but I think it will be better on a smartphone / tablet.
Now my question. Is it possible to port my game from Windows to Android or do I have to program it from scratch new? It would be also ok if I can use parts of my code on Android. I have a basic knowledge on android-programing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFollowing the big guide and I am at the nanroid backup stage in the recovery utility. I've got
Android system recovery utility
Use trackball to highlight, click to select.
Options:
Reboot system now [home+back]
Apply sdcard:update.zip [alt+s]
Wipe data/factory reset [alt+w]
Then at the bottom it says
E: Cant open /cache/recovery/command
Thats the full screen, nothing about backup/restore
Is there anything out there that cleans up all the old leftover files from uninstalled apps? I've seen a bunch of folders for things that I know I removed already, but don't know if all the empty folders I see are OK to delete. Just looking to keep things clean.

is it possible to Build System apps like Contacts on Windows?

Is there a Possiblity to make it work on Windows?
A long time ago I had edited a file that is read on boot, in that file is written which one of the two 'partition' has to be mounted as what.
Basically, my 32GB microsd is seen as the internal memory of the device (which would be 12 GB), and the other one as micro sd. The result is that most application would go to the microsd by default, using thus 32GB for apps instead of 12GB.
This is because my microsd is failing. Changed with a new one, and now it is failing again. I suppose my phone has become a 'micro sd destroyer'. Cannot do anything about it, so better to use the internal memory instead of the card for main use..... So how do I switch back to normal mounting (micro sd as micro sd and internal memory as internal memory and not switched up) ?
