Is there an app that will increase media volume beyond what the phone naturally lets you?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI listen to Pandora on the Eris and podcasts on the HTC provided media player. At full volume with earphones, the volume is still quite low, much lower than what my blackberry puts out, and not very good. Any way to up the volume besides the side volume rocker? Would a different media player application give me a better volume output or is it a problem built into the phone?

Just ordered one of these to test ear bud amp. "Fiio E3 Headphone Amp" but it's more of a hassle to get the results. I was hoping android app might offer fix.
Fine for using headphones but I plug mine into aux on my car radio. Could be louder to be honest. Just wondered if there was any way to increase the max volume output?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI know that there was a root-required app that increased the volume output from the speaker when on the phone. Does anyone know what this was called? I want to test it out on my EVO.
View 5 Replies View RelatedOn one page of my app there are sounds. Is there a line of code to allow the volume up/down buttons to switch to media volume control for that page of the app only? Or do I need to set it for the entire app, and how do I do that?

View 10 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone feel that EVO's media audio output volume is low? I am a former iPhone user and IMO there is a noticeable difference in the overall output db level compared to iPhone only when playing audio files like mp3 and .wav. Does anyone know if there is a way to boost the audio output volume for non rooted users? Is there an app that could help?

Google's free navigation used to be a selling point for the OS, but it currently has some issues. Prior to Android 2.3, there used to be separate volume levels for media and navigation. However, these got combined into media so you can no longer tweak your navigation volume independent of your music. The end result is that the only way to make navigation audible in the car is to have the stereo volume at a level that would cause the music volume to bother many people (I usually drive with two toddlers in my car).
But there's another thing that I noticed. Switching between Bluetooth output to line output (the car's AUX input) has an effect on volume, but not one that makes sense. Music played through Google Music (and other media players, including PowerAMP) is louder over Bluetooth. I have to have the volume at 2 bars in my Fusion on Bluetooth to match the music volume set at 4 bars on line out. But here's the weird thing, navigation volume is not effected. It sounds the same on both, meaning that it suddenly becomes audible on line out.
Android is doing something weird where it amplifies music over Bluetooth, but not other sounds. As it stands, Bluetooth is more convenient, but it makes turn-by-turn navigation more difficult.

The microphone volume of my Bluetooth headset is on the low side. It's the same headset I used with my previous Windows Mobile phone and in that configuration I had no problems. I paired a different Bluetooth headset with the Desire, but no luck... the volume is still to low. The volume of the build-in mic is ok.
Does anybody know what I can do to increase the mic volume? Settings? App?
I don't know if it's from some app I installed or what. But I noticed recently that suddenly the volume rocker only controls the Media Volume or the In-call volume (if you're in a call), not the Ringer Volume. I don't have anything playing, so not sure why it's like that. I want it to default to ringer and I'll worry about Media when I'm actually in a program that uses it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy dad somehow changed his volume control, so it only affects the media volume. Any clue on how to change it back? Instead of Ringer Volume, it says Media Volume on the box that pops up when pressing the volume controls.

View 3 Replies View RelatedOK...everyone thought that a louder speakerphone/ringer volume fix would be in for Froyo 2.2 when the OTA came out, and that was the only reason I installed it in the first place. But...I'm finding that this same problem is the affliction of any ROM I install. I'm wondering if it's the software or my phone, because many users report high volumes despite my problem. My OG Droid was at least twice as loud as my X. So...my question is, is there any sort of way to increase volume for this phone?
