I listen to Pandora on the Eris and podcasts on the HTC provided media player. At full volume with earphones, the volume is still quite low, much lower than what my blackberry puts out, and not very good. Any way to up the volume besides the side volume rocker? Would a different media player application give me a better volume output or is it a problem built into the phone?

How can I increase EVO 3.5mm jack output beyond stock settings ?
Is there a practical method that won't give up sound Q ?
Pandora Radio doesn't have enough vol. in noisy settings.
Just ordered one of these to test ear bud amp. "Fiio E3 Headphone Amp" but it's more of a hassle to get the results. I was hoping android app might offer fix.

I know that there was a root-required app that increased the volume output from the speaker when on the phone. Does anyone know what this was called? I want to test it out on my EVO.

On one page of my app there are sounds. Is there a line of code to allow the volume up/down buttons to switch to media volume control for that page of the app only? Or do I need to set it for the entire app, and how do I do that?

Does anyone feel that EVO's media audio output volume is low? I am a former iPhone user and IMO there is a noticeable difference in the overall output db level compared to iPhone only when playing audio files like mp3 and .wav. Does anyone know if there is a way to boost the audio output volume for non rooted users? Is there an app that could help?

So we all know the speaker is kind of quiet. Does anyone know if there is an app or program I can use to amp all output volume? I know using your own
media for alarms and ringtones. But what about games and speakerphone etc?

Google's free navigation used to be a selling point for the OS, but it currently has some issues. Prior to Android 2.3, there used to be separate volume levels for media and navigation. However, these got combined into media so you can no longer tweak your navigation volume independent of your music. The end result is that the only way to make navigation audible in the car is to have the stereo volume at a level that would cause the music volume to bother many people (I usually drive with two toddlers in my car).
But there's another thing that I noticed. Switching between Bluetooth output to line output (the car's AUX input) has an effect on volume, but not one that makes sense. Music played through Google Music (and other media players, including PowerAMP) is louder over Bluetooth. I have to have the volume at 2 bars in my Fusion on Bluetooth to match the music volume set at 4 bars on line out. But here's the weird thing, navigation volume is not effected. It sounds the same on both, meaning that it suddenly becomes audible on line out.
Android is doing something weird where it amplifies music over Bluetooth, but not other sounds. As it stands, Bluetooth is more convenient, but it makes turn-by-turn navigation more difficult.

I have a wired headset with a boom mic. It is a cheap one, but works well. Only trouble is that the volume is too quiet. Wondering if there is a way to up the volume output? An aftermarket app. Or a hack if I have too.

Since two weeks, I am the happy owner of a HTC Desire. Great phone and I love Android! One issue though...
The microphone volume of my Bluetooth headset is on the low side. It's the same headset I used with my previous Windows Mobile phone and in that configuration I had no problems. I paired a different Bluetooth headset with the Desire, but no luck... the volume is still to low. The volume of the build-in mic is ok.
Does anybody know what I can do to increase the mic volume? Settings? App?

I don't know if it's from some app I installed or what. But I noticed recently that suddenly the volume rocker only controls the Media Volume or the In-call volume (if you're in a call), not the Ringer Volume. I don't have anything playing, so not sure why it's like that. I want it to default to ringer and I'll worry about Media when I'm actually in a program that uses it.

My dad somehow changed his volume control, so it only affects the media volume. Any clue on how to change it back? Instead of Ringer Volume, it says Media Volume on the box that pops up when pressing the volume controls.

My Incredible has appropriate volume for phone calls, but when I plug in my earbuds, to listen to podcasts, etc., the volume is much too low. Does anybody know of any way to increase the volume when using earbuds? I do have the volume key set all the way to high, but for music and podcasts it doesn't make it.

First of all, I love my incredible, but I'm afraid my in-call volume is very low. I've turned the rocker all the way up, and it's still very low. Speaker works great on the other hand. Anyone else having these issues, or maybe mine's just low?

Is there an app for increasing the ringer/alert volume on the HTC Incredible? The original Motorola Droid had plenty of volume, but the phone sucked. Now we have the Incredible that works great, but only if you hear the ringer.Has there been any discussion about an update, because I haven't seen anything? I did see discussion though about the Motorola Droid X.

OK...everyone thought that a louder speakerphone/ringer volume fix would be in for Froyo 2.2 when the OTA came out, and that was the only reason I installed it in the first place. But...I'm finding that this same problem is the affliction of any ROM I install. I'm wondering if it's the software or my phone, because many users report high volumes despite my problem. My OG Droid was at least twice as loud as my X. So...my question is, is there any sort of way to increase volume for this phone?

I'm having a small issue with my current phone and headphones. The problem is that headphones and phone have no problem with higher output volume. Temporary solution - speaker boost, trouble is: it causes any equalizer to FC.
How can I increase the volume at kernel level? If that's not possible then rom level would be enough. No apps, just pure source changes.
