Android :: Some Apps Not Working

I have a motorola droid and the 3D gallery just stopped working for no reason. every time I want to look at my pictures, a window pops up that says the app has stopped working and i have to force close it. A few days after that, my wallpapers stopped working too. I cannot access the wallpaper gallery at all...its just stuck on one of the non-live backgrounds I had a long time ago. Also, some of the other apps screw up sometimes for no reason. like when i want to open text messaging, it takes me to maps.

My phone is Nexus one, Android 2.2
Starting from few days ago, I find that my browser (Both the build in "Browser" and "Dolphin HD") is not working.
When I open these Apps, it shows the App screen. Then I saw it trying to load the website, after a while (1 - 2 seconds), the Apps just terminated and back to the phone's main screen.
If I turn off WIFI and 3G (means makes no connection to outside), both browser Apps can show a "website not available" page without terminate themselves automatically. But then if I keep the browser screen and activate the WIFI/3G again, and try to type a URL and go, the browser terminate again......

I've just updated my nexus one to 2.2. Now all of my (own and some from the market) apps throw exceptions and were closed.
It's weird, in the app I'm developing atm, there it displays only my start page with buttons, but when I tap on one button to fire an intent to another activity my app gets closed with an exception.
Yesterday before the update everything worked fine.
The same thing in my emulator:
I have two devices, one with API level 7 and one with level 8. Level 7 worked fine, but level 8 killed my app :
What is the problem and how can I solve this? I'm desperatly trying to get it working again :

I just bought a new HTC Hero and I own a Vodafone card with gprs enabled...Although the browser works fine over gprs none of the apps seem to work...The apps work fine over WiFi...

I just got the 1.6 download and found out my ADC2 app is not working anymore. Works fine on 1.5 but people with 1.6 can't log in. Guess that explains the sudden drop in new accounts being created (We got around 70 testers before numbers plummeted to 5 to 6 over the weekend). :( If Google planned to release 1.6 in the middle of a contest, they should have informed developers and given them the tools to test their app on this platform. We spent months on creating a high quality app for this contest and now people can't even judge it! There are probably hundreds of other developers that spent sleepless nights working their butt off to finish before the deadline just to have their chances decimated by google. All I can say is that I'm extremely disappointed in the way Google has handled this entire contest and I think it is extremely unfair and inconsiderate the way they are treating developers that they are supposed to be attracting to the Android platform.

I see threads about apps not working and that it is sluggish since the Froyo update. We have to realize that developers have to update their apps for Froyo. Some people saying third party browsers aren't as smooth. Again they have to update their app for the uniqueness of EVO. We have to realize that the EVO has HTC sense and its tricky to develop around.

I have tried to figure out a way of exposing(sharing) data between a master application and slave application in a secure way (not world readable), but couldn't find clues on how to do that practically. Of course, reading articles outline that ContentProviders are for sharing persistent data, but I can't find a working example, nor the information how to setup/implement two working piece of software that can work together as different apps.The data I share is simple - ID & Data.If there's anyone that already achieved this already,

When it comes to smart phones and flashing. I recently got a HTC Evo and had it flashed to be on metro pcs to try and save a little cash on the bill. Well I think I am learning you get what you pay for. I am hoping I can get some tips or tricks from this forum. My phone will not run any apps really. It wont connect to facebook or the app store or google maps and youtube. Basicly all the social apps dont work. However if I connect it to WIFI it will run it them. Is it cause metros data service sucks.

Recently i have installed ICS on my Xperia x8(10W12 ), and so too the android apps, I installed Google Play 4.1.4, i searched for some common apps like temple run 2, OZ, and subway surfers, but i was unable to find those apps. i googled for those apps and downloaded the .apk files, i transferd them via datacable and installed the .apk file on my phone, when i run my apps, i get the msg"Unfortunatly temple run OZ has stopped", is there any way to fix that thing...

I have installed Jaggyrom 3 on my HTC explorer, sometimes my phone freezes and as per the post in XDA, I have installed cranium kernel 3.
Since then I am unable to move any apps to sd card. Its saying "Unable to move, system error". The only reason I rooted my phone is to install apps I like, if this is not happening then I am in a real loss.
Can I install the jaggyrom 3 with the "Freeze phone".

The prediction mode on the keyboard only seems to work in certain apps. It's definitely switched on and works fine when writing a text message or email, however it doesn't work when in the internet browser (e.g. when using google search) or when typing in the search box in the Android Market.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? It's really annoying! I have the latest firmware and haven't modified it, etc.

Since the HTC Tattoo doesn't support all the applications that are made for Android, I was thinking we could make a list, showing wich apps are working, and who isn't.

