View 6 Replies View RelatedI would have to say that locale is my favorite app so far. I had some trouble with it being inconsistent last week, but now it seems to be running smoothly. I'm saving battery power by having it turn off my WiFi settings while I'm at work, during work hours. The second best would have to be Bonsai Blast, which is a more complicated and challenging game than I expected.

View 49 Replies View RelatedI've checked all the forums and have only found people who are reviewing, praising or comparing the Swype Keyboard. When I got my EVO I heard great things about Swype and how Sprint was making it their official keyboard. I have read that the Samsung Epic 4g will come preloaded with Swype, however, I've yet to be able to find an APK for Swype that works. I downloaded Shapewriter when it was available and now have that which I enjoy using but I plan on swapping out my phone for the White Evo (I know its the same thing but my bf prefers the black over the white) and even with Astro File Manager backup I cannot save the APK for Shapewriter. Where did everyone get Swype from? It is not in the market and the closest thing available now is SlideIT which is 5.99 Euro 7.75 US. I attempted to download the apk via torrents but ended up with a bunch of expired trial apks. Did I completely miss the time frame for this download? Does anyone know where I can get it? And what other Keyboards have you tried? I've done reviews on all of them accept Swype and Betterkeyboard. I found swiftkey to be a good qwerty in landscape with haptic feedback since theirs a lot of space between keys, and the Evos stock keyboard has the best T9 for portrait mode, and I think I like SlideIT better than Shapewriter which I hate to type on without swiping the keys. So my two questions are:
Where do I get Swype? and What is your favorite keyboard?

View 1 Replies View RelatedBEfore i updated to 2.2 i used to get a green number next to a contact on the fav contacts widget whenever one of them updated their status.
Ie if my GF posted something on her wall her name woudl get a green 1 next to her name on the widget.
Ever since i updated this doesnt happen anymore. Has this been removed from 2.2, I have checked all the settings and nothings changed.
Is there an Intent URI that sends you to your phones favorite contacts?
Just like content://contacts/people/ sends you to all your contacts and tel: sends you to your dialer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI finally have hardware working the way I like it at home (stereo inputs), at the office and gym (bluetooth headphones), and in the car (aux input or bluetooth to head unit). Now I'm ready to pay for an ad free music streaming app. The problem is deciding which one to get. I've messed around with the free versions of Pandora, Slacker and TuneWiki as well as FlyCast for streaming FM stations. I'm not crazy about the latter two as I prefer to create a customized "station" that plays exactly the music I'm in the mood for. I've also used Grooveshark on the computer, but I have no idea how good the Android app is without a Lite version to test.
Pandora, Slacker and Grooveshark charge roughly $3/month for ad-free music. I'm curious to know what others think about the various services, or one I have not mentioned. I don't mind paying for a good app, but I can't justify paying for all of them when one should suffice. So what's your preference? A reason besides "It's the best" would be an added bonus.

I was wondering, why there is no functionality to pin threads a user is interested in. As there is such a high traffic on these groups, it takes time to find the threads I answered to or some I am interested to see how the problem is solved. Sometimes you don't remember the naming of the subject or the user that wrote it and then searching becomes annoying. An easy way would be to pin some threads! I mean the right side is nearly empty an everybody is authenticated when she uses the group, not to just read.

When I press the phone button, I get the call log, and then I can click over to Favorites to get my most-used contacts. It would be perfect if when I click on the phone button, it would default to my favorites instead of the call log. Is this possible?

The closest competitor would be SugarSync but I really hate their interface and I think their service is slow and terrible.
