How do you do a multiple selection in the default mail app?
My server's spam filter works pretty well, directing most of the spam to my Trash folder, and very little "real" mail. So when I look in my Trash folder I might have 30 messages, and 28 of them are spam. How do I select all 28 of them for deletion in one fell swoop, so I don't have to tediously delete each one one-at-a-time?

View 3 Replies View RelatedEdit: Okay, I found a solution. Don't know that it's the proper solution, but it does work correctly. Added to the code below. I'm trying to allow a user to select a number of directories from a checklist, and return them upon clicking a "Submit" button. Here's a snippet of my code. It populates the List View with all the directories on /sd card/, and for the initial selection (of however many I pick) when I submit, the log shows the correct choices returned. However, if I un check an item, and click "Submit" again, it still shows as if all are selected. Do I need to write a handler to un check an item? I thought that was taken care of by the choice Mode selection?

I guess we can select multiple entries from ListView but I don't have much space to show all the entires and also I need to show three different categories on the same Activity which you can select from.

I'm trying to use Spinner as a button with selection pop-up. Basically I want an icon and when user clicks it - the popup list is displayed and user can make a selection. The Spinner happily accepts icon image as drawable background. Unfortunately when I select a value the text overlays the background. Is it possible to set selection text color as a transparent? Or maybe there's a better way?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI mistakenly selected one of two email accounts on my X -- as being the "Default"
This was a mistake, as I really should have kept the setting dynamic -- so I could chose to send from either account.
Now I can't undo that default setting -- nor can I even switch the default to the other email account.
Here's how I got to the menu in question:
GUI Messaging Icon > Left Menu Button > Messaging Settings > Email > Default Email Account
Anyone know how I can undo this default setting -- and put myself back in the position of being able to select which account to use dynamically?
I have a dozen images that I want to email. From what I have seen so far, I have to attach them one at a time. Is there a multiple select to attach to an email.

One server is for all the email sent within the company itself and the other server is for all the outgoing and incoming mail from outside the company. The problem is that both servers run different pop3 settings, but use the same email address. This is however not a problem to set up on outlook.
The problem is to set it up on my phone. I have already done the outside server (email), but when I try to set up our inter company server (email) my Desire says that there is already an account with the same email address. And I can thus not continue with the set up.
I will be buying the N1 on big red when it comes out (let's hope the March 23rd rumor is true). I know that you can access multiple G Mail accounts through the phone but does anyone know if you can have a G Mail and another account. I am a medical student and get important minute-to-minute emails about things for the hospital. The account I have through the school uses OWA and the school has dropped its ability to automatically forward emails to other accounts. Also, as much as I have tried, I can not get my GM ail account to import/retrieve emails from the OWA account. So I am hoping to have the .edu account and the G Mail account simultaneously. Any help would be provided from anyone currently using N1 on TMo. Even if you could test it by trying to set up another email with another POP 3 email server.

However, in Android on an HTC Magic, you cannot select which account to send "from", you can only send from the g mail account (in the g mail app). Yes, I know you can configure each one with an I MAP account, but I don't want that. I use G mail to store everything. So my question to existing HTC Hero users is: In the G mail application on a HTC Hero can you send from multiple email addresses?

I have no way to access my contacts (people) and choose more than one contact without having to keep adding one contact at a time. View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 a couple of days ago and since then i've tried to get my e-mail settings sorted out. I have been searching the internet for a long time without finding a solution.
My problem is that i have 4 e-mail accounts and 3 of them i need constantly. My phone can show my e-mails on a nice widget on the homescreen using the default "e-mail" labeled widget3 . However i cant choose which e-mail account i want it to show. Now all i have is 4 times the same nice widget showing me the same e-mail account's 3 newest posts.
I have tried several other e-mail clients but all of them have the same problem. I really like the default client which is bundled on the phone, but it won't do me any good if i cant see all my accounts.
I just got a Droid Eris on Monday. The girl helping me at Verizon programmed my personal g mail account in as she was doing the initial set up. Since then I have attempted to set up my business email account which uses the Google Business Account on my Eris. Thus far I have been unable to add my second email account. Can someone help me?

I just can't figure out how to add multiple email accounts under the Email app. Under email settings I see where it says default mail account and it shows both of my account, but the front screen doesn't show both accounts?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got a Samsung Skyrocket on AT&T. It's running 2.3.5. I love the phone but have one question:
When sending an email, NOT Gmail, and I select the recipient from my contacts, it automatically picks up the default email address that was selected for that contact within the contact manager. Several of my contacts have more than one email address and I need to be able to choose which address to send to. The thing is, I see no option to do so when selecting the contact in the email message. The only way around this that I can see is to have separate contact entries for each email address. That would mean I could have four or more contact entries for each person. Totally not acceptable.
So, am I missing something here? Is there a way to select which email address you want to send to when creating a message? Or do I have to go in and change the default email address within the contact before I compose my emails?
I am considering getting a Android based phone, something like a My Touch from TMO or the Nexus One Google phone, however, I have a question about how email works on the Android OS. First, if I have multiple email addresses setup, will they be setup separately or all in one main "mail" box? Second, when I receive a message and respond to it, will it reply from the email address that received the message or will it use a generic email address such as the GMail account that is used to setup the phone? I really like the touchscreen and the fact that the screens are larger than the BlackBerry and it makes the overall experience very nice, however, I am very fluent with the BlackBerry and it does everything I NEED it to do, however, I WANT to have a little more fun with browsing the web, etc.

On this calendar I also can view my calendars of other family members.The problem I am having is that I had to create a google account when I bought the phone. However, I can't seem to get my non-google calendar to show up on the phone.I have tried using my new google account to "friend" my non-google calendar account but it's still not showing up.

I've tried both. My most complex applications using one activity per screen. However, now that I'm successfully written an app with just one activity and handling the back button myself, I don't see any compelling reason to use multiple activities. The one activity application is much simpler and more straightforward.
What advantages of multiple activities am I missing?
