View 4 RepliesI'm trying custom the theme of Media Volume Controller (I don't know what it's called, just try to name it). It's something like a Toast with "Media Volume" title which appears when we press volume buttons (+ and -) in games. But I don't know which View it's, or it's a Toast, a Dialog. So far as I try, I could not find anything which refers it. Only Activity.setVolumeControlStream(AudioManager.STREAM_MUSIC)
to enable it in your Activity, and nothing more >_<
If someone know how to custom it, or just it's name.
On one page of my app there are sounds. Is there a line of code to allow the volume up/down buttons to switch to media volume control for that page of the app only? Or do I need to set it for the entire app, and how do I do that?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know if it's from some app I installed or what. But I noticed recently that suddenly the volume rocker only controls the Media Volume or the In-call volume (if you're in a call), not the Ringer Volume. I don't have anything playing, so not sure why it's like that. I want it to default to ringer and I'll worry about Media when I'm actually in a program that uses it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy dad somehow changed his volume control, so it only affects the media volume. Any clue on how to change it back? Instead of Ringer Volume, it says Media Volume on the box that pops up when pressing the volume controls.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a galaxy s4 today. The media controller on my galaxy gear was working fine before but now it isn't at all. Everything else is functioning except that. The devices are paired and I recently tried hard resetting the gear twice and no results.
Strangely enough, I've used my gear with 4.1.2 on my s3 and the media controller is the one thing that worked almost consistently.
I noticed that you can't adjust media volume without first playing media. Like you have to, for example, press the play button before pressing rocker volume in order to adjust media volume or else you'll just be adjusting ringer volume. This is unfortunate since games also use media volume. So if you wonna start up a quick game in a quiet setting, your in trouble if you were listening music before and never turned down/off the media volume. Unless I'm missing something and there is in fact a way to do it?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently bought some gameloft games for my droid incredible but i noticed all the sounds of music of the games are showing up on my media players. Is there any fix for this issue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically I have an old iPod touch 2g on iOS 4.x and a Nexus 5.
I want to use my iPod as my media player but I'd like to be able to control music from my Nexus (only basic controls).
Is there an app on either device that allows this? I know tsk skipping can be done by some Bluetooth headphones so I'm hoping there's a way to make iOS accept command from my Nexus
Is there an app that will increase media volume beyond what the phone naturally lets you?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn the Menu>Setting>Sounds and Display>Media Volume I have this setting to max and I'd still like my music louder still, Does anyone know of a way to increase the Media output Volume??
View 2 Replies View RelatedI love locale, however I don't see a way to change the media volume. I have a work profile and it shuts off wifi, turns my ringer off, etc. I would also like to turn the media volume off so that if I play a game or start an app with music it won't disturb others. Anyone know if this is possible?
View 2 Replies View RelatedCan i change the media volume? and how? I used this so far:
setVolumeControlStream(AudioManager.STREAM_MUSIC);
But have a seekbar and want to change the media volume not ringervol.
So can someone show me how to just change the media volume at onCreate() and i fix the seekbar later.
Some Android programs trigger the "media volume" slider when the hardware volume up/down buttons are pressed. My application seems to set the ringer volume when the hardware buttons are pressed. How would I enable the media volume slider? I would hate for users to have to go into their settings to change the media volume when they use my application.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMedia volume is too low on my HTC Incredible, even if turned all the way up. My ringer volume seems just fine though. After reading several posts for other android phones it seems the suggested route is to restore the phone to its original settings. I would rather not lose everything I've installed on my phone.
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy media volume is always muted right now, even after I go into settings and increase the volume and accept, I'll go right back and the volume bar is back at mute.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI think this may be an odd question for some, but I'm hoping to find some sensible way to get finer volume control on my Hero. When I've got the earbuds in and media volume set to minimum it's really still a bit on the loud side when I'm at home, rather than in the noisy outdoors. Has anyone seen something that can do this? I expect it's easy as pie with a rooted device, but I haven't bothered with that just yet.
View 1 Replies View Relatedwhere do u guys get your ringtones from cause the ones that came with the g1 suck and the volume is too low.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI find the volume of my mp3 too low sometimes... and couldn't find any equalizer or similar app in android market.
Does anyone know of any app that could turn up the volume, pls?
