I've noticed over some time that some comments are disappearing and not just old ones but ones that have recently been placed, is this a bug?The comment that I noticed was placed on 6/3 but doesn't show on the phone, it only shows on some sites that index the market.

every time I have looked at the market comments for my app over the last few days some more comments have disappeared. This is whether I look on the phone or on the developer console.Unfortunately the comments that Google has chosen to 'lose' are my most favourable comments leaving several "This app suxss" type comments by the usual Neanderthals who like to be abusive. I have checked with a helpful user who left a positive comment and they have not removed them themselves or de-installed so what is going on? It is seriously hurting my downloads/sales and the impression that potential users of my app see when they look on the market. I have emailed Google but no reply yet.

If so, what would the code for that look like if I used an EditText view to allow user input? Actually there are quite a few so I don't feel like going through and checking all the version numbers of whats installed. View 4 Replies View RelatedA friend of mine rooted my samsung mobile Galaxy S I9000 with a android 2.2 version. I read information on rooting your device, in which everything is explained very well, but could not find information on how to update once a device was rooted (probably I did not search in the right place). What I did so far is:
1) Taking backup of my pics (by manually drag and drop the folder on my pc), SMS and call logs (with sms backup + app), syncronized my contacts with gmail so that I can recover them later on and backup the music folder. I installed backup Titanium to back up my apps on my SD card.
1) Which most recent version of Android is supported on the device I have?
2) Is there important information that I forgot to back up?
3) Is there a guide with step by step procedure on which files I have to download on my pc and which procedure to follow?
I just noticed a new link in the developer console for comments.When clicked, it shows the comments the users have posted. No way to answer them but at least you can see them outside the device.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've only had my Android phone for about 2 weeks now but being a bit of a geek love to tweak things to make them "cooler"...Updating - can I manually update from 2.2.1 to a newer version?Widget - There was a widget already installed with 5 icons, WiFi-Bluetooth-?-?-brightness Not sure what the two are but I suspect perhaps GPS (looks like it might be a sat dish) and Account Sync (circle with 2 curved arrows)Sometimes the phone boots in Safe Mode and after a few reboots finally boots into "normal" mode. Through trial and error I can get to a "recovery" prompt but that has "wipe" functions and I don't want to wipe my data. Is there an other option or just keep rebooting until it works? I read that you can hold the volume + button, but that brings up a factory testing menu on this clone phone.
The phone is a HTC clone from China (Hero 300 listed on box). I have a 2GB card I'm using with it. It appears to be "rooted" because there is the superuser icon.

Starting Tuesday, the comments are displayed in the same area as the articles, causing everything to be unreadable. (In CNN articles you have to click on Show Comments before the comments are loaded. But in listverse they are always there.)
I have Android 2.3.7 on an HTC Inspire phone. I'm using the stock browser.
P.S. These articles etc. look okay on a Windows7 computer. BTW, 75% of newssites that have comments, use disqus.
