My list view is a multiple selection list view. i have to show the selected list view items in one color(say green) and the other items in some other color(red). How to achieve this?

The Spinner happily accepts icon image as drawable background. Unfortunately when I select a value the text overlays the background. Is it possible to set selection text color as a transparent? Or maybe there's a better way?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the following code to intantiate a SimpleCursorAdapter to use with a ListView. As you can see I have passed the R.layout.log_item to display the list items, and one value/control to bind to (TripDate).

This works. I currently only have one widget in the layout xml, a TextView to hold the TripDate.
How do I pass multiple binding parameters for the additional widgets in the layout? So I can also display other info.

I'm developing application that shows thumbnails of images in gridview widget. I load HTML with image names, and set ImageAdapter. That image adapter loads single image (from internet or SD card) in AsyncTask with selected image position. After I initially download HTML with image names, and parse them to array, I set selection of GridView to index of last image. But, what happens is this : first image that gets downloaded is image with index zero. That gives me a lot of trouble because I'm using convert views and AsyncTasks, so sometimes I end up with wrong picture at first column in last row (sometimes picture with index 0 gets in there), depending on which AsyncTask gets executed first. Even stranger, I end up with around 10 calls to getView for image with index 0.Does anyone have idea how to switch GridViews position to last image, and not have image with index 0 loading?

One of the sort options is to move the checked items to the beginning of the list. I would like to allow users to check some items in the list, select the 'sort by checks' option, check some more items in the list, and select the 'sort by checks' option again. However, I don't see how to detect that second selection of the spinner's 'sort by checks' option.
I've tried using setOnItemSelectedListener, but it doesn't call the onItemSelected handler unless a different item is selected. And I've tried using setOnItemClickListener, but it seems that listener cannot be used with a spinner according to following run-time exception from logcat:

So when I look in my Trash folder I might have 30 messages, and 28 of them are spam. The problem is, if I select multiple rows, then multiple rows have a colored background. I only want the clicked item to have a colored background. So if I click on row 2, I want it to turn red, then if I click row 1, I want row 2 to go back to normal, and row 1 to turn red.

I'm trying to allow a user to select a number of directories from a checklist, and return them upon clicking a "Submit" button. Here's a snippet of my code. It populates the List View with all the directories on /sd card/, and for the initial selection (of however many I pick) when I submit, the log shows the correct choices returned. However, if I un check an item, and click "Submit" again, it still shows as if all are selected. Do I need to write a handler to un check an item? I thought that was taken care of by the choice Mode selection?

Is there a way to show that a WebView item contained as a item in a ListView is selected? Right now the WebView does not seem to display its contents transparently like every other control so it takes up the entire view and does not show its state as selected.
Also, when the content of the WebView is selected, scrolling down with the track back does not seem to cause the WebView to loose focus. If I continue to scroll down with the track ball, all of a sudden an item in the middle of the ListView gets selected.