I know there are all that compliance and FCC stuff also about health care, etc. But it's just that some mp3s are really on a too low volume
As much as I knew, There are 4 volume types in Android Phone. They are "Ringer Volume", "Media Volume", "Alarm Volume", and "Volume". But the volumes which are adjustable in Settings are only "Ringer Volume" and Alarm Volume" in Settings - Audio Profiles. I can't find where to adjust "Media Volume" and "Volume".
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm a brand new HTC Desire user, and on the advice of some friends I've installed Meridian media player and Audiomanager (among other apps, of course). The problem I have is that the minimum volume for media is still too loud for me while listening to music at work. Is there any way I could say, lower the overall volume of the phone? Secondly, what kind of app can people suggest as an equalizer for adjusting bass/treble etc?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have HTC Desire with Android 2.1 and Windows 7 Premium 32bit. I have created some 3GP videos on the HTC and can play these successfully. When I transfer the file to Windows 7 the playback via Windows Media play doesn't have any sound. Same files playback with volume via iTunes. I'd really like to use these files with Windows Media Player. Is this some sort of codec issue? Why are such task seemingly simple tasks made so difficult?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI did a search but did not find a specific answer to my question:Is there an app/widget to toggle the media volume from mute to ON? Or some other shortcut method to adjust the volume and/or mute the media volume without having to first play media?Another thread said that there was an app for it but it did not state the name and I could not find it on the market.
View 9 Replies View RelatedLooking for quick and easy access to media volume. Its annoying to go into settings everytime to adjust. A nice widget would be like a switch that lets me use my volume rocker for phone and then when I hit the widget, I can use the rocker for media volume and vice versa.
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy wife is going to pop out a mini me in about 2 weeks. She wants (desperately) to have an "all natural" birth experience. In order to deal with the pain, she is using a program called "Hypno-Babies", which consists of a series of hypno-induction preparedness CDs, and then a "Birthing" CD to listen to."You feel no pain. Your pelvis is not splitting. Your vagina is not tearing..." I'm being as supportive as possible, as I have a role in this as well, but this is our second, and I know she's going to be asking for the epi about 2 hours into it!She wants to use her Droid to listen to the CD while she is in labor. The problem is that any distraction through the Droid will have an impact on the whole thing. (If the incoming messages notification sounds like a chicken, she might come out of all this clucking!) Well, maybe not that bad, but it will screw up her concentration.I use Sound Manager on mine, but I need to make sure that there's absolutely no chance that my wife's Droid does anything other than behave like an mp3 player.
View 26 Replies View RelatedI just upgrading my phone to Android 2.2.
I realize that even if I set my media volume to max, the media volume output is still very weak.
This issue is not found when my phone is running on Android 2.1
Has anyone seen this issue?
Is this a bug? Is there a fix for this?
I've found this annoying bug that makes the media volume go to mute and I'm unable to turn it back on unless I restart. It happens if I have headphones in and go a while without listening to music. It doesn't happen every day but the bug does rear its ugly head at least twice a week.
Having same issue with the S3 and Note 2 or any other phones? Both of them are on at&t, not rooted and have the latest OS updates on it.
I am trying to work out if there is an app or a tweak that will join the Media & Ringer Volume together?
So if i adjust one it adjusts the other. (Can even include alarm too if that makes it easier).
I just copied all my music folders onto a SD card and those folders contained album art which does show up when i play music on my G1.
Unfortunately all the album art also shows up under "pictures". Is there anyway to tell the G1 to stop looking for pictures in my music folder?
Question: The EVO 4G plays an audio file whenever you adjust the ringtone volume with the volume rocker buttons. Does anyone know which file this is and where it's located? Why I'm asking (in case you're interested): I'm one of those that does not like to hit the power button everytime I want to sleep/lock or wake up my phone. It's simply an awkward button for me to hit and I'm afraid I'll wear it out over time or accidentally drop the phone. So, I'm using 'Screen Off' to sleep the phone with homescreen shortcut and 'No Lock' to prevent the phone from going entirely into lock mode. This lets me use the volume rocker buttons to wake the phone. The problem is that each time I hit the button it plays the 'plunk' sound indicating the volume level, which is driving me a little nuts (think Chinese water torture). I've been unable to find a solution to this problem, and am now looking at finding the media/audio file for this and simply replacing it with a silent audio clip. But I searched for all media files in /system, played them each, and couldn't find a match.