I recently swapped my iPhone 3GS for a Moto G and immediately upgraded it to KitKat. Since then I've been facing a variety of problems. Firstly, my camera would intermittently stop working and give the 'Camera Error' message. This was subsequently fixed by Moto when they released an update.
But another problem has been everpresent right from the start. Over my home WiFi, a number of apps requiring Google Sign in fail to work! These are :
1. Play Store
2. Facebook
3. YouTube
4. Google Search (Bing search works just fine!)
These work just fine when i switch off my WiFi and turn to 3G.
I have done a lot of research and tried a number of supposed fixes that worked for other people. They include :
1. Checking the Date & Time on my device
2. Switching to Airplane mode and back
3. Deleting my Google Account & Signing in again
4. Clearing cache, force stop etc
None of these seem to work. But at times, all of a sudden they start working. But it's completely random cause if I try the next day or something, they revert back to their non-functional state.
My WiFi at home runs on Google DNS servers. I can access these websites through my laptop.

I have 3 android devices (xperia s, htc one x and a galaxy s3) connected to a wifi network. This is kind of a protected network and there is a firewall involved. Also the devices are getting IP via DHCP. The problem is that i am able to access web site via browser but when i try from the application, its showing i don't have internet connection. There is no proxy configured in this network. There is an IP filtering in the router which filters the IPs starting with a particular series. But the web site and the application which i am trying to use are supposed to use this IP series.

Yesterday I updated to the android 2.1 & rooted my phone. I have voice caller ID, & speak message service (reads out SMS messages)...& yesterday & even a few hours ago, they were working just fine... I even tried out the new voice search stuff (microphone icon) & it was fine. Well bout an hour or so ago, my phone rang & it no longer said who was calling, nor will it read out my texts...& when I click on the microphone icon, a screen pops up that says "Audio Problems" try again or cancel. What could have happened that suddenly made these stop working? If I have to reset my phone again, will I have to re-update the androiod 2.1 & root my phone again? Can someone help me out please? I would really appreciate your guys help.

I have BB 0.9 as well as the smokeless glass theme and noticed that on my SMS app, CHOMPS MS the LED does not work. I try to 'test notification' but the LED does not flash regardless of the color I choose. This is extremely annoying as I don't know when I have a text anymore unless I hear my phone. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as going back to Handcent but still no luck. Is there an easy solution for this? I'm hoping!

I have the droid eris and I have tried MULTIPLE apps for ringtones and they either stop working, do not set or just suck (all scratchy). I went to verizon today thinking maybe something was wrong with my phone and they suggested that I use Zedge. I downloaded it don't like it much (hard to find what your looking for)
Anyways.. Does anyone know wtf is going on? Am I doing something wrong? (Tried assigning the ringtone/notification with the app and through settings)

I have had my phone for a few months now and it works great but every now and again one of my apps stop working for example: the facebook app tells me an error has occured whilst fetching data. or the com.sonyericsson app that I don't know what it does tells me the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly and tells me to force close. I rooted my phone and have Damage 2.07.2 running, I am attempting to install Wireless Tether, however something seems off about my Superuser Permissions Application, upon Wireless Tether starting I have Superuser Permissions App come up but the screen on the App is blank, I wait a moment and then have to wait or force close. It seems as though none of the Apps that require root are working properly.

I can not auto update my apps. It tells me is "started downloading" and that is it. It will not actually download the update and just stays like that forever and inturn will suck the battery. If i stop the update and just manually update the app it will download and install just fine. It is kinda weird that it will not download automatically. It even tells me it found updates. I have bb froyo.

I use Tmobile UK and I got to Amsterdam last night. My whatsapp stopped working and today I rebooted the phone and now all my apps except Chrome and Gmail do not work.
I having a roaming plan with TMobile so I'm not sure why my apps have stopped working. Do I need to enable certain stuff to keep them working?
I recently switched from BB to Samsung Galaxy S3 so I'm still new to Android.

Some apps like location tracking apps on my sons phone does not work all the time when his phones on 2g internet. But on wifi it seems to work all the time. Apps like life360 location tracking apps, remote control apps like androidlost, which uses push messages and also polling services works intermittently. Sometimes it works on 2g internet and sometimes it does not. But on wifi, there's no problem at all.
But strangely messaging apps like viber works continuously on 2g or wifi without any problems.

I am having a problem with my galaxy note 2, jellybean 4.1.2, rooted
After I restart my device, some apps stops working, when I clikc them, it says unfortunately, the app XXX stopped working.. with no report option.Also, some apps that still working, their data just get reset.. like I have never opened them..
I tried a factory reset and flashing new jellybean version (4.1.2) but I am still having this problem.. tell me whats happening? It's like the device is not loading the apps after restart or what exactly?

I have Fresh 2.1.2 loaded on my Hero. When trying to launch MetaMorph it tells me to make sure i have enough space in /system. I have wiped and reinstalled the rom and have almost 90 mb free on the phone. I also can't get root explorer to work but am more interested in getting MetaMorph working. Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone know of anyway to fix this?
