So I'm relatively new to Android, and I need to know how to get photos off of my phone and onto iPhoto (a Mac)? I've got a Sprint Hero.
When I connect a typical digital camera to my Mac, it automatically pulls up iPhoto, shows the photos on the camera and it's simple to import. However, when I connect my Hero to my Mac, that doesn't happen. Do I have to do something on my phone to get it to pull up iPhoto?

Some custom ROMs have different ringtones. I have a "Ringtones" folder on my SD with my own, but the ROMs carry theirs internally and once you change ROMs, so do the ringtones. I haven't looked yet, but would they possibly be in the ROM zip file and could I just pull them out of the zip to my computer? I guess I will look now, but let me know if this is the right way or if something else works better. Ultimately I would like to pull off all system ringtones so I can condense to my own and ones I have selected. It's overwhelming sometimes given that I don't and won't ever use 70% of the stock tones.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAre any of you having trouble with this? The sensor doesn't seem to be working the way it should. I have a problem accessing the keyboard during calls to automated services and sometimes the screen won't stay lit long enough for me to end my calls.
Aside from that, my Droid keeps freezing up today. I haven't had any trouble with that before. I've got a week to go before I pass my 30 day trial. I'm not sure what to do. This phone has to be mailed in as I got it online. If there's a way to fix these problems, I'd rather not send it in and wait 3 weeks to receive a new one.
I would like to know if it is possible to swap the top and bottom pull out menus?
Also, if the phone is shut down will the alarm turn it back on?
When I uploaded photos from my phone which is a HTC One x it shows all the deleted photos that I took which I deleted on my phone also it keeps duplicating the photos so end up having 3 of each photo.

I read that they will replace the phone under warranty.... I still have the pull tab and put it back in, is it worth risking getting a refurbished phone?

Details shows "Location Unknown" and Astro file manager can not find them in a search.
I would like to know how they ended up on my phone and how to get rid of them.

View 13 Replies View RelatedSometimes, after manually locking the phone, I'll try to unlock the phone but the "swipe" bar no longer shows up. It's almost comical when this happens, as I can get phone calls, emails, texts etc during those times (I can even pick up/reply), but the phone goes immediately to that "swipe less" lock screen right afterward. There is no way for me to unlock the phone (even a long press on the lock button doesn't work), so I have to take off the case and do a battery pull to reset. Has any experienced this and does anyone have any fixes for it?

After switching the phone on a screen for factory reset appears. Four lines of errors come up and the phone self formated itself. (error reading data, reading cache etc..). So i set it up again but it happens again today...First it was while i play modern combat 2. Second time when i was just scrolling thorough screens. I want to be able to grab a small piece of the window and pull it up. Or just click it and it will "pop up". And afterwards be able to pull or click it so it returs to its original space.

I have the android SDK and have used the command
adb pull /data/data/com.myapp.android/databases C:pulls
but all I get is
pull: building file list...
0 files pulled. 0 files skipped.
Also, it seems no matter how much data I add to the tutorial NotePad app I installed, the data size for the app (as shown in Settings) never exceeds 8KB. How is this possible? Is there some other place where databases are stored? When I use the File Explorer view (that's part of ADT) in Eclipse, I see there's nothing in /data.
To add a twist, I have no trouble pulling any other files from the device. It's just databases I have trouble with.
I am doing a factory reset 2 which deletes everything including the SD card. My question is which information is in the google cloud and what do I need to save and the best way to do that? I basically only want to keep all my contacts and photos.

Does anyone know of a way to get a larger contact photo to show up when they call you (or you call them)? That tiny little icon image is just annoying to me. I want it to fill up more of the screen.
Running a Bell Galaxy-S with 2.1 and the OCLF. Recently when I lock my phone or it just goes to sleep (screen shuts off) I can't unlock it. The screen just stays blank and it requires me to pull the battery and replace to boot it back up. There doesn't appear to be any consistency with this error and I haven't installed any new apps in recent time that would have changed the phone around.

I have turned it on and off several times and have taken the battery out and put it back several times and nothing works. I have only had the phone for approximately 3 days. Anything I can do to fix it myself? I can't even pull up the phone pad or certain settings because I get an error message. I called technical support but because I can't get to the phone pad they can't help me.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI really am trying to order my Eris today. I have been waiting for the Passion, though I am not even sure I would choose it over the Eris. Also considered the Moto many times, but just can't get over how large it feels in my pocket (also concerned I am too rough on things to have a sliding mechanism on my phone). As Eris owners, am I crazy not to wait it out another 4 weeks or so to see if the Passion's speed and screen resolution are worth an extra $100+?? By the way, I am not worried about the battery.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI wasn't an idiot and pulled it out on purpose. But maybe from pulling it from having my phone rooted is the cause. Anyways, its gone. Does anyone have any fixes? I was thinking of putting scotch tape around the battery with a little slack from both ends on the one side, so I have a non sticky homemade "pull tab". It should work but just wondering if anyone has a better idea I'm not thinking of.
