Recommend a good favorite contacts widget that can have photo?
Or something like making contact shortcut to the home screen.
There is Person widget by HTC, but it is awful (the photo is too small).

I'm looking for a widget that will pop up a window with my favorite contacts and allow me to dial them. Then the popup window will disappear. Is there any such thing?

View 7 Replies View RelatedIn 1.5, there was a htc widget that you can put on your home screen and add your favorite contacts to it, and it allows you to choose the action of calling or texting when you tap on their pictures.
I couldn't find this widget anywhere in 2.1. Also, is there any app/widget that is similar to the one im talking about from 1.5?
1. The stock EVO theme has a verticle widget for your favorite contacts along with 4G toggle, Bluetooth toggle, WiFi toggle, and GPS toggle on screen 3. I have removed the favorties widget and can't seem to find it in the list of widgets. Is there an easy way to get it back without going back to the stock theme, and modifying it again?
2. My HTC Weather widget on the home screen doesn't seem to update well. As late as 8:50am today, I sync / refreshed the weather, and I am still showing the moon and not the sun. Same thing happened yesterday... except an 8:20 refresh brought in the sun. The Weather Channel app is much better about adjusting to morning/night...and they always seem to display different temps from the HTC weather. I thought errybody got their numbers from the same source.
I love the Inc one, but it takes up to much room and I really want a widget this is horizontal rather than vertical.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy wife's phone - which is a ZTE Blade running 2.2 - is losing it's favorites in the contacts manager each time it syncs to Google Contacts.
I looked up her Google Contacts [URL] and there is no "Starred in Android" group, as it should be. I think it should be automatically created when she fovorites a contac in her phone. But instead, it deletes the starring of the contacts in the phone each time it syncs.
Has anyone released a more accurate Battery App? I've been using Battery Status, but I'm now bored as to how it looks. Anyone wanna recommend a good one with a nice interface?
Also, what widgets have you guys downloaded and are using?
I love my "Fancy Widget" Weather and Clock widget. Was wondering what some other good ones are. Doesn't matter if they are pay or not. New to the phone and I'm learning.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBEfore i updated to 2.2 i used to get a green number next to a contact on the fav contacts widget whenever one of them updated their status.
Ie if my GF posted something on her wall her name woudl get a green 1 next to her name on the widget.
Ever since i updated this doesnt happen anymore. Has this been removed from 2.2, I have checked all the settings and nothings changed.
Is there an Intent URI that sends you to your phones favorite contacts?
Just like content://contacts/people/ sends you to all your contacts and tel: sends you to your dialer.

Find a sport app that I'm looking for? I've been through many different ones and none are what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for an app widget that gives the scores of all the games not just my favorite teams.
I don't know if this is phone-specific. I have a Sprint HTC Hero. When I press the phone button, I get the call log, and then I can click over to Favorites to get my most-used contacts. It would be perfect if when I click on the phone button, it would default to my favorites instead of the call log. Is this possible?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using an Eris at the moment, and favorites that were populated by default shows a card and prompts me for the desired action. I realize that selecting the name below the icon allows me to choose different actions, but I have very poor accuracy in trying to tap on just the name, so for contacts that I've added that I'm forced to choose a default action, it's very difficult for me to choose an alternate action.
The instruction manual says to "press and hold" the contact to change the default action, but that selects the entire widget to move or discard.
Does anyone know how to change the default action to prompt me each time I open a specific favorite contact?
I've seen this question for the Hero too, but with no answers. Posted on the HTC forum, but that's looking rather un-promising.
I was trying to add contact favorites to the second home page (scrolling to the right home page) and I accidentally dragged the " + " button to the trash. Therefore I'm unable to add additional contacts to the page. Any ideas besides a hard factory reset?

I'm currently using the one from Beautiful Widgets, but as much as I like the other widgets in that package, I think the SMS one is painfully ugly and doesn't fit with anything else on my home screen. I know I could have Handcent do popup notifications, but I would prefer to have a widget like the one I currently use that sits on the home screen.
Something skinnable would be preferable, but if nothing like that exists, then perhaps a simple, minimalistic or universal design.
Anybody know of anything that I might like? I'm willing to pay for a good one, it doesn't have to be a freebie.
